[0003] The object of the present invention is to provide a long seat for a vehicle and a vehicle having at least one such long seat, thereby enabling the particularly advantageous availability of the long seat.
[0004] This task is accomplished according to the invention by means of a long seat having the features of claim 1 and a vehicle having the features of claim 10. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
[0005] A first aspect of the invention relates to a long seat for a vehicle preferably constructed as a motor vehicle, particularly an automobile, and entirely, particularly, a passenger car, the interior space of which (also referred to as passenger space, passenger compartment, or driver's cab) is formed by a superstructure, for example, a self-supporting body structure. The vehicle, in its fully manufactured state, has the superstructure, the long seat, and the interior space in which the long seat is arranged. The long seat has at least two seats arranged side-by-side in the vehicle's transverse direction in the long seat's mounting position, namely a first seat and a second seat. The long seat occupies its mounting position in the fully manufactured state of the vehicle having the long seat. The long seat has a backrest having at least one or exactly one backrest portion. This backrest portion is also referred to as a first backrest portion. Unless otherwise stated, the backrest portion is understood to be the first backrest portion when referred to above and below. The backrest portion is the first backrest portion of the backrest. The backrest portion is coupled to the first seat, wherein the backrest portion partially constitutes the first seat in such a way as to form a first backrest region of the first seat. The person sitting in the first seat can lean their back, especially along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, against the first backrest area, and thus against the backrest portion. For example, the bench seat has a first seating portion that corresponds to the first seat, which constitutes the first seat in such a way as to form a first seating area of the first seat. The person sitting in the first seat can sit on the first seating area with their buttocks, and thus on the first seating portion, with their buttocks supported downwards on the first seating portion along the vertical direction of the vehicle.
[0006] The bench seat has a second backrest portion that is pivotable relative to a first backrest portion between at least one seating position and at least one transport position, particularly about a pivot axis that extends, for example, along the vehicle's transverse direction in the bench seat's mounting position. At least in the seating position, the second backrest portion is arranged alongside the first backrest portion (backrest portion) along the vehicle's transverse direction. In particular, it is conceivable that the second backrest portion can pivot forward relative to the first backrest portion along the vehicle's longitudinal direction, particularly about the pivot axis, and thereby pivot from the seating position to the transport position, such that, for example, in the transport position, the second backrest portion folds or folds forward relative to the seating position along the vehicle's longitudinal direction. In other words, preferably, the second backrest portion can fold or fold forward about the pivot axis and along the vehicle's longitudinal direction, and thereby pivot from the seating position to the transport position about the pivot axis.
[0007] Possibly, in a first variant of the long seat, the long seat has exactly two seats arranged side-by-side along the vehicle's transverse direction in the installation position of the long seat, namely, a first seat and a second seat. In a first sub-variation of the first variant, for example, the second backrest is a second backrest provided in addition to the first backrest, which is coupled to the second seat and partially constitutes the second seat in such a way that the second backrest forms the second back area of the second seat as the second backrest. Here, a person sitting in the second seat can lean their back, especially along the vehicle's longitudinal direction, against the second back area in the seating position of the second backrest, and thus against the second backrest, and thereby supported on the second backrest, i.e., supported on the second backrest.
[0008] In a second sub-variant of the first variant, which differs from the first sub-variant, the backrest has a third backrest portion, which is the second backrest portion, in addition to the first backrest portion and the second backrest portion. Here, the second backrest portion is pivotable between a transport position and a seating position relative to the first backrest portion and relative to the third backrest portion—particularly about the pivot axis. Here, the third backrest portion is configured as the second backrest portion with the second seat, wherein the third backrest portion partially constitutes the second seat in such a way that it forms a second back area, as described above, allowing the person sitting in the second seat to lean their back, particularly along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, against and thus supported on, i.e., against, the second backrest portion, i.e., against and thus supported on, i.e. against, the third backrest portion. In the second sub-variant, it is particularly possible that, at least in the seating position, the second backrest portion is arranged between the first and third backrest portions along the transverse direction of the vehicle.
[0009] In a second variant of the long seat, which differs from the first variant and therefore from the first and second sub-variants, the long seat has at least or exactly three seats arranged side-by-side in the transverse direction of the vehicle in the installation position of the long seat, namely, a first seat, a second seat, and a third seat. Not only in the first variant (and therefore in the first and second sub-variants) but also in the second variant, the first backrest portion and preferably the first seating portion are configured with the first seat as described above, such that the first backrest portion and the first seating portion each partially constitute the first seat.
