Description

Technical Field

[0001] This application relates to the field of communication technology, and in particular to encoding methods, decoding methods and apparatus. Background Technology

[0002] In a communication system, the transmitting device can cascade a pre-encoder (also known as a distribution matcher) before encoding. The pre-encoder pre-encodes the payload bit sequence (or can be called distribution matching or shaping, which maps part or all of the bit sequence in the payload bit sequence to a sequence that follows a specific distribution) to obtain a pre-coded bit sequence of length L. This makes the pre-coded bit sequence follow or approximate a specific distribution, thereby saving transmission power. L can be determined based on the number of resource elements (REs) corresponding to the transmission resources.

[0003] For example, the transmitting device can pre-encode some or all of the bits in the payload bit sequence. Pre-encoding may include polar coding; that is, the transmitting device can perform polar coding on the payload bit sequence based on a first position set to obtain an encoded bit sequence of length N, where N is the length of the mother code. Further, the transmitting device can determine a pre-coded bit sequence of length L based on the aforementioned encoded bit sequence of length N. How to determine the first position set to improve the shaping effect is a problem that urgently needs to be solved. Summary of the Invention

[0004] This application provides an encoding method, a decoding method, and an apparatus that can determine a first set of positions and map some or all of the bits in the payload bit sequence to a sequence that follows a specific distribution based on the first set of positions, thereby improving the shaping effect.

[0005] Firstly, this application provides an encoding method that can be executed by a transmitting device. Unless otherwise specified, "transmitting device" in this application can refer to the transmitting device itself, a component within the transmitting device (e.g., a processor, chip, or chip system), or a logic module or software capable of implementing all or part of the functions of the transmitting device. The method includes: the transmitting device pre-coding a first sequence of length P to obtain a second sequence of length L; and performing channel coding based on the second sequence to obtain a coded bit sequence. Here, L is a positive integer greater than P, P is a positive integer, and the first sequence carries the payload bits corresponding to the first sequence. The pre-coding includes polar coding; the second sequence is determined based on a third sequence of length N, and the third sequence is obtained by polar coding the first sequence based on a first set of positions. At least one position in the first set is determined based on the magnitude of the log-likelihood ratio (LLR) corresponding to the at least one position, and the at least one position is used to carry at least one bit in the first sequence. N is the length of the master code.

[0006] Specifically, unlike determining the first set of locations based on the preset reliability of N locations (i.e., the first set of locations may include the P least reliable locations among the N locations), in this application, at least one location in the first set of locations can be determined based on the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one location. In other words, the transmitting device can determine the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one location among the N locations online (or in real time) to determine the actual reliability of the at least one location. This allows at least one location with low actual reliability to be determined as the first set of locations, improving the accuracy of determining the first set of locations. In addition, the transmitting device can map the first sequence to a sequence that follows a specific distribution (i.e., the second sequence) based on the determined first set of locations, which can better improve the shaping effect and thus save the transmitting power of the transmitting device.

[0007] One possible implementation is that the magnitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position is associated with some or all of the bits in the first sequence.

[0008] Based on this possible implementation, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position can be determined according to some or all of the bits in the first sequence. Since the first sequence is different in different communication scenarios, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position can be determined for different communication scenarios, which can improve the accuracy of determining the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position. In addition, the transmitting device can determine a first set of positions based on the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position, and map the first sequence to a sequence that follows a specific distribution (i.e., a second sequence) based on the determined first set of positions, which can better improve the shaping effect and thus save the transmitting power of the transmitting device.

[0009] One possible implementation is that the magnitude of the LLR corresponding to each position in at least one location is less than or equal to a first threshold; wherein the first threshold is predefined; or, the first threshold is associated with P / L.

[0010] Based on this possible implementation, if the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to each position in at least one position is less than or equal to the first threshold, the actual reliability of the at least one position is low. This can make the actual reliability of at least one position included in the first position set low. The transmitting device can map the first sequence to a sequence that follows a specific distribution (i.e., the second sequence) based on the determined first position set, which can better improve the shaping effect and thus save the transmitting power of the transmitting device.

[0011] One possible implementation is that the first threshold is positively correlated with P / L.

[0012] Based on this possible implementation, the first threshold can be associated with P / L. When P is large, the first position set includes a large number of positions, and the first threshold is large, which can identify more positions where the amplitude of LLR is less than or equal to the first threshold, thus improving the shaping effect. When P is small, the first position set includes a small number of positions, and the first threshold is small, which can identify fewer positions where the amplitude of LLR is less than or equal to the first threshold, thus reducing the implementation complexity.

[0013] One possible implementation is that C first intervals correspond to C first thresholds; the c1th first threshold corresponding to the c1th first interval in the C first intervals is less than the c2th first threshold corresponding to the c2th first interval in the C first intervals, where c1 is a positive integer less than or equal to C, c2 is a positive integer less than or equal to C, c1 is less than c2, and P / L is located in one of the C first intervals.

[0014] Based on this possible implementation, the P / L value can be divided into C first intervals, each corresponding to a first threshold. The transmitting device can determine the first threshold corresponding to the first interval based on the first interval where the P / L is located, which can reduce the implementation complexity. In addition, the c1th first threshold corresponding to the c1th first interval in the C first intervals is less than the c2th first threshold corresponding to the c2th first interval in the C first intervals. That is, when the P / L is large, the first position set includes a large number of positions, and a larger first threshold can identify more positions where the LLR amplitude is less than or equal to the first threshold, which can improve the shaping effect. When the P / L is small, the first position set includes a small number of positions, and a smaller first threshold can identify fewer positions where the LLR amplitude is less than or equal to the first threshold, which can reduce the implementation complexity.

