Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] This invention relates to the field of automated assembly equipment for laptop connectors, and more particularly to an automated assembly and labeling device and method for laptop RJ45 sockets. Background Technology
[0002] The RJ45 connector is a core connector component in laptops used for network cable connection. This product is assembled from a metal plate and a plastic body. After assembly, a barcode label needs to be affixed to the product surface for traceability scanning. Current production methods mostly rely on manual assembly of the metal plate and plastic body, followed by manual labeling and barcode scanning. Manual assembly suffers from inconsistent assembly force and poor uniformity; large deviations in label placement; low efficiency in manual barcode scanning; and high labor intensity, making it difficult to meet the requirements of large-scale laptop connector production. Existing automated equipment suffers from unreasonable structural layouts, poorly designed clamping and pushing mechanisms, and cylinder piston rods prone to damage from prolonged radial loads; simple label peeling mechanisms are prone to release paper deviation; and the lack of visual alignment correction results in a high assembly defect rate. Therefore, there is an urgent need for a highly automated, well-structured, and precise automatic assembly and labeling machine for laptop RJ45 connectors. Summary of the Invention

[0007] Furthermore, each of the dual vacuum nozzle assemblies includes two independent nozzle units, each nozzle unit is equipped with a corrugated vacuum nozzle, and the dual vacuum nozzle assembly is externally connected to a vacuum generator.
[0008] Furthermore, the parallel opening and closing pneumatic gripper cylinder is equipped with a pair of gripping heads that can open and close synchronously in opposite directions.

[0011] This invention also discloses an automatic assembly and labeling method for a laptop RJ45 socket, applied to the aforementioned automatic assembly and labeling equipment for laptop RJ45 sockets, comprising the following steps: S1. Manually place the RJ45 socket metal piece into the positioning groove of the RJ45 socket metal piece carrier, and place the RJ45 socket plastic body onto the positioning boss of the RJ45 socket plastic body carrier. S2. The robot picks up the RJ45 socket metal piece through the dual vacuum nozzle assembly, moves it to the intelligent vision camera module to take a picture, and then transfers the RJ45 socket metal piece to the workstation base of the workpiece assembly mechanism. S3. The lateral clamping cylinder drives the vertical clamping cylinder and the pressure block to feed into place. The vertical clamping cylinder drives the pressure block downward to vertically clamp and fix the RJ45 socket iron plate in the workstation base. S4. The robot uses a parallel opening and closing pneumatic gripper cylinder to hold the RJ45 socket plastic body, moves it to the intelligent vision camera module to take a picture, and then aligns the RJ45 socket plastic body on the workstation base and inserts it into the assembly slot of the RJ45 socket iron plate. S5. The push-pressing cylinder extends, drives the push block to slide along the linear guide rail, and pushes the RJ45 socket plastic body laterally into the assembly slot of the RJ45 socket iron piece, so that the RJ45 socket iron piece and the RJ45 socket plastic body are mechanically snapped together and assembled into an integrated socket product. S6. The robot moves to the barcode label peeling mechanism, picks up the barcode label through the dual vacuum nozzle assembly, and attaches the barcode label to the surface of the one-piece socket finished product which is in a pressed and fixed state. S7. The robot drives an industrial barcode reader to scan and collect data from the attached barcode labels. S8. After the scanning and collection are completed, the push pressing cylinder is reset, which drives the push block to retract along the linear guide rail to make room; the vertical pressing cylinder is reset and the pressing block is raised; the lateral clamping cylinder retracts, which drives the vertical pressing cylinder and the pressing block to make room laterally. S9. The robot uses a dual vacuum nozzle assembly to pick up the assembled socket and transfers it back into the empty positioning slot of the RJ45 socket metal carrier, completing a single assembly and labeling cycle.
[0012] 1. The present invention sets up two sets of symmetrical parallel workpiece assembly mechanisms, and the robot can alternately perform operations on the two sets of workstations, resulting in high equipment cycle utilization and improved overall production efficiency.