[0010] In the second variant, the second backrest portion is a second backrest portion, which is configured with the second seat and partially constitutes the second seat in such a way as to form the second back area of the second seat as the second backrest portion. A person sitting in the second seat can lean their back, particularly along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, against the second back area in the seating position of the second backrest portion, and thus against the second backrest portion. Here, the backrest has a third backrest portion provided in addition to the first backrest portion (first backrest portion) and in addition to the second backrest portion (second backrest portion), which is the third backrest portion of the backrest. The third backrest portion is configured with the third seat as the third backrest portion and partially constitutes the third seat in such a way as to form the third back area of the third seat as the third backrest portion. The person sitting in the third seat can lean their back, especially along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, against, and thus against, the third backrest area, and thereby against, and thus against, the third backrest portion. In particular, this second backrest portion is arranged, at least in the seated position, between the first and third backrest portions along the transverse direction of the vehicle. Specifically, this second backrest portion is pivotable about the pivot axis relative to both the first and third backrest portions.
[0011] In the first variant (and therefore in the first sub-variant and the second sub-variant) and in the third variant, for example, the bench seat has a second seating portion configured to correspond with the second seat. This second seating portion constitutes the second seat in such a way as to form a second seating area of the second seat. A person sitting in the second seat can sit on the second seating area with their buttocks, and thus on the second seating portion, such that the person sitting in the second seat can support their buttocks downward along the vehicle's vertical direction on the second seating area and thus on the second seating portion. For example, in the second variant, the third seat is provided with a third seating portion, which constitutes the third seat in such a way as to form a third seating area of the third seat. Here, a person sitting in the third seat can sit on the third seating area with their buttocks, i.e., on the third seating portion, such that the person sitting in the third seat can support their buttocks downward along the vehicle's vertical direction on the third seating area, i.e., on the third seating portion.
[0012] It is conceivable that the vehicle has at least or exactly three rows of seats arranged sequentially and thus front-to-back along the vehicle's longitudinal direction, namely a first row, a second row, and a third row. The second row of seats is rearwardly adjacent to the first row of seats along the vehicle's longitudinal direction and is therefore positioned behind the first row of seats along the vehicle's longitudinal direction. The third row of seats is rearwardly adjacent to the first and second rows of seats along the vehicle's longitudinal direction and is therefore positioned behind both the first and second rows of seats along the vehicle's longitudinal direction, such that the second row of seats is positioned between the first and third rows of seats along the vehicle's longitudinal direction. Here, the second row of seats is or includes the aforementioned long seats, which are therefore, for example, rear long seats. During vehicle operation, occupants (e.g., the driver) can remain in the vehicle's interior space.
[0013] For example, in the fully manufactured state of the vehicle, a luggage compartment (also called a trunk) is adjacent to the rear of the long seats along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and goods (such as travel luggage) can be transported in the luggage compartment. For example, the luggage compartment is at least partially and preferably directly defined in the seating position of the second backrest in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle—especially at least or only—by the rear backrest, which points rearward in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle in the seating position. Since, for example, the second backrest is folded or flipped forward in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle relative to the seating position in the transport position, the rear backrest points upward in the vertical direction of the vehicle in the transport position. Therefore, for example, in the transport position, a through-loading structure, also known as a through-loading feasible structure, is provided, by means of which long items, such as skis, can also be transported. Therefore, it is possible that in the transport position of the second leaning part, a very long item extends partially inside the luggage compartment and extends forward from the luggage compartment along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, at least across a portion of the rear, and is thus partially arranged on the rear of the second leaning part in the transport position, so that such a long item can also be transported in the vehicle.
[0014] Furthermore, the bench has a locking device by means of which the second backrest portion can be locked relative to the first backrest portion in the seated position, and in particular locked to the first backrest portion. This means that when the second backrest portion is locked relative to the first backrest portion in the seated position by means of the locking device, and is completely and particularly locked to the first backrest portion, the locking device prevents the second backrest portion from moving (especially undesirably) relative to the first backrest portion from the seated position to the transport position.