[0015] One possible implementation is that D P / Ls correspond to D first thresholds, and the d1-th first threshold corresponding to the d1-th P / L in the D P / Ls is less than the d2-th first threshold corresponding to the d2-th P / L in the D P / Ls, where d1 is a positive integer less than or equal to D, d2 is a positive integer less than or equal to D, and d1 is less than d2.

[0016] Based on this possible implementation, a first threshold can be determined for each P / L, which can improve the accuracy of the first threshold determination. Furthermore, the d1-th first threshold corresponding to the d1-th P / L among D P / Ls is less than the d2-th first threshold corresponding to the d2-th P / L among D P / Ls. That is, when the P / L is large, the first position set includes a larger number of positions, and a larger first threshold can identify more positions where the LLR amplitude is less than or equal to the first threshold, thus improving the shaping effect; when the P / L is small, the first position set includes a smaller number of positions, and a smaller first threshold can identify fewer positions where the LLR amplitude is less than or equal to the first threshold, thus reducing implementation complexity.

[0017] One possible implementation is that the first set of positions includes P positions from the second set of positions; wherein the second set of positions includes N positions; or, in the case where precoding includes rate matching, the second set of positions includes all N positions except for the rate matching bit positions.

[0018] One possible implementation is that, when the second position set includes N positions, L is N, and the second sequence is the third sequence; or, when the second position set includes N positions excluding the rate-matching bit positions, L is less than N, and the second sequence includes L bits of the third sequence excluding the rate-matching bit.

[0019] Based on the two possible implementations described above, when L is N, rate matching can be omitted for the third sequence. In this case, the third sequence is the same as the second sequence, and the first position set can include P positions out of N positions, simplifying the implementation. When L is less than N, rate matching can be performed on the third sequence. In this case, the second sequence includes all bits in the third sequence except for the rate-matching bits. Correspondingly, the first position set can include P positions out of N positions except for the rate-matching bit positions (i.e., the rate-matching bit positions can be avoided when determining the P positions). This ensures that all bits in the second sequence are not rate-matching bits, thus participating in channel coding and improving communication reliability.

[0020] One possible implementation is that at least one position is A positions, where A is a positive integer less than P, and the first set of positions includes a first subset and a second subset; wherein, the first subset includes the least reliable (PA) positions in the second set of positions; the second subset includes A positions in the second set of positions other than the first subset where the amplitude of LLR is less than or equal to a first threshold, or, the second subset includes A positions in the third set of positions where the amplitude of LLR is less than or equal to the first threshold; the third set of positions includes X1 least reliable positions in the second set of positions other than the first subset, where X1 is a positive integer greater than or equal to A.

[0021] Based on this possible implementation, the first location set can include two parts. One part (i.e., the second subset) can include the least reliable (PA) locations in the second location set, and the other part (i.e., the first subset) can include A locations in the second location set other than the first subset (or the third location set) whose LLR amplitude is less than or equal to the first threshold. This allows some locations in the first location set to be determined based on a preset reliability, and other locations to be determined based on the LLR amplitude, which can reduce the implementation complexity.

[0022] Among the N positions, the amplitude of the LLR at the least reliable (PA) positions is basically less than or equal to the first threshold. That is, the actual reliability of the (PA) positions among the N positions is basically consistent with the preset reliability. The (PA) positions among the N positions can be directly determined as the first subset (that is, the first set of positions can include the (PA) positions among the N positions). The actual reliability of the positions other than the least reliable (PA) positions among the N positions is not necessarily the same as the preset reliability. The actual reliability of the position can be determined based on the amplitude of the LLR, thereby improving the shaping effect.

[0023] One possible implementation is that A is predefined; or, the ratio of A to P is a preset value.

[0024] Based on this possible implementation, A can be predefined by the protocol, allowing the sending device to directly determine A, which reduces the workload of the sending device, lowers power consumption, and reduces implementation complexity. Alternatively, the ratio of A to P can be a preset value, allowing A to be determined based on P and the preset value. When P is large, A can be large, improving the flexibility and versatility of determining the second subset; when P is small, A can be small, reducing implementation complexity.

[0025] One possible implementation is that X1 is predefined; or X1 is determined according to one or more of the following: L, P, or A.

[0026] Based on this possible implementation, X1 can be predefined by the protocol, allowing the sending device to directly determine X1. This reduces the workload of the sending device, lowers power consumption, and reduces implementation complexity. Alternatively, X1 can be determined based on one or more of the following: L, P, and A. This allows for the determination of X1 that meets the actual communication requirements based on the specific communication scenario, improving generality performance and enhancing the flexibility and versatility of X1 determination.

[0027] One possible implementation is that X1 is the difference between P multiplied by M and (PA); M is predefined, or M is associated with P / L; or X1 is the sum of A and a first value, which is L multiplied by t, where t is predefined.

[0028] Based on this possible implementation, X1 can be determined according to the actual communication scenario, and the value of X1 can be greater than or equal to A, ensuring that the determined second subset can include A positions, which can improve communication performance.

[0029] One possible implementation is that M is positively correlated with P / L.

[0030] Based on this possible implementation, the value of M can be associated with P / L. When P is small, the value of M can be small, which makes the value of X1 small, allowing the second subset to be determined from fewer positions, thus simplifying the implementation. When P is large, the value of M can be large, which makes the value of X1 large, allowing the second subset to be determined from more positions, thus improving the flexibility and diversity of the determination of the second subset.

[0031] One possible implementation is that Y second intervals correspond to Y M, and the i-th second interval among the Y second intervals corresponds to M. i M corresponding to the j-th second interval among the Y second intervals j , i is a positive integer less than or equal to Y, j is a positive integer less than or equal to Y, i is less than j, and P / L is located in one of the Y second intervals.

