Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] This invention relates to a dual-polarized large-angle absorbent metasurface and its design method and electronic device, belonging to the field of wireless communication and electromagnetic selective surface design technology. Background Technology
[0002] Absorptive / Transmissive Frequency Selective Surface (ATFSS) combines high transmittance within the operating frequency band with electromagnetic absorption capability in the out-of-band frequency band. It can suppress radar cross section while ensuring normal operation of communication, detection and other functions. Therefore, it has broad application prospects in the fields of stealth radomes, electromagnetic compatibility protection, and multifunctional electromagnetic loads.
[0003] In practical applications, the electromagnetic performance of a transmissive metasurface depends not only on its operating frequency but also on the incident angle of the electromagnetic wave. For applications such as airborne, shipborne, and ground-based communications, electromagnetic waves typically strike the structural surface from different directions and angles, requiring the transmissive metasurface to maintain stable transmission and absorption characteristics over a wide angular range. However, most existing transmissive metasurfaces are based on traditional frequency-selective surface structure designs, making their performance highly sensitive to the incident angle. As the incident angle increases, the structure's equivalent impedance and resonant characteristics change, easily leading to problems such as transmission band shift, increased insertion loss, and decreased absorption efficiency. In severe cases, this can even result in deteriorated communication performance and reduced stealth capabilities.
[0004] Furthermore, under dual-polarization operating conditions, the electromagnetic response of TE polarization and TM polarization varies significantly with the incident angle, making it more difficult to achieve stable absorption and transmission performance simultaneously over a wide angle range. Existing technologies are generally unable to meet the requirements of dual polarization and large-angle operation, and are difficult to meet the engineering application requirements in complex electromagnetic environments. Summary of the Invention
[0005] The first objective of this invention is to address the problems of decreased wave transmission performance, reduced wave absorption efficiency, and insufficient stability of dual-polarization operation in existing integrated absorber-transmitter metasurfaces under large-angle incident conditions. This invention provides a dual-polarization large-angle absorber-transmitter metasurface that can achieve stable electromagnetic absorption and transmission performance under wide-angle conditions, thereby improving the engineering application capability and environmental adaptability of the integrated absorber-transmitter metasurface.
[0006] A second objective of this invention is to provide an electronic device comprising the aforementioned dual-polarized large-angle absorbent metasurface.
[0007] The third objective of this invention is to provide a design method for the aforementioned dual-polarized large-angle permeation integrated metasurface.
[0008] The first objective of this invention can be achieved by adopting the following technical solution:
[0009] A dual-polarized, large-angle-permeable metasurface includes a low-frequency absorbing unit and a high-frequency transmitting unit. The low-frequency absorbing unit includes a first impedance matching structure, a second impedance matching structure, a third impedance matching structure, a square ring absorbing structure, a first dielectric plate, and a second dielectric plate. The first dielectric plate is disposed between the first impedance matching structure and the second impedance matching structure, and the second dielectric plate is disposed between the square ring absorbing structure and the third impedance matching structure. The first dielectric plate, the second dielectric plate, and the high-frequency transmitting unit are arranged sequentially from top to bottom.
[0010] Furthermore, the square ring absorbing structure is provided with a first absorbing resistor and a high-frequency short-circuit LC stub.
[0011] Furthermore, the low-frequency absorbing unit also includes a TM polarization matching control vertical structure, the two ends of which are connected to the square ring absorbing structure and the high-frequency transmission unit, respectively.
[0012] Furthermore, a second absorbing resistor is provided on the TM polarization matching control vertical structure.

The third dielectric plate is disposed between the TM polarized low-frequency stopband structure and the miniaturized square ring structure, and the fourth dielectric plate is disposed between the miniaturized square ring structure and the miniaturized cross structure.
[0015] Furthermore, the TM polarized low-frequency stopband structure is provided with LC lumped elements.
[0016] Furthermore, a lumped inductor is provided on the miniaturized square ring structure.
[0017] The second objective of this invention can be achieved by adopting the following technical solution:
[0018] An electronic device comprising the aforementioned dual-polarized large-angle absorbent metasurface.
[0019] The third objective of this invention can be achieved by adopting the following technical solution:
[0020] A design method for a dual-polarized large-angle permeability integrated metasurface, wherein the metasurface is the aforementioned dual-polarized large-angle permeability integrated metasurface, the method comprising:
[0021] Based on the impedance matching characteristics of large-angle obliquely incident electromagnetic waves, an absorbing structure consisting of a metal resonant unit, a lossy layer, and a dielectric layer is established, and the absorbing operating frequency band and the target incident angle range are determined.
[0022] By adjusting the structural parameters in the X and Y directions respectively, the decoupled design of the electromagnetic responses of TM polarization and TE polarization is achieved. Specifically, the equivalent inductance and capacitance effects generated by the Y-direction metal strip and metal patch are used to optimize the large-angle impedance matching of TE polarization. The coupling effect of the vertical three-dimensional resonant structure on the Z-direction electric field component is used to optimize the large-angle absorption performance of TM polarization, thereby obtaining a dual-polarization large-angle low-frequency absorbing unit.