[0015] In particular, the second reclining portion is pivotable between the transport position and the seated position, especially about the pivot axis relative to the first reclining portion and also relative to the third reclining portion.
[0016] The locking device has a first locking element disposed on the first resting portion, which is, for example, a pin or also referred to as a pin. The pin is also referred to as a stop pin or locking pin. In addition, the locking device has a second locking element disposed on the second resting portion and thus movable together with the second resting portion relative to the first resting portion and, in particular, relative to the first locking element, between the sitting position and the transport position.
[0017] The second locking element is configured to cooperate with the first locking element in the seated position of the second backrest portion—particularly in a form-locking manner—thereby locking or locking the second backrest portion relative to the first backrest portion in the seated position. In other words, in the seated position, the second locking element can—particularly in a form-locking manner—cooperate with the first locking element, or in the seated position, the second locking element—particularly in a form-locking manner—cooperates with the first locking element, thereby locking or locking the second backrest portion relative to the first backrest portion in the seated position.
[0018] To achieve the particularly advantageous usability of the long seat and therefore the vehicle as a whole, according to the invention, a first locking element is held on the first backrest relative to the first reclining portion and, for example, also relative to the second backrest portion, movable from the locked position, and in particular, pivotally held on the first backrest portion to a stowed position. In the locked position, the first locking element, particularly in the long seat mounting position, protrudes further away from the first backrest portion in the vehicle's lateral direction than in the stowed position. For example, the first locking element is movable from the first backrest portion and, for example, also relative to the second backrest portion, between the stowed position and the locked position, and in particular, pivotally held on the first backrest portion. Thus, for example, when the second backrest portion is in the transport position, the first locking element can move from the locked position relative to the first backrest portion and preferably also relative to the second backrest portion, and in particular, pivot to the stowed position. Specifically, for example, when the second backrest portion is in the transport position, the first locking element can move from the first backrest portion and preferably also relative to the second backrest portion, and in particular, pivot between the stowed position and the locked position. For example, it can be specified that: a first locking element extends into an operating area in the locked position, in which a second locking element, in the seated position of the second backrest—especially in a form-locking manner—acts or can act with the first locking element to thereby lock (i.e., lock) the second backrest relative to the first backrest in the seated position, wherein, for example, this operating area is arranged next to the first backrest in the vehicle lateral direction in the installation position of the long seat, especially when viewed towards the third backrest. Thus, for example, in the locked position, at least one sub-region of the first locking element is arranged in the operating area. It is preferred here that: in the retracted position, the sub-region of the first locking element—especially completely—is arranged outside the operating area. Especially, it is specified that: in the retracted position, the entire first locking element is arranged outside the operating area. Especially, it is specified that: in the retracted position, the first locking element protruding from the first backrest in the vehicle lateral direction, for example towards the third backrest, is prevented, and thus it is preferred that: in the retracted position, the first locking element does not protrude from the first backrest in the vehicle lateral direction. In the locked position, the second locking element can be moved into a cooperative action with the first locking element—especially a form-locking action—by moving the second backing portion from the transport position to the seating position. Specifically, it is specified that the first locking element is movable from the locked position to the storage position, especially movably held on the first backing portion between the locked and storage positions, while completely bypassing the second backing portion, so that, for example, the second backing portion can pivot relative to the first backing portion and relative to the first locking element between the transport and seating positions, while the first locking element is selectively in the locked or storage position, and especially movement of the first locking element is prevented.
[0019] The first locking element is provided with an elastic element, also referred to as the first elastic element. Unless otherwise stated, the elastic element referred to above and below is understood to be the first elastic element. Most preferably, the first elastic element is constructed as a solid, and therefore as a mechanical spring. This elastic element provides, at least in the locked position of the first locking element, at least indirectly—and especially directly—a spring force acting on the first locking element, also referred to as the first spring force. Unless otherwise stated, the spring force referred to above and below is understood to be the first spring force. By means of this spring force, the first locking element can move from the locked position, especially pivoting, to the retracted position.