[0032] Based on this possible implementation, the value of P / L can be divided into Y second intervals, each second interval corresponding to an M. The sending device can determine the M corresponding to the second interval based on the second interval where P / L is located, which can reduce the implementation complexity; in addition, the M corresponding to the i-th second interval among the Y second intervals. i M corresponding to the j-th second interval among the Y second intervals jIn other words, when P / L is large, the value of M can be large, which can make the value of X1 larger, allowing the second subset to be determined from more positions, thus improving the flexibility and diversity of the determination of the second subset; when P / L is small, the value of M can be small, which can make the value of X1 smaller, allowing the second subset to be determined from fewer positions, thus simplifying the implementation.

[0033] One possible implementation is that Z P / Ls correspond to Z Ms, and the u-th P / L among the Z P / Ls corresponds to an M. u M corresponding to the vth P / L among Z P / Ls v u is a positive integer less than or equal to Z, v is a positive integer less than or equal to Z, and u is less than v.

[0034] Based on this possible implementation, an M can be determined for each P / L, which can improve the accuracy of determining M. Additionally, the M corresponding to the u-th P / L among the Z P / Ls... u M corresponding to the vth P / L among Z P / Ls v U is a positive integer less than or equal to Z. In other words, when P / L is large, the value of M can be large, which can make the value of X1 larger, and the second subset can be determined from more positions, which can improve the flexibility and diversity of the determination of the second subset; when P / L is small, the value of M can be small, which can make the value of X1 smaller.

[0035] One possible implementation is that at least one position is P positions, the first position set includes P positions in the second position set whose LLR amplitude is less than or equal to a first threshold; or, the first position set includes P positions in the fourth position set whose LLR amplitude is less than or equal to the first threshold, the fourth position set includes the X2 least reliable positions in the second position set, where X2 is a positive integer greater than or equal to P, and X2 is determined according to one or more of the following: P or L.

[0036] Based on this possible implementation, all bits in the first position set can be determined according to the amplitude of the LLR. That is, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the position can be determined in ascending order of the position number in the second position set (or the fourth position set). Positions with LLR amplitudes less than or equal to the first threshold are determined as the first position set. This can ensure that the actual reliability of the positions in the first position set is as low as possible, thereby improving the accuracy of determining the first position set. In addition, the transmitting device can map the first sequence to a sequence that follows a specific distribution (i.e., the second sequence) based on the determined first position set, which can better improve the shaping effect and thus save the transmitting power of the transmitting device.

[0037] One possible implementation is that X2 is predefined; or X2 is determined according to one or more of the following: L or P.

[0038] Based on this possible implementation, X2 can be predefined by the protocol, allowing the sending device to directly determine X2. This reduces the workload of the sending device, lowers power consumption, and reduces implementation complexity. Alternatively, X2 can be determined based on one or more of the following: L or P. This allows for the determination of X2 to meet actual communication needs based on the specific communication scenario, improving communication performance and enhancing the flexibility and versatility of X2 determination.

[0039] One possible implementation is that X2 is M times P, where M is predefined, or M is associated with P / L; or X2 is the sum of P and a first value, where the first value is t times L, and t is predefined.

[0040] Based on this possible implementation, X2 can be determined according to the actual communication scenario, and the value of X2 can be greater than or equal to P, ensuring that the determined second subset can include P positions, which can improve communication performance.

[0041] One possible implementation is that the transmitting device performs channel coding based on the second sequence and the fourth sequence to obtain a coded bit sequence; wherein the fourth sequence carries payload bits other than the payload bits corresponding to the first sequence in a payload bit sequence of length K, where K is a positive integer.

[0042] Based on this possible implementation, the transmitting device can precode a portion of the payload bits in the payload bit sequence to obtain a second sequence; then, it can perform channel coding on the second sequence and a fourth sequence (the fourth sequence being another portion of the payload bits in the payload bit sequence, for example, the fourth sequence can be the remaining payload bits in the payload bit sequence excluding the payload bits corresponding to the first sequence) to obtain a coded bit sequence. Compared to precoding all payload bits in the payload bit sequence, this application can precode only a portion of the payload bits in the payload bit sequence, which can reduce the number of payload bits that need to be precoded, reduce the complexity of precoding, and simplify implementation.

[0043] One possible implementation is that the transmitting device acquires a payload bit sequence of length K; where K is a positive integer; the payload bit sequence includes the payload bits corresponding to the first sequence; or, the payload bit sequence includes the payload bits corresponding to the first sequence and the payload bits corresponding to the fourth sequence.

[0044] Based on this possible implementation, a feasible scheme is provided for the transmitting device to determine the first sequence and the fourth sequence. Specifically, the transmitting device can acquire the payload bit sequence, divide it into a first sequence and a fourth sequence, precode the first sequence to obtain the second sequence, and not precode the fourth sequence. Then, the second and fourth sequences can be concatenated and channel-coded to obtain the coded bit sequence. Compared to precoding all payload bits in the payload bit sequence, this application allows precoding only a portion of the payload bits, reducing the complexity of precoding and simplifying implementation.

[0045] Secondly, this application provides a decoding method that can be executed by a receiving device. Unless otherwise specified, "receiving device" in this application can refer to the receiving device itself, a component within the receiving device (e.g., a processor, chip, or chip system), or a logic module or software capable of implementing all or part of the functions of the receiving device. The method includes: the receiving device receiving information to be decoded; performing channel decoding based on the information to be decoded to obtain a fifth sequence of length L; and performing deprecoding on the fifth sequence to obtain a target sequence of length P; wherein L is a positive integer greater than P, and P is a positive integer; the deprecoding includes polar decoding, whereby the target sequence is obtained by polar decoding a sixth sequence of length N based on a first set of positions, and the sixth sequence is determined based on the fifth sequence; at least one position in the first set is determined based on the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the at least one position, and the at least one position is used to carry at least one bit in the target sequence, where N is the mother code length.