[0013] 2. The vertical clamping cylinder is mounted on the movable output part of the lateral clamping cylinder. It first feeds laterally into place and then clamps the workpiece downward. After the operation is completed, the pushing and pressing cylinder drives the push block to retract and make room, then the pressing block is raised, and then the whole thing retracts laterally, leaving enough space for the robot to pick up and put down the workpiece. The action logic of the clamping mechanism is reasonable.
[0014] 3. The push-press cylinder body is directly fixed to the side of the workstation base. The push load is borne by the push block, which is slidably mounted on the linear guide rail. The linear guide rail bears most of the push load, and the cylinder piston rod only transmits the driving force, avoiding damage caused by the radial force on the piston rod and extending the service life of the cylinder. After assembly, the push-press cylinder drives the push block to retract, avoiding the push block interfering with the robot's part picking action.
[0015] 4. The robot head is equipped with an industrial barcode reader, and the robot end integrates a dual vacuum suction nozzle assembly and a parallel opening and closing pneumatic gripper cylinder. One robot can complete multiple actions such as picking up iron sheets, holding plastic bodies, picking up and attaching labels, unloading finished products, and scanning barcodes, reducing the number of actuators and simplifying the overall structure.
[0016] 5. Equipped with an intelligent vision camera module, the metal sheet and plastic body are grasped and then visually photographed for positioning, compensating for positional deviations and improving assembly alignment accuracy.
[0017] 6. The peeling plate is equipped with a triangular peeling blade that works in conjunction with small suction holes on the plate surface. The negative pressure suction fixes the release paper, and the label is stably peeled off at the sharp corner position, ensuring that the robot's suction nozzle can reliably pick up the label and that the labeling position is highly accurate.
[0018] 7. The entire set of equipment automates workpiece loading, visual positioning, assembly and pressing, material peeling and labeling, barcode scanning, and finished product unloading, replacing manual labor, reducing labor costs, and ensuring good product consistency. [0022] This application uses color-rendered drawings. Detailed Implementation
[0023] The technical solution of the present invention will now be clearly and completely described with reference to the accompanying drawings. Obviously, the described embodiments are only some, not all, of the embodiments of the present invention. Based on the embodiments of the present invention, all other embodiments obtained by those skilled in the art without creative effort are within the scope of protection of the present invention.
[0024] like Figure 1-11 As shown, this invention discloses an automatic assembly and labeling device for a laptop RJ45 socket, including a frame 1, a barcode label peeling mechanism 2, a robot 3, an RJ45 socket metal carrier 4, an RJ45 socket plastic body carrier 5, an intelligent vision camera module 6, an industrial barcode reader 7, a control unit 8, and two sets of workpiece assembly mechanisms 9.
[0025] The frame 1 serves as the mounting base for the entire machine, and all functional mechanisms are mounted on the frame 1; the control unit 8 is the PLC control system for the entire machine, which uniformly controls the coordinated actions of the robot 3, each cylinder, vacuum generator, vision camera, and industrial barcode reader 7.
[0026] The RJ45 socket metal carrier 4 has several positioning grooves 41 machined in an array. The positioning grooves 41 are used to limit the placement of the RJ45 socket metal. The RJ45 socket plastic body carrier 5 has several positioning bosses 51 arranged in an array. The RJ45 socket plastic body is fitted onto the positioning bosses 51 to achieve pre-positioning.
[0027] Robot 3 is a multi-axis industrial robot. The output end of Robot 3 is equipped with an end-connecting plate 31. The end-connecting plate 31 integrates a rotary cylinder 32 and two sets of dual vacuum nozzle assemblies 33. The industrial barcode reader 7 is installed at the head of Robot 3. The output end of the rotary cylinder 32 is equipped with a parallel opening and closing pneumatic gripper cylinder 34.
[0028] Each dual vacuum nozzle assembly 33 contains two independent nozzle units. Each nozzle unit is equipped with a corrugated vacuum nozzle. The dual vacuum nozzle assembly 33 is connected to an external vacuum generator and relies on vacuum negative pressure to achieve adsorption and pickup of workpieces and labels. The corrugated nozzle has a certain ability to compensate for floating and adapt to the slight height difference on the workpiece surface.