[0020] According to the invention, a safety element, particularly in addition to the first locking element, is also provided. This safety element, based on its inertia (also simply referred to as moment of inertia), can move from a safety position in the locked position, where the first locking element is locked against spring force, to a release position, particularly pivoting, when the vehicle decelerates at least along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, or for example, due to an accident. This release position allows, i.e., releases, the movement of the first locking element from the locked position to the retracted position caused by spring force. In other words, in the safety position, the safety element prevents the movement of the first locking element from the locked position to the retracted position caused by spring force by means of the safety element—particularly by form-fitting—locking the first locking element against spring force, i.e., holding it in the locked position. However, in the release position, the safety element releases the movement of the first locking element from the locked position to the retracted position caused by spring force. In other words, the safety element in the release position allows the movement of the first locking element from the locked position to the retracted position caused by spring force. Here, the safety element can—especially and only—move from the secured position to the released position based on its inertia through the aforementioned deceleration occurring at least or only along the vehicle's longitudinal direction. It should be understood here, in particular, that the aforementioned deceleration is, for example, an acceleration—especially a negative acceleration—occurring at least or only along the vehicle's longitudinal direction for the vehicle and therefore the safety element, which causes the vehicle to decelerate along the vehicle's longitudinal direction. This means that, through this acceleration (i.e., through this deceleration), the vehicle's forward velocity along the vehicle's longitudinal direction is at least reduced or eliminated (i.e., reduced to zero), which, based on the safety element's inertia, moves the safety element from the secured position to the released position. The aforementioned deceleration (i.e., the aforementioned acceleration) can, for example, be caused by an accident, specifically an accident also known as a collision, in which the vehicle, for example, collides along the vehicle's longitudinal direction with an object positioned in front of and outside the vehicle along the vehicle's longitudinal direction. The acceleration is, for example, at least or exactly 2g. For example, the acceleration is greater than 2g. For example, the acceleration is exactly 3g or greater than 3g. In other words, it is preferably specified that the seat is constructed, particularly in terms of the inertia of the safety element, such that the safety element, based on its inertia, moves from the safety position to the release position only, preferably only, when the aforementioned deceleration (or acceleration) exceeds a threshold greater than zero, wherein this threshold is entirely preferably—especially at least—2g. Most preferably, this threshold is greater than 2g. Most preferably, this threshold is—especially at least—3g. This avoids undesirable movement of the safety element from the safety position to the release position, for example, caused by vehicle braking, and ensures that the safety element, based on its inertia, moves from the safety position to the release position only, preferably only, when an accident occurs that causes the acceleration (or its value) acting on the vehicle and therefore the safety element to exceed the threshold.
[0021] In the locked position, the first locking element securely and firmly locks the second backrest portion in the seated position. When the first locking element is in the retracted position, such that it does not protrude too far from the first backrest portion, particularly in the lateral direction of the vehicle, compared to the locked position, especially during the transport position of the second backrest portion, a particularly high level of vehicle safety is achieved. This is because, for example, it prevents contact between the first locking element and occupants in or on the third seat row due to displacement caused, for example, by an accident and particularly by the aforementioned acceleration, moving forward in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and thus towards the second seat row. Therefore, the present invention achieves a particularly high level of safety and thus a particularly advantageous usability for long seats, more specifically, in a manner suitable for structural space, weight, and cost, because, for example, it avoids the use of additional drive elements and / or actuators to move the safety element from the locked position to the released position and the locking element from the locked position to the retracted position.
[0022] Because the safety element—especially solely—moves from the safety position to the release position by its own inertia and thus—especially solely—(especially when acceleration exceeds a threshold), and because the first locking element—especially solely—moves from the locked position or is movable to the retracted position by means of elasticity, the use of additional, space-consuming, weight- and cost-increasing actuators and / or connecting elements to move the first locking element and the safety element can be avoided. This allows for a particularly high level of safety and a particularly high level of advantageous usability of the long seat in a space-appropriate, weight-appropriate, and cost-appropriate manner. Unless otherwise specified, the locking element referred to above and below should be understood as the first locking element.
[0023] To achieve exceptional usability of the long seat in a manner that is particularly suitable in terms of structural space, weight, and cost, one embodiment of the invention specifies that the long seat—also referred to as a seating device—especially the entire vehicle, does not have a mechanically forced coupling device that mechanically (i.e., by solid, liquid, or gas) couples a first locking element to a second backrest such that movement of the second backrest from a sitting position to a transport position causes movement of the first locking element from a locked position to a stored position. This allows the number of parts, weight, and cost of the long seat to remain particularly low, and the first locking element can be moved from the locked position to the stored position when needed (especially in the event of an accident). Thus, complex, costly, and space-consuming mechanically forced coupling devices are avoided, where movement of the second backrest between a transport position and a sitting position causes movement of the first locking element between a locked position and a stored position.