[0046] Specifically, unlike determining the first position set based on the preset reliability of N positions (i.e., the first position set may include the P least reliable positions among the N positions), in this application, at least one position in the first position set can be determined based on the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position. In other words, the receiving device can determine the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position among the N positions online (or in real time) to determine the actual reliability of the at least one position. Thus, at least one position with low actual reliability can be determined as the first position set, which can improve the accuracy of determining the first position set. In addition, the receiving device can perform polarization decoding on the fifth sequence and determine the bits in the decoded bit sequence located at the positions included in the first position set as the target sequence, which can simplify the implementation and improve the reliability of communication.

[0047] One possible implementation is that the magnitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position is associated with some or all of the bits in the fifth sequence.

[0048] Based on this possible implementation, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position can be determined based on some or all of the bits in the fifth sequence. Since the fifth sequence differs in different communication scenarios, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position can be determined for different communication scenarios, thus improving the accuracy of determining the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position. Furthermore, the receiving device can determine a first position set based on the amplitude of the LLR, perform polarization decoding on the fifth sequence, and determine the bits in the decoded bit sequence located at positions included in the first position set as the target sequence. This simplifies implementation and improves communication reliability.

[0049] One possible implementation is that the magnitude of the LLR corresponding to each position in at least one location is less than or equal to a first threshold; wherein the first threshold is predefined; or, the first threshold is associated with P / L.

[0050] Based on this possible implementation, if the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to each position in at least one position is less than or equal to a first threshold, the actual reliability of the at least one position is low, which can make the actual reliability of at least one position included in the first position set low, thereby improving the accuracy of determining the first position set.

[0051] One possible implementation is that the first threshold is positively correlated with P / L.

[0052] Based on this possible implementation, the first threshold can be associated with P / L.

[0053] One possible implementation is that C first intervals correspond to C first thresholds; the c1th first threshold corresponding to the c1th first interval in the C first intervals is less than the c2th first threshold corresponding to the c2th first interval in the C first intervals, where c1 is a positive integer less than or equal to C, c2 is a positive integer less than or equal to C, c1 is less than c2, and P / L is located in one of the C first intervals.

[0054] Based on this possible implementation, the P / L value can be divided into C first intervals, each corresponding to a first threshold. The receiving device can determine the first threshold corresponding to the first interval based on the first interval where the P / L is located, which can reduce the implementation complexity.

[0055] One possible implementation is that D P / Ls correspond to D first thresholds, and the d1-th first threshold corresponding to the d1-th P / L in the D P / Ls is less than the d2-th first threshold corresponding to the d2-th P / L in the D P / Ls, where d1 is a positive integer less than or equal to D, d2 is a positive integer less than or equal to D, and d1 is less than d2.

[0056] Based on this possible implementation, a first threshold can be determined for each P / L, which can improve the accuracy of the first threshold determination.

[0057] One possible implementation is that the first set of positions includes P positions from the second set of positions; wherein the second set of positions includes N positions; or, in the case where deprecoding includes derate matching, the second set of positions includes the N positions excluding the rate matching bit positions.

[0058] One possible implementation is that, in the case that the second position set includes N positions, L is N and the sixth sequence is the fifth sequence; or, in the case that the second position set includes N positions excluding the rate matching bit positions, L is less than N and the sixth sequence includes the fifth sequence and the rate matching bit.

[0059] Based on the two possible implementations described above, when L is N, rate matching can be omitted for the fifth sequence, in which case the fifth sequence becomes the sixth sequence, and the first position set can include P positions out of N positions, simplifying the implementation. When L is less than N, rate matching can be performed on the fifth sequence, in which case the sixth sequence includes the fifth sequence and the rate matching bit. Correspondingly, the first position set can include P positions out of N positions excluding the rate matching bit positions (i.e., the rate matching bit positions can be avoided when determining the P positions), improving communication reliability.

[0060] One possible implementation is that at least one position is A positions, where A is a positive integer less than P, and the first set of positions includes a first subset and a second subset; wherein, the first subset includes the least reliable (PA) positions in the second set of positions; the second subset includes A positions in the second set of positions other than the first subset where the amplitude of LLR is less than or equal to a first threshold, or, the second subset includes A positions in the third set of positions where the amplitude of LLR is less than or equal to the first threshold; the third set of positions includes X1 positions in the second set of positions other than the first subset where X1 is a positive integer greater than or equal to A.

[0061] Based on this possible implementation, the first location set can include two parts.

[0062] One possible implementation is that A is predefined; or, the ratio of A to P is a preset value.

[0063] Based on this possible implementation, A can be predefined by the protocol, allowing the receiving device to directly determine A. This reduces the workload of the receiving device, lowers power consumption, and reduces implementation complexity. Alternatively, the ratio of A to P can be a preset value, allowing A to be determined based on P and the preset value. When P is large, A can be large, improving the flexibility and versatility of determining the second subset; when P is small, A can be small, reducing implementation complexity.

[0064] One possible implementation is that X1 is predefined; or X1 is determined according to one or more of the following: L, P, or A.

[0065] Based on this possible implementation, X1 can be predefined by the protocol, allowing the receiving device to directly determine X1. This reduces the workload of the receiving device, lowers power consumption, and reduces implementation complexity. Alternatively, X1 can be determined based on one or more of the following: L, P, and A. This allows for the determination of X1 that meets the actual communication requirements based on the specific communication scenario, improving generality performance and enhancing the flexibility and versatility of X1 determination.

[0066] One possible implementation is that X1 is the difference between P multiplied by M and (PA); M is predefined, or M is associated with P / L; or X1 is the sum of A and a first value, which is L multiplied by t, where t is predefined.

[0067] Based on this possible implementation, X1 can be determined according to the actual communication scenario, and the value of X1 can be greater than or equal to A, ensuring that the determined second subset can include A positions, which can improve communication performance.

[0068] One possible implementation is that M is positively correlated with P / L.

[0069] Based on this possible implementation, the value of M can be associated with P / L.