[0023] Based on the CLC bandpass structure, an anisotropic design is introduced. By separately adjusting the structural parameters in the X and Y directions, the independent control of the TM polarization and TE polarization transmission characteristics is achieved, forming a dual-polarization transmission window in the target high-frequency band.
[0024] Miniaturization of the high-frequency transmission unit is achieved by introducing a bent metal structure, which reduces the structural angle sensitivity and suppresses the high-frequency grating lobe effect. At the same time, dielectric matching layers are loaded on the top and bottom of the high-frequency transmission unit to improve the impedance matching characteristics in the wide-angle domain and improve the transmission stability at large angles.
[0025] An LC series branch is connected in parallel across the loss resistors in the low-frequency absorbing unit and the high-frequency transmitting unit. This allows the LC series branch to form a bypass channel in the high-frequency transmitting band to reduce insertion loss, while maintaining energy dissipation capability in the low-frequency absorbing band, thus achieving frequency-selective decoupling of the absorbing and transmitting functions.
[0026] The low-frequency absorbing unit and the high-frequency transmitting unit are integrated vertically, with the high-frequency transmitting unit serving as the equivalent reflection boundary of the low-frequency absorbing unit in the low-frequency band. This achieves high-efficiency low-frequency absorption and low-loss high-frequency transmission in a wide angle range of 40° to 80° under dual-polarization conditions, forming a dual-polarization large-angle absorption and transmission integrated metasurface structure.
[0027] The present invention has the following advantages over the prior art:
[0028] 1. This invention adopts a design method that combines anisotropic structure and three-dimensional resonant structure, realizing independent control of TE polarization and TM polarization electromagnetic response. It effectively solves the problem that traditional integrated absorption and transmission structure is difficult to simultaneously take into account wide-angle absorption and transmission performance under dual polarization working conditions, and significantly improves the dual polarization adaptability and angular stability of the structure.
[0029] 2. By introducing miniaturized unit structures, dielectric matching layers, and LC lumped element loading technology, this invention effectively reduces the angular sensitivity and high-frequency insertion loss of the structure, enabling it to maintain stable absorption and transmission performance within a wide incident angle range of 40° to 80°. Obviously, the described embodiments are some embodiments of the present invention, but not all embodiments. [0039] Example:
[0040] like Figure 1As shown, this embodiment provides a dual-polarized large-angle transmissive metasurface. This metasurface includes a low-frequency absorbing unit and a high-frequency transmissive unit, possessing a combined function of low-frequency absorption and high-frequency transmission. The low-frequency absorbing unit includes a first impedance matching structure 101, a second impedance matching structure 102, a third impedance matching structure 103, a square ring absorbing structure 104, a first dielectric substrate 301, and a second dielectric substrate 302. The first impedance matching structure 101, the second impedance matching structure 102, and the third impedance matching structure 103 are supporting structures for optimizing dual-polarized low-frequency impedance matching under large-angle incident light, considering TE and TM. When the polarized wave is incident obliquely, the impedance characteristics differ significantly. An asymmetric design is adopted, in which the first impedance matching structure 101 is a square structure, the second impedance matching structure 102 is a cross-shaped structure, and the third impedance matching structure 103 is a rectangular structure. The square ring absorbing structure 104 is miniaturized and bent to suppress high-frequency grating lobes. The first dielectric plate 301 is set between the first impedance matching structure 101 and the second impedance matching structure 102. There is a certain distance between the first impedance matching structure 101, the second impedance matching structure 102 and the upper and lower surfaces of the first dielectric plate 301. The second dielectric plate 302 is set between the square ring absorbing structure 104 and the third impedance matching structure 103. The square ring absorbing structure 104 and the third impedance matching structure 103 are in close contact with the upper and lower surfaces of the second dielectric plate 302. The first dielectric plate 301, the second dielectric plate 302 and the high-frequency transmission unit are arranged sequentially from top to bottom. After the combination of each unit is completed, the overall structural dimensions are further optimized and adjusted.
[0041] Furthermore, a first absorbing resistor 201 is provided on the square ring absorbing structure 104. In order to reduce the interference of the low-frequency absorbing unit on the high-frequency transmission performance, a high-frequency short-circuit LC (inductor-capacitor) stub 203 is also provided on the square ring absorbing structure 104 to realize the short-circuit bypass of the resistor under the high-frequency path.
[0042] Furthermore, since the planar structure has limited effect on improving the low-frequency matching of large-angle incident TM polarized waves, a TM polarization matching control vertical structure 105 is added to the low-frequency absorbing unit. The TM polarization matching control vertical structure 105 is a vertical three-dimensional structure to achieve independent control of the TM polarization impedance. There are two TM polarization matching control vertical structures 105, which are respectively set on both sides of the metasurface. A second absorbing resistor 202 is set on each TM polarization matching control vertical structure.