[0024] Another embodiment is characterized in that the first locking element is pivotable about a first pivot axis relative to the first abutment portion from a locked position and thereby moves to a retracted position, particularly pivoting and moving between the locked and retracted positions, and especially remaining on the first abutment portion. Here, the safety element is pivotable about a second pivot axis that extends obliquely or perpendicularly to the first pivot axis—particularly relative to the first abutment portion—from a safe position and thereby moves to a released position. This allows for particularly simple movement or mobility of the first locking element and the safety element. The feature of "pivot axes that extend obliquely or perpendicularly to each other" should be understood as follows: the first pivot axis extends along an imaginary first straight line and is perpendicular to an imaginary first axial plane. The second pivot axis extends along an imaginary second straight line and is perpendicular to an imaginary second axial plane. The axial planes are obliquely or perpendicularly to each other.
[0025] To achieve the particularly advantageous usability of the long seat, another embodiment of the invention specifies that the safety element is provided with a second elastic element. Preferably, the second elastic element is constructed as a solid and thus as a mechanical spring. The second elastic element provides, at least in the safety position, a second elastic force acting on the safety element at least indirectly, and especially directly, by means of which the safety element is held or can be held in the safety position. This means that the second elastic force resists or opposes the movement of the safety element from the safety position to the release position, such that, for example, by the movement of the safety element from the safety position to the release position or when the safety element moves from the safety position to the release position, the second elastic element can be further loaded, especially stretched or compressed, and / or the second elastic force can be increased. This, for example, prevents the safety element from undesirably moving from the safety position to the release position based on its inertia when the motor vehicle experiences a first deceleration or first acceleration (which is less than or equal to the aforementioned threshold). In particular, this allows for the design or pre-setting of elastic elements such that the safety element—especially solely—based on its inertia and therefore—especially purely—moves from the safety position to the release position only when a second acceleration or deceleration of the motor vehicle, which is greater than the corresponding first deceleration or first acceleration, exceeds a threshold. The feature of "acceleration exceeding the threshold" should be understood in particular as: the acceleration, referred to as an absolute value or the absolute value of the value, exceeds, for example, a threshold that is greater than zero and therefore positive.
[0026] To achieve exceptionally high safety and particularly advantageous usability for the long bench, a further improvement to the invention includes a blocking element, preferably solid and entirely rigid in construction, which, in addition to the safety element and the first locking element, prevents or can prevent the first locking element, which is in the retracted position, from moving from the retracted position to the locked position. This, for example, prevents the first locking element from unintentionally moving from the retracted position to the locked position after it has moved from the locked position to the retracted position by means of elasticity.
[0027] In another particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is specified that the movement of the first locking element in the retracted position from the retracted position to the locked position is prevented by means of a blocking element—especially in a form-locking manner—in a blocking direction opposite to the direction of movement along which the first locking element can move from the locked position to the retracted position. This reliably prevents the first locking element in the retracted position from unintended movement to the locked position, thereby achieving a particularly high level of security. In particular, the direction of movement is or includes a movement path along which the first locking element can move from the locked position to the retracted position. Here, the blocking direction coincides with the movement path, and / or the blocking direction is or includes a blocking path that coincides with the movement path. In particular, the movement path may be curved, especially circular.
[0028] In another particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the blocking element is movable relative to the first locking element in the retracted position and relative to the first abutment portion between at least one blocking position and at least one releasing position. In the blocking position, movement of the first locking element in the retracted position from the retracted position to the locked position is prevented by the blocking element. In the releasing position, the blocking element releases movement of the first locking element in the retracted position from the retracted position to the locked position. This allows the first locking element to be blocked as needed, and is particularly advantageous in this respect.
[0029] Another embodiment is characterized in that the blocking element is movable relative to the first locking element between a blocking position and a releasing position along—especially along a straight line—an axis of motion, i.e., a translational movement. This provides a particularly advantageous lock for the first locking element in the retracted position, thereby achieving a particularly high level of security.