[0070] One possible implementation is that Y second intervals correspond to Y M, and the i-th second interval among the Y second intervals corresponds to M. i M corresponding to the j-th second interval among the Y second intervals j , i is a positive integer less than or equal to Y, j is a positive integer less than or equal to Y, i is less than j, and P / L is located in one of the Y second intervals.

[0071] Based on this possible implementation, the value of P / L can be divided into Y second intervals, each second interval corresponding to an M. The receiving device can determine the M corresponding to the second interval where P / L is located, which can reduce the implementation complexity. Furthermore, the M corresponding to the i-th second interval among the Y second intervals... i M corresponding to the j-th second interval among the Y second intervals jIn other words, when P / L is large, the value of M can be large, which can make the value of X1 larger, allowing the second subset to be determined from more positions, thus improving the flexibility and diversity of the determination of the second subset; when P / L is small, the value of M can be small, which can make the value of X1 smaller, allowing the second subset to be determined from fewer positions, thus simplifying the implementation.

[0072] One possible implementation is that Z P / Ls correspond to Z Ms, and the u-th P / L among the Z P / Ls corresponds to an M. u M corresponding to the vth P / L among Z P / Ls v u is a positive integer less than or equal to Z, v is a positive integer less than or equal to Z, and u is less than v.

[0073] Based on this possible implementation, an M can be determined for each P / L, which can improve the accuracy of determining M.

[0074] One possible implementation is that at least one position is P positions, the first position set includes P positions in the second position set whose LLR amplitude is less than or equal to a first threshold; or, the first position set includes P positions in the fourth position set whose LLR amplitude is less than or equal to the first threshold, the fourth position set includes the X2 least reliable positions in the second position set, where X2 is a positive integer greater than or equal to P, and X2 is determined according to one or more of the following: P or L.

[0075] Based on this possible implementation, all bits in the first position set can be determined according to the amplitude of the LLR. In addition, the receiving device can perform polarization decoding on the fifth sequence and determine the bits in the decoded bit sequence that are located at the positions included in the first position set as the target sequence. This simplifies the implementation and improves the reliability of communication.

[0076] One possible implementation is that X2 is predefined; or X2 is determined according to one or more of the following: L or P.

[0077] Based on this possible implementation, X2 can be predefined by the protocol, allowing the receiving device to directly determine X2. This reduces the workload of the receiving device, lowers power consumption, and reduces implementation complexity. Alternatively, X2 can be determined based on one or more of the following: L or P. This allows for the determination of X2 to meet actual communication needs based on the specific communication scenario, improving communication performance and enhancing the flexibility and versatility of X2 determination.

[0078] One possible implementation is that X2 is M times P, where M is predefined, or M is associated with P / L; or X2 is the sum of P and a first value, where the first value is t times L, and t is predefined.

[0079] Based on this possible implementation, X2 can be determined according to the actual communication scenario, and the value of X2 can be greater than or equal to P, ensuring that the determined second subset can include P positions, which can improve communication performance.

[0080] One possible implementation is that the receiving device performs channel coding based on the information to be decoded to obtain a fifth sequence and a seventh sequence; wherein the seventh sequence carries payload bits other than the payload bits corresponding to the fifth sequence in a payload bit sequence of length K, where K is a positive integer.

[0081] Based on this possible implementation, the receiving device can obtain the fifth sequence that needs to be de-precoded and the seventh sequence that does not need to be precoded by performing channel decoding on the information to be decoded, thereby reducing the implementation complexity.

[0112] Before describing the embodiments of this application, the technical terms involved in the embodiments of this application will be described.

[0113] Higher-order modulation: Higher-order modulation refers to mapping multiple binary bits to a single modulation symbol to improve spectral efficiency. Examples include quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM), 64QAM, 256QAM, or 1024QAM.

[0114] For example, taking 64QAM as an example, during the mapping process, 6 = log2(64) bits can be mapped to the same modulation symbol. Since the real and imaginary parts are independent of each other, the real and imaginary parts of 64QAM each correspond to an 8-amplitude shift keying (ASK) modulation, that is, 3 bits can be mapped to an 8ASK symbol. As shown in Table 1 below, the bit mapping relationship of 8ASK is given. During the modulation process, the modulation symbol x can be determined according to bits b0, b1, and b2 as the modulation symbol to be transmitted. Among them, b0 is the symbol bit, and b1 and b2 are both amplitude bits. b0, b1, and b2 are sorted from high to low reliability as: b0, b1, b2. Different bit values of b0, b1, and b2 can correspond to different modulation symbols.

[0115] Table 1

[0116] <![CDATA[b0]]> 1 1 1 1 0 0 0 0 <![CDATA[b1]]> 1 1 0 0 0 0 1 1 <![CDATA[b2]]> 1 0 0 1 1 0 0 1 x -7 -5 -3 -1 1 3 5 7

[0117] Based on Table 1, taking b0 as 1 and b1 and b2 as 0 as an example, x can be -3; or, taking b0 and b2 as 1 and b1 as 0 as an example, x can be -1.

[0118] In higher-order modulation, different modulation symbols may have different energies. The average energy can be reduced by sending more low-energy modulation symbols and fewer high-energy modulation symbols, thereby saving transmission power.

[0119] It is understandable that for a Gaussian white noise channel, the energy saved is greatest when the distribution of modulation symbols in the modulation symbol sequence follows a Gaussian distribution, which can save up to 1.53 dB of transmission power compared to an average distribution.

[0120] Probabilistic shaping: Probabilistic shaping is a common "shaping" technique that pre-encodes (or shapes or matches distributions) a first bit sequence of length P to obtain a second bit sequence of length L, making the second bit sequence conform to or approximate a pre-defined distribution, thereby saving transmission power. Here, P and L are both positive integers.