[0029] The parallel opening and closing pneumatic gripper cylinder 34 has a pair of synchronously opening and closing gripping heads 35 for gripping the plastic body of the RJ45 socket.
[0030] The rotary cylinder 32 can drive the parallel opening and closing pneumatic gripper cylinder 34 and the synchronously opening and closing gripping head 35 provided on the parallel opening and closing pneumatic gripper cylinder 34 to rotate at an angle to meet the posture requirements of different work positions.
[0031] The industrial barcode reader 7 is fixed to the head of the robot 3 and moves with the robot 3 to scan and collect barcodes from the nearest barcode label.
[0032] The intelligent vision camera module 6 is fixedly installed on the frame 1 and includes a camera body 61 and a supplementary light source 62. The robot 3 grasps the iron sheet or plastic body and moves it above the camera body 61. The supplementary light source 62 provides supplementary light, and the camera body 61 takes pictures to obtain the actual position of the workpiece, providing position compensation to the robot 3, eliminating the position deviation caused by grasping, and ensuring the alignment accuracy of subsequent assembly.
[0033] Two sets of workpiece assembly mechanisms 9 are arranged symmetrically side by side, and the two sets of workstations can work alternately to improve the output efficiency of the equipment.
[0034] Each workpiece assembly mechanism 9 includes a workstation base 91, a lateral clamping cylinder 92, a vertical pressing cylinder 93, and a pushing and pressing cylinder 94.
[0035] The lateral clamping cylinder 92 is horizontally arranged on one side of the workstation base 91; the vertical pressing cylinder 93 is fixedly installed on the movable output component of the lateral clamping cylinder 92, and the output end of the vertical pressing cylinder 93 is connected to the pressing block 97, which is located above the workstation base 91.
[0036] During operation: The lateral clamping cylinder 92 extends, driving the vertical clamping cylinder 93 and the pressure block 97 to move laterally to the workpiece above the workstation base 91; then the vertical clamping cylinder 93 actuates, driving the pressure block 97 to press down on the RJ45 socket metal piece inside the workstation base 91, preventing the metal piece from shifting during assembly and pushing. After assembly, labeling, and barcode scanning are completed, the pushing and pressing cylinder 94 resets, driving the push block 95 to retract along the linear guide rail 96, eliminating the obstruction and interference of the push block 95 on the finished product; the vertical clamping cylinder 93 lifts the pressure block 97; then the lateral clamping cylinder 92 retracts, driving the vertical clamping cylinder 93 and the pressure block 97 to move laterally to make room, allowing the robot 3 to enter the workstation and remove the finished workpiece. The push-press cylinder 94 is directly and fixedly mounted on the side of the workstation base 91. The output end of the push-press cylinder 94 is connected to the push block 95. The push block 95 is slidably mounted on the linear guide rail 96, which is fixedly mounted on the side of the workstation base 91. During the pushing operation, the push-press cylinder 94 outputs driving force, and the push block 95 moves linearly back and forth along the linear guide rail 96. The push block 95 directly contacts the plastic body of the RJ45 socket, and the lateral pushing completes the pressing assembly.
[0037] The lateral load of the push is entirely borne by the linear guide rail 96. The cylinder piston rod only transmits axial thrust and is not subject to radial load, thus avoiding piston rod wear and damage and significantly improving cylinder service life. After assembly, the push pressing cylinder 94 drives the push block 95 back to its original position to prevent the push block 95 from protruding and interfering with the robot 3 in picking up the part.
[0038] The barcode label peeling mechanism 2 includes a mechanism back plate 21, a feeding tray 22, several guide rollers 23 and a peeling plate 24; the label roll is installed on the feeding tray 22, and the label roll is sequentially conveyed to the peeling plate 24 by each guide roller 23.
[0039] The material stripping plate 24 has a triangular-pointed stripping blade 241 at the discharge end; the surface of the material stripping plate 24 is provided with a number of small adsorption holes 242, which are connected to a negative pressure air source.