[0030] In order to advantageously allow movement of the first locking element from the locked position to the retracted position, and in particular to prevent the first locking element from undesirably moving from the retracted position to the locked position, a further improvement of the invention specifies that the blocking element, in particular its free end, has an operating surface extending in an imaginary plane inclined relative to the axis of motion. The first locking element, as it moves from the locked position to the retracted position—in particular directly—slides over this operating surface, thereby pushing the blocking element from the blocking position to the released position along the axis of motion.
[0031] The second aspect of the invention relates to a vehicle preferably configured as a motor vehicle, and more preferably as an automobile, particularly a passenger car, wherein at least one long seat according to the first aspect of the invention is arranged in the interior space of the vehicle. The advantages and advantageous designs of the first aspect of the invention should be considered as advantages and advantageous designs of the second aspect of the invention, and vice versa. [0037] In each figure, elements that are the same or have the same function are given the same reference numerals.
[0038] Figure 1 The long seat 1 of the vehicle is shown in a schematic rear view, wherein the long seat 1 is in Figure 2 Partially shown in another schematic rear view. The long seat 1 has at least or exactly two seats, namely a first seat P1 and a second seat P2. Seats P1 and P2 are arranged side by side in the vehicle's transverse direction in the mounting position of the long seat 1. Figure 1 The installation position of the long seat 1 is shown, which occupies its installation position in the fully manufactured state of the vehicle having the long seat 1. The lateral direction of the vehicle is indicated by double arrows 2. The long seat 1 has a backrest 3, which has a first backrest portion 4 that is coupled to the first seat P1. As will be further described in detail below, the first backrest portion 4 is the first backrest portion. The backrest 3 has a second backrest portion 5, which is currently the second backrest portion. The backrest portion 4 is coupled to the first seat P1 and partially constitutes the first seat P1 in such a way as to form a first back area of the first seat P1. The backrest portion 5, as the second backrest portion, is coupled to the second seat P2 and partially constitutes the second seat P2 in such a way as to form a second back area of the second seat P2.
[0039] The long seat 1 has a first seating portion 6 and a second seating portion 7. The seating portion 6 is configured with seat P1 and forms part of seat P1 in such a way that it creates a first seating area. The seating portion 7 is configured with seat P2 and forms part of seat P2 in such a way that it creates a second seating area. A person sitting in seat P1 can lean their back against a backrest portion 4 along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and is thus supported on the backrest portion 4. Furthermore, a person sitting in seat P1 can support their buttocks downwards on the seating portion 6 along the vertical direction of the vehicle. The vertical direction of the vehicle is indicated by a double arrow 8. Figure 1 The longitudinal direction of the vehicle is indicated by double arrow 9 in the plan view and extends perpendicular to the lateral direction of the vehicle. Figure 1 The plane of the diagram extends, and thus extends perpendicular to the vertical direction of the vehicle and perpendicular to the lateral direction of the vehicle. A person sitting in seat P2 can lean their back against the backrest 5 along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and be supported thereon; and in addition, a person sitting in seat P2 can also support their buttocks downward along the vertical direction of the vehicle on the seating part 7.
[0040] The reclining portion 5, about a pivot axis SA extending laterally along the vehicle, can be positioned relative to the reclining portion 4 and also relative to the seating portions 6 and 7 in a transport position not shown in the figure. Figure 1 and Figure 2 The seated position ST is pivoted between the two positions shown in the figure. By pivoting the backrest 5 from the seated position ST to the transport position, the backrest 5 pivots forward in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and is thus folded or flipped, i.e. folded toward the seated position 7 and thus folded onto the seated position 7.
[0041] Combination Figures 1 to 3 It is particularly clear that the bench 1 has a locking device 10 by means of which the backrest 5 can be locked, i.e. fixed and thus locked, in the seated position ST relative to the backrest 4, and in particular locked, i.e. fixed and thus locked to the backrest 4. For this purpose, the locking device 10 has a lock 12 arranged on the backrest 5 and thus pivotable together with the backrest 5 relative to the backrest 4 and relative to the locking element 11, the lock having a latch 13 (Schlossfalle). The latch 13 is a fork-shaped latch. The latch 13 is the second locking element of the locking device 10. The second locking element (latch 13) is configured to cooperate with the first locking element 11 in a form-locking manner in the seated position ST, thereby locking or being locked relative to the backrest 4 in the seated position ST, and in particular locking or being locked to the backrest 4.