[0121] Optionally, the first bit sequence can carry P payload bits from a payload bit sequence of length K, where P is less than K; or, the first bit sequence can carry all payload bits from a payload bit sequence of length K, where P = K.

[0122] For example, taking P less than K as an example, the flowchart of probability shaping can be as follows: Figure 1 As shown, the payload bit sequence can be divided into at least two groups, such as a first bit sequence and a third bit sequence without pre-coding. A precoder (also called a distribution matcher or transform, etc.) can be cascaded before encoding to process the first bit sequence u0, u1, ..., u P-1 Precoding is performed to obtain the second bit sequence p0, p1, ..., p L-1 And for the second bit sequence p0, p1, ..., p L-1 The encoded bit sequence is obtained by encoding the third bit sequence, and then the encoded bit sequence can be interleaved and modulated to obtain the modulated symbol sequence, and the modulated symbol sequence is output.

[0123] The distribution of constellations after the procedure can be shown as follows: Figure 2 As shown, the horizontal axis represents the value of the modulation symbol, and the vertical axis represents the probability of the modulation symbol appearing. The square of the modulation symbol reflects the energy level; that is, the smaller the square of the modulation symbol, the lower the energy, and the larger the square of the modulation symbol, the higher the energy. Figure 2 It can be seen that the probability of low-energy modulation symbols appearing is higher than that of high-energy modulation symbols, thus saving transmission power.

[0124] A precoding method based on polar coding: The transmitting device can precode the first bit sequence based on polar coding and rate matching. Specifically, the transmitting device can polar code the first bit sequence of length P to obtain a fourth bit sequence of length N; then, it can rate match the fourth bit sequence to obtain a second bit sequence of length L, where N can be understood as the mother code length, and P and L are positive integers.

[0125] For example, the transmitting device can place the first bit sequence at P positions included in the first position set (the first position set may include the P least reliable positions other than the rate-matching bit positions out of N positions) to construct a fifth bit sequence of length N; then, a fourth bit sequence of length N can be determined based on the fifth bit sequence and the encoding matrix of length N, for example, the fourth bit sequence can satisfy the following formula: (u0,…,u N-1 )G N =(d0,…,d N-1 ), (u0,…,u N-1 This is the fifth bit sequence, G. N That is, a coding matrix of length N, (d0,…,d N-1 This is the fourth bit sequence.

[0126] Furthermore, the transmitting device can perform rate matching on the fourth bit sequence to obtain the second bit sequence. For example, the second bit sequence may include L bits from the fourth bit sequence excluding the rate-matching bits.

[0127] In this application, a coding matrix of length N can be understood as having N rows or columns.

[0128] For example, taking L = 4, P = 3, and N = 4 as an example, the first position set can be determined as the P = 3 least reliable positions among N = 4 positions. The first position set can be {0 1 2}. Assuming the first bit sequence is {1 1 1}, then the bit value of the 0th bit in the fifth bit sequence can be 1, the bit value of the 1st bit can be 1, and the bit value of the 2nd bit can be 1. Alternatively, the bit value of the 3rd bit in the fifth bit sequence can be determined by preset or decoding. For example, if the 3rd bit value is 1, then the fifth bit sequence can be {1 1 1 1}. The fifth bit sequence can be multiplied by an encoding matrix of length N = 4 to obtain a fourth bit sequence of length N = 4, that is, the fourth bit sequence can be {0 0 01}. Since L and N are equal, the fourth bit sequence is the second bit sequence mentioned above.

[0129] In this application, the position can be indicated by the position number, which can be called the position index or bit index. That is to say, the position set in this application can include the position number.

[0130] The process of polar coding the fifth bit sequence to obtain the fourth bit sequence can also be described as follows: Figure 3 As shown, the fifth bit sequence (i.e., {1 1 1 1}) can be polarized encoded using an Arikan polarization kernel of length N=4 (an Arikan polarization kernel of length N=4 can be obtained by coupling two Arikan polarization kernels of length 2), to obtain the fourth bit sequence (i.e., {0 0 0 1}).

[0131] In summary, the transmitting device can perform polar coding on some or all of the bits in the payload bit sequence based on the first position set to obtain a fourth bit sequence of length N. Furthermore, the transmitting device can determine a second bit sequence of length L based on the fourth bit sequence. For example, as shown... Figure 4 As shown, the L positions (i.e., the L positions other than the rate matching bit position out of the N positions) can be arranged from low to high reliability, and the first set of positions can include the P least reliable positions among the L positions.

[0132] However, the determination of the first location mentioned above is based on a preset reliability of the location, and the actual reliability of the location varies in different communication scenarios. Therefore, how to better determine the set of first locations to improve the shaping effect has become an urgent problem to be solved.

[0133] This application provides an encoding method and a decoding method. A transmitting device pre-encodes a first sequence of length P to obtain a second sequence of length L. Channel coding is then performed on the second sequence to obtain a coded bit sequence. Here, L is a positive integer greater than P, P is a positive integer, and the first sequence carries the payload bits corresponding to the first sequence. The pre-coding includes polar coding. The second sequence is determined based on a third sequence of length N. The third sequence is obtained by polar coding the first sequence based on a first set of positions. At least one position in the first set is determined based on the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to that position. This at least one position carries at least one bit from the first sequence, and N is the mother code length.

[0134] Specifically, unlike determining the first set of locations based on the preset reliability of N locations (i.e., the first set of locations may include the P least reliable locations among the N locations), in this application, at least one location in the first set of locations can be determined based on the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one location. In other words, the transmitting device can determine the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one location among the N locations online (or in real time) to determine the actual reliability of that at least one location.