[0040] The label, along with the release liner, is laid flat on the peeling plate 24. Negative pressure adheres and fixes the release liner through the suction holes 242, preventing it from deviating from its intended path. The release liner travels along the plate surface to the triangular peeling edge 241, where it bends sharply. The barcode label itself is more rigid than the release liner and does not bend significantly with it. The barcode label and release liner separate at the triangular peeling edge 241. The robot 3 moves the dual vacuum nozzle assembly 33 to the triangular peeling edge 241, where the vacuum nozzles pick up the peeled barcode label, completing the label removal process.
[0041] This embodiment also discloses an automatic assembly and labeling method for a laptop RJ45 socket, the workflow of which is as follows: S1. Manually place the RJ45 socket metal piece into the positioning groove 41 of the RJ45 socket metal piece carrier 4, and place the RJ45 socket plastic body onto the positioning boss 51 of the RJ45 socket plastic body carrier 5; after the carrier is full, the equipment starts automatic circulation.
[0042] S2, Robot 3 moves to the RJ45 socket iron sheet carrier 4 and picks up the RJ45 socket iron sheet through the dual vacuum nozzle assembly 33; moves to the intelligent vision camera module 6 to take a picture, and the vision system calculates position compensation; Robot 3 transfers the RJ45 socket iron sheet to the workstation base 91 of the workpiece assembly mechanism 9.
[0043] S3. The lateral clamping cylinder 92 extends and feeds, driving the vertical clamping cylinder 93 and the pressure block 97 to move into place; the vertical clamping cylinder 93 drives the pressure block 97 downward to press the RJ45 socket iron piece in the workstation base 91, fixing the iron piece and preventing displacement during subsequent push assembly.
[0044] S4. Robot 3 moves to the position of RJ45 socket plastic body carrier 5, and the parallel opening and closing pneumatic gripper cylinder 34 clamps the RJ45 socket plastic body; moves to the intelligent vision camera module 6 to take pictures and obtain position compensation; Robot 3 aligns the RJ45 socket plastic body and places it on the workstation base 91, so that the plastic body is initially inserted into the RJ45 socket iron sheet assembly slot.
[0045] S5. The push-pressing cylinder 94 extends, driving the push block 95 to slide along the linear guide rail 96. The push block 95 laterally pushes the plastic body of the RJ45 socket, pushing the plastic body laterally into place along the iron plate assembly groove. The iron plate of the RJ45 socket and the plastic body are mechanically engaged to form an integrated socket product. The linear guide rail 96 bears the lateral load of the push and protects the piston rod of the push-pressing cylinder 94.
[0046] S6. Robot 3 moves to the barcode label peeling mechanism 2, and the dual vacuum nozzle assembly 33 moves to the position of the triangular peeling blade 241 on the peeling plate 24 to pick up the peeled barcode label. Robot 3 carries the label back to the workpiece assembly mechanism 9 and affixes the barcode label to the surface of the finished socket that is pressed and fixed by the pressure block 97. Labeling is performed while the workpiece is pressed and fixed, ensuring that the workpiece will not shift during labeling and guaranteeing the accuracy of the labeling position.
[0047] S7, Robot 3 drives the industrial barcode reader 7 on the machine head to the label position, performs barcode scanning on the affixed barcode label, and completes product information traceability entry.
[0048] S8. After scanning and data collection is completed, the push pressing cylinder 94 is reset, which drives the push block 95 to retract along the linear guide rail 96 to make way; the vertical pressing cylinder 93 is reset and the pressing block 97 is raised; the lateral clamping cylinder 92 retracts, which drives the vertical pressing cylinder 93 and the pressing block 97 to move laterally as a whole, so that the workstation is completely moved out of place.
[0049] S9 and Robot 3's dual vacuum nozzle assembly 33 adsorb the assembled socket product, transfer the product back to the empty positioning slot on the RJ45 socket metal carrier 4, and complete one complete assembly and labeling cycle. The two sets of workpiece assembly mechanisms 9 alternately cycle to continuously produce finished products.
[0050] The above are merely preferred embodiments of the present invention and are not intended to limit the present invention; any modifications, equivalent substitutions, or improvements made within the spirit and principles of the present invention should be included within the scope of protection of the present invention.