[0042] In order to now realize the particularly advantageous use or availability of the long seat 1 in a particularly advantageous manner, the first locking element 11 is in the locked position VS relative to the first reclining portion 4. Figure 4 It is movable, especially pivotable to a storage position (VST). Figure 4 The first locking element 11 is held on the first backrest portion 4, for example, movable, and particularly pivotally held on the first backrest portion 4 between the locked position VS and the retracted position VST. In the embodiment shown in the figure, the first locking element 11 is pivotally held on the backrest portion 4 relative to the backrest portion 4 about the second pivot axis SA2 from the locked position VS to the retracted position VST, and particularly pivotally held on the backrest portion 4 between the locked position VS and the retracted position VST. In the locked position VS, the first locking element 11 is further away from the first backrest portion 4 in the vehicle lateral direction in the mounting position of the long seat 1 than in the retracted position VST, particularly such that in the seated position ST of the backrest portion 5 and in the locked position VS, the locking element 11 extends into an operating area in the vehicle lateral direction, such that in the seated position ST of the second backrest portion 5 and in the locked position VS of the locking element 11, at least one sub-region TB of the locking element 11 is arranged in the operating area designated WB. In the seated position ST, the locking element 11, in the locked position VS, interacts with the second locking element (latch 13) in a form-locking manner within the operating area WB, thereby locking the backrest portion 5 in the seated position ST, particularly in a form-locking manner. In the stowage position VST, at least this sub-area TB—particularly completely—is arranged outside the operating area WB. In the locked position VS, the second locking element can be engaged with the first locking element 11—particularly in a form-locking manner—by moving the second backrest portion 5 from the transport position to the seated position ST.
[0043] The long seat 1, and especially the entire vehicle, does not have a mechanically forced coupling device that mechanically couples the first locking element 11 to the second backrest 5 in such a way that the movement of the second backrest 5 from the seated position ST to the transport position causes the first locking element 11 to move from the locked position VS to the storage position VST.
[0044] The first locking element 11 is disposed in Figure 4A first elastic element 14 is schematically shown, which provides at least an indirect first elastic force acting on the first locking element 11, at least in the locked position VS, by means of which the first elastic force moves the first locking element 11 from the locked position VS to the retracted position VST. Furthermore, a safety element 15 is provided, which is currently constructed as a lever. Therefore, the safety element 15 is also referred to as a safety lever. Based on its inertia, the safety element 15 can move from the safety position SST, which locks the first locking element 11 against the first elastic force in the locked position VS, to a release position, allowing movement of the first locking element 11 from the locked position VS to the retracted position VST, caused or potentially caused by the first elastic force, when the vehicle and therefore the safety element 15 decelerate at least along the vehicle's longitudinal direction. Figure 3 Arrow 16 indicates the direction of travel, also known as the forward direction or direction of movement, along which the vehicle travels or may travel forward in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, particularly at a certain speed. The aforementioned deceleration is or includes an acceleration that acts on the vehicle and therefore also on the safety element 15 when the vehicle's initial speed traveling forward in the longitudinal direction is reduced and, for example, reduced to zero. This acceleration and therefore this deceleration are caused, for example, by a vehicle accident, such as when the vehicle's front end strikes an obstacle located in front of and outside the vehicle in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. This—especially sudden and therefore strong—deceleration or acceleration causes the safety element 15—especially solely—based on its inertia and therefore—especially only—to move on its own from the safety position SST relative to the resting parts 4 and 5 to the release position, especially at least or only when the resting part 5 is in the transport position. In the released position, the elastic element 14 can be at least partially relaxed, thereby moving the locking element 11 from the locked position VS to the retracted position VST, i.e., currently pivoting about the pivot axis SA2 relative to the resting portions 4 and 5.
[0045] Preferably, the safety element 15 is held on the abutment 4 movable from the safety position SST, especially pivotable to the release position, particularly when it is completely bypassed from the abutment 5.
[0046] In the embodiment shown in the figure, the safety element 15 is pivotally held on the support portion 4 relative to the rest portions 4 and 5 from the safety position SST about the third pivot axis SA3, wherein the pivot axes SA2 and SA3 extend at an angle or perpendicular to each other. In the mounting position of the long seat 1, the pivot axis SA3 currently extends along the vehicle's lateral direction, i.e., parallel to the vehicle's lateral direction. The pivot axis SA2 extends, for example, along the vehicle's longitudinal direction, i.e., parallel to the vehicle's longitudinal direction.