[0135] The embodiments of this application will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0136] The encoding and decoding methods provided in this application can be used in any communication system, including third-generation partnership project (3GPP) communication systems such as Long Term Evolution (LTE) systems, fifth-generation (5G) mobile communication systems, LTE and 5G hybrid networking systems, new radio (NR) systems, NR vehicle-to-everything (V2X) systems, device-to-device (D2D) communication systems, machine-to-machine (M2M) communication systems, Internet of Things (IoT) systems, narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) systems, Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM), Enhanced Data Rate for GSM Evolution (EDGE), Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA), and Code Division Multiple Access 2000 systems. Access, CDMA2000, Time Division-Synchronization Code Division Multiple Access (TD-SCDMA), Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB), Ultra-Reliable and Low-Latency Communication (URLLC), Enhanced Machine-Type Communication (eMTC), and various types of future communication systems are also included. Non-terrestrial network (NTN) systems (such as satellite communication systems) and non-3GPP communication systems are also included without restriction.

[0137] The encoding and decoding methods provided in this application can be applied to various communication scenarios. For example, they can be applied to one or more of the following communication scenarios: encoding of control channels, encoding of data channels, etc., without limitation.

[0138] The following is based on Figure 5 Taking an example, the communication system provided in the embodiments of this application will be described.

[0139] Figure 5 A schematic diagram of a communication system provided in an embodiment of this application is shown below. Figure 5 As shown, the communication system may include at least one terminal device and at least one network device.

[0140] in, Figure 5 The terminal device can be located within the beam / cell coverage area of the network device, and the network device can provide communication services to the terminal device. For example, the network device can use channel coding to encode downlink data and then transmit it to the terminal device via air interface after constellation modulation (i.e., the network device is the transmitting device and the terminal device is the receiving device); the terminal device can also use channel coding to encode uplink data and then transmit it to the network device via air interface after constellation modulation (i.e., the terminal device is the transmitting device and the network device is the receiving device).

[0141] It is understandable that when network devices communicate with each other, or when terminal devices communicate with each other, they can also communicate based on channel coding. That is, the sending end device and the receiving end device can both be network devices or both be terminal devices, without restriction.

[0142] Figure 5 The terminal equipment in this context can be a device with wireless transceiver capabilities or a chip or chip system that can be configured on the device. It allows users to access the network and is used to provide voice and / or data connectivity to users. Terminal equipment can also be called user equipment (UE), subscriber unit, terminal, mobile station (MS), or mobile terminal (MT), etc.

[0143] For example, a terminal device can be a mobile phone, a tablet computer, or a computer with wireless transceiver capabilities. A terminal device can also be a user station, mobile station, remote station, remote terminal device, mobile terminal device, user terminal device, wireless communication device, user agent, user device, cellular phone, cordless phone, session initiation protocol (SIP) phone, wireless local loop (WLL) station, personal digital assistant (PDA), handheld device with wireless communication capabilities, computing device, processing device connected to a wireless modem, in-vehicle device, wearable device, terminal device in the Internet of Things (IoT), home appliance, virtual reality (VR) terminal, augmented reality (AR) terminal, wireless terminal in industrial control, wireless terminal in autonomous driving, wireless terminal in telemedicine, wireless terminal in smart grid, wireless terminal in smart city, wireless terminal in smart home, vehicle with vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication capabilities, intelligent connected vehicle, or unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) communication. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with U2U (toUAV, U2U) communication capabilities, terminal devices in future networks, or terminal devices in future evolved public land mobile networks (PLMNs) are not subject to restrictions.

[0144] in, Figure 5 The network equipment in this context can be any device deployed in the access network capable of wireless communication with terminal devices. It can also be a chip or chip system configurable within such devices, a logical node or module, or a function implemented in software. Its main responsibilities include air interface-side wireless physical control, resource scheduling, wireless resource management, quality of service management, data compression and encryption, wireless access control, and mobility management. Specifically, the network equipment can be either wired or wireless access-enabled.

[0145] For example, a network device can consist of one or more access network (AN) / radio access network (RAN) nodes. AN / RAN nodes can be various types of base stations, such as: satellite base stations, evolved Node Bs (gNBs), transmission reception points (TRPs), evolved Node Bs (eNBs), radio network controllers (RNCs), Node Bs (NBs), base station controllers (BSCs), base transceiver stations (BTSs), home base stations (e.g., home evolved Node Bs, or home Node Bs (HNBs), macro base stations, micro base stations, pico base stations, small cells, relay stations, balloon stations, drone stations, wireless backhaul nodes, baseband units (BBUs), or wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) access points (APs), etc. It is understood that network devices can be terrestrial devices or non-terrestrial devices (such as satellites, drones, high-altitude communication equipment, etc.). Furthermore, in communication systems employing different wireless access technologies, the names of network devices with base station functions may differ, and this application does not impose any restrictions on this.

[0146] In another example, the network equipment may include a BBU and a remote radio unit (RRU). The BBU and RRU can be located in different places; for example, the RRU can be moved remotely to a high-traffic area, while the BBU is located in the central equipment room. The BBU and RRU can also be located in the same equipment room. The BBU and RRU can also be different components under the same rack.

[0147] In another example, the network device can be a device that includes centralized unit (CU) nodes, distributed unit (DU) nodes, or both CU and DU nodes. For instance, the network device can be logically divided into CUs and DUs, with some protocol layer functions centrally controlled by the CU, and the remaining partial or complete protocol layer functions distributed in the DU, which is centrally controlled by the CU. The CU and DU can be separate entities or included in the same network element, such as a BBU. Furthermore, the centralized unit (CU) can be further divided into a control plane (CU-CP) and a user plane (CU-UP).

[0148] In another example, the network device may also be a device that includes a radio unit (RU), or a device that includes a CU, a DU, and a RU. The RU may be included in a radio frequency device or radio frequency unit, such as an RRU, an active antenna unit (AAU), or a remote radio head (RRH).