[0043] like Figure 2As shown, the high-frequency transmission unit in this embodiment includes N×M transmission structures 401. In this embodiment, N=5 and M=4, that is, there are a total of 20 transmission structures 401. Each transmission structure includes a TM polarized low-frequency stopband structure 501, a miniaturized square ring structure 502, a miniaturized cross structure 503, a third dielectric plate 701, and a fourth dielectric plate 702. The miniaturized square ring structure 502 and the miniaturized cross structure 503 are based on the traditional CLC transmission configuration and adopt anisotropic design. By adjusting the structural parameters in the X and Y directions respectively, independent impedance matching and transmission characteristics control can be achieved for TM and TE polarized waves. Finally, a dual-polarized high-frequency transmission passband is formed in the X band. The miniaturization design of the unit is completed by introducing a bending configuration, while reducing the sensitivity of the structure to the incident angle.
[0044] Furthermore, each wave-transmitting structure is arranged sequentially from top to bottom as a third dielectric plate 701, a fourth dielectric plate 702, and a third dielectric plate 701. The third dielectric plate 701 is positioned between the TM polarized low-frequency stopband structure 501 and the miniaturized square ring structure 502, and the fourth dielectric plate is positioned between the miniaturized square ring structure and the miniaturized cross structure. The fourth dielectric plate 702 serves as the basic dielectric substrate, and the third dielectric plate 701 serves as the dielectric matching layer. This further mitigates performance deviations at different angles, enabling the structure to maintain stable wave transmission capability over a wide angle range.
[0045] Furthermore, an LC lumped element 601 is provided on the TM polarized low-frequency stopband structure 501. This design effectively improves the reflection effect of TM polarization in the C-band without interfering with the high-frequency transmission performance, laying a technical foundation for the overall design of the subsequent integrated transmissive metasurface. A lumped inductor is provided on the miniaturized square ring structure 502 to further improve the reflection effect of TM polarization in the C-band.
[0046] This embodiment also provides a design method for the above-mentioned dual-polarized large-angle permeation integrated metasurface, which includes the following steps:
[0047] 1) Constructing the basic structure of the low-frequency absorbing unit: Based on the impedance matching characteristics of large-angle obliquely incident electromagnetic waves, establish an absorbing structure composed of a metal resonant unit, a lossy layer and a dielectric layer, and determine the absorbing operating frequency band and the target incident angle range.
[0048] 2) Achieve independent control of dual-polarization absorption characteristics: By adjusting the structural parameters in the X and Y directions respectively, the electromagnetic response of TM polarization and TE polarization is decoupled.
[0049] 3) Constructing a high-frequency transmission unit: Based on the CLC bandpass structure, anisotropic design is introduced. By adjusting the structural parameters in the X and Y directions respectively, the independent control of the TM polarization and TE polarization transmission characteristics is achieved, forming a dual-polarization transmission window in the target high-frequency band.
[0050] 4) Optimize the wide-angle stability performance of the high-frequency transmission unit: Miniaturize the high-frequency transmission unit by introducing a bent metal structure, reduce the structural angle sensitivity and suppress the high-frequency grating lobe effect. At the same time, load dielectric matching layers on the top and bottom of the high-frequency transmission unit to improve the impedance matching characteristics in the wide-angle domain and improve the transmission stability at large angles.
[0051] 5) Achieve coordinated design of low-frequency absorption and high-frequency transmission: Connect LC series branches in parallel across the loss resistors in the low-frequency absorption unit and the high-frequency transmission unit. This allows the LC series branches to form a bypass channel in the high-frequency transmission band to reduce insertion loss, while maintaining energy dissipation capability in the low-frequency absorption band, thus achieving frequency-selective decoupling of absorption and transmission functions.
[0052] 6) Integrated design of absorption and transmission metasurface: The low-frequency absorbing unit and the high-frequency transmitting unit are integrated vertically. The high-frequency transmitting unit also serves as the equivalent reflection boundary of the low-frequency absorbing unit in the low-frequency band, realizing the functions of low-frequency high-efficiency absorption and high-frequency low-loss transmission in a wide angle range of 40° to 80° under dual polarization, forming a dual polarization large-angle absorption and transmission metasurface structure.

[0057] In summary, the dual-polarized wide-angle absorbing and transmitting metasurface of the present invention adopts a design that integrates a low-frequency absorbing layer and a high-frequency transmitting layer on top of each other. It achieves independent control of the electromagnetic response of TE polarization and TM polarization through anisotropic topology configuration, reduces angle sensitivity and suppresses high-frequency grating lobe effect by introducing miniaturized unit structure, and improves wide-angle impedance matching characteristics by loading dielectric matching layers on top and bottom of the structure.