[0047] Fuse 15 is equipped with Figure 3 The second elastic element 17, schematically shown in the diagram, provides, at least indirectly, a second elastic force, indicated by arrow 18, acting on the safety element 15 in the safety position SST, by which the safety element 15 is held or can be held in the safety position SST. It can be seen that the second elastic force resists or opposes movement of the safety element 15 from the safety position SST to the release position. This prevents the safety element 15 from unintendedly moving from the safety position SST to the release position, and, for example (especially continuously), remains in the safety position SST as long as the aforementioned deceleration or acceleration is less than or equal to a threshold. In particular, it ensures that the safety element 15, based on its inertia, moves (especially completely) spontaneously from the safety position SST to the release position only when the aforementioned deceleration or acceleration exceeds the threshold, for example due to an accident. This can be correspondingly set by the second elastic force and the mass of the safety element 15.
[0048] In the embodiment shown in the figure, a blocking element 19 is provided, in addition to the safety element 15 and the locking element 11. This blocking element prevents or can prevent the movement of the first locking element 11 in the storage position VST from the storage position VST to the locking position VS. The movement of the first locking element 11 in the storage position VST from the storage position VST to the locking position VS is prevented or can be prevented by the blocking element 19 in such a way that the first locking element 11 in the storage position VST is at least partially covered by the blocking element 19 in the blocking direction, indicated by arrow 20, which is opposite to the direction of movement, along which the first locking element 11 can move from the locking position VS to the storage position VST.
[0049] In the embodiment shown in the figure, the blocking element 19 is a slider that is movable along the motion axis B relative to the first locking element 11 in the retracted position VST and also relative to the resting portions 4 and 5. In particular, the blocking element 19 is movably held on the resting portion 4 along the motion axis B, especially when it is completely bypassed from the resting portion 5. Along the motion axis B, the blocking element 19 is movable between a blocking position BS and a released position relative to the locking element 11 and also relative to the resting portion 4. In the blocking position BS, the movement of the first locking element 11 in the retracted position VST from the retracted position VST to the locked position VS is blocked by the blocking element 19. In the released position, the blocking element 19 releases the movement of the first locking element 11 initially in the retracted position VST from the retracted position VST to the locked position VS.
[0050] The blocking element 19 has an operating surface FL at its free end E, which extends in an imaginary plane that is inclined relative to the axis of motion B. The locking element 11 slides directly over the operating surface FL as it moves from the locked position VS to the retracted position VST, thereby pushing the blocking element 19 from the blocking position BS along the axis of motion B to the released position.
[0051] The blocking element 19 is equipped with a third elastic element 21, which is constructed as a solid and thus as a mechanical spring. At least in the released position, the elastic element 21 provides, at least indirectly—and especially directly—a third elastic force acting on the blocking element 19, by means of which the blocking element 19 can move along the axis of motion B from the released position and thereby to the blocking position BS. Therefore, the blocking element 19 can move from the blocking position BS to the released position against the third elastic force.
[0052] As it moves from the locked position VS to the retracted position VST, the first locking element 11 slides across the operating surface FL until it reaches the retracted position VST (particularly fully). By allowing the locking element to slide across the operating surface, or as the locking element 11 slides across the operating surface FL, the blocking element 19 is moved from the blocking position BS to the released position, and is particularly prevented from returning to the blocking position BS. However, when the locking element reaches the retracted position, or by allowing the locking element 11 to reach the retracted position VST, the locking element 11 allows the resilient element 21 to relax at least partially, thereby allowing the blocking element 19 to be pushed from the released position to the blocking position BS by means of a third elastic force and thus by means of the resilient element 21.
[0053] For example, in order to enable the locking element 11 to move in the reverse direction, i.e., from the retracted position VST, and especially to the locked position VS, for example—especially by a person—the blocking element 19 is pushed from the blocking position BS to the release position against a third spring force. Subsequently, for example, while the blocking element 19 is in the release position, the locking element 11 can be moved from the retracted position VST, and especially to the locked position VS, against a first spring force. After the locking element 11 reaches the locked position VS and is in the locked position VS, the locking element 11 can—especially again—be locked by means of the safety element 15, especially to prevent movement (especially movement back) to the retracted position VST.