[0149] It is understood that CU (or CU-CP and CU-UP), DU, or RU may have different names in different systems, but those skilled in the art will understand their meaning. For example, in an open radioaccess network (O-RAN) system, CU can also be called O-CU (open CU), DU can also be called O-DU, CU-CP can also be called O-CU-CP, CU-UP can also be called O-CU-UP, and RU can also be called O-RU. For ease of description, this application uses CU, CU-CP, CU-UP, DU, and RU as examples. Any of the units among CU (or CU-CP, CU-UP), DU, and RU in this application can be implemented through a software module, a hardware module, or a combination of software and hardware modules.

[0150] Based on the above description of the terminal device and network device, optionally, the encoding method and decoding method provided in the embodiments of this application can be implemented by the aforementioned terminal device or network device, or by components of the terminal device or network device, such as application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), or software (such as program code in memory) deployed in the terminal device or network device, without limitation.

[0151] Optionally, in the embodiments of this application, the transmitting device (or source) and the receiving device (or sink) can adopt the following... Figure 6 The process shown involves encoding and decoding. The transmitting device can be... Figure 5 Any terminal device or network device in the communication system shown, the receiving device can also be Figure 5 Any terminal device or network device in the communication system shown.

[0152] In this process, the transmitting device performs source coding on its generated bits to obtain a source bit stream. Then, it performs channel coding on the source bit stream, modulates it, and transmits the modulated symbols to the receiving device through a noisy channel. When the receiving device receives the modulated symbols through the noisy channel, it demodulates them, performs channel decoding to recover the source bit stream, and then performs source decoding to obtain the decoded result.

[0153] In practical implementation, Figure 5 As shown in the figure: various terminal devices and network devices can adopt Figure 7 The shown composition structure, or including Figure 7 The components shown. [0168] Figure 8 A flowchart of an encoding method and a decoding method provided for embodiments of this application is shown below. Figure 8 As shown, the method may include the following steps:

[0169] Step 801: The transmitting device precodes the first sequence of length P to obtain a second sequence of length L.

[0170] Precoding can also be replaced by transformation, distribution matching transformation, shaping, forming, probabilistic shaping, or distribution matching, etc., without restriction.

[0171] The first sequence carries the payload bits corresponding to the first sequence, or it can be understood that the first sequence can carry some or all of the bits in the payload bit sequence.

[0172] Optionally, the transmitting device can acquire a payload bit sequence of length K. The payload bit sequence may include the payload bits corresponding to the first sequence, that is, the first sequence can carry all the bits in the payload bit sequence; or, the payload bit sequence may include the payload bits corresponding to the first sequence and the payload bit sequence corresponding to the fourth sequence, that is, the first sequence can carry some of the bits in the payload bit sequence, and the fourth sequence can carry another part of the bits in the payload bit sequence.

[0173] Where K is a positive integer. For example, K can be determined based on the number of transmission resources (REs) corresponding to the transmission resources. Transmission resources can be understood as resources (such as time-frequency resources or frequency-domain resources) used to carry the first sequence (or payload bit sequence). One RE can correspond to one modulation symbol. For instance, K can be the product of the number of REs corresponding to the transmission resources and the spectral efficiency, i.e., K = N. RE *SE, where SE is the spectral efficiency, N RE This represents the number of REs corresponding to the transmission resources.

[0174] Optionally, the first sequence may be some or all of the bits in the payload bit sequence (or it may be described as the first sequence carrying only the payload bits corresponding to the first sequence); or, the first sequence may carry some or all of the bits in the payload bit sequence, as well as check bits (such as cyclic redundancy check (CRC) bits) (or it may be described as the first sequence carrying the payload bits corresponding to the first sequence and check bits).

[0175] Understandably, the value of the check bit can be determined based on the value of the payload bits corresponding to the first sequence. Furthermore, the check bit can be located at any position in the first sequence; for example, the check bits can all be located at the end of the first sequence, or they can be distributed throughout the first sequence without restriction. Moreover, the check bit can check either the information bits preceding or following it, without restriction.

[0176] Where L is a positive integer. For example, L can be determined based on the number of REs corresponding to the transmission resource. For instance, L can be the product of a first quantity and a first factor, where the first factor is less than the modulation order, and the first quantity can be a positive integer less than or equal to the number of REs corresponding to the transmission resource.

[0177] It is understandable that the first quantity can be described as the number of modulation symbols in the transmission resource that have undergone precoding (or distribution matching, transformation, distribution matching transformation, shaping, probabilistic shaping, or reshaping). The number of precoded modulation symbols can be less than or equal to the number of REs corresponding to the transmission resource. Furthermore, the second sequence can be described as the output bit sequence corresponding to the precoding, and the first sequence is the input bit sequence corresponding to the precoding.

[0178] Where P is a positive integer less than L. For example, P can be the product of L and the distribution matching code rate (or precoding code rate). The distribution matching code rate can be understood as the ratio of the length of the input bit sequence corresponding to the precoding to the length of the output bit sequence corresponding to the precoding; the distribution matching code rate can also be described as the ratio of the length of the input symbol sequence corresponding to the precoding to the length of the output symbol sequence corresponding to the precoding.

[0179] Precoding includes polar coding. That is, the transmitting device can perform polar coding on the first sequence to obtain a third sequence of length N.

[0180] Where N is the length of the mother code. For example, N can be an integer power of 2. For instance, N can be 64; or N can be 256; or N can be 512; or N can be 1024.

[0181] Optionally, N can be determined based on L. For example, N can be the smallest integer power greater than or equal to L. For instance, if L is 220, N could be 256. Or, if the first product is 484, N could be 512.

[0182] It is understood that when L equals N, precoding can include polar coding, in which case the third sequence is the second sequence; when L is less than N, precoding can include polar coding and rate matching, in which case the second sequence can include bits from the third sequence other than the rate matching bits. That is, the second sequence in this application can be determined based on the third sequence.

[0183] The third sequence of length N is obtained by polar coding the first sequence based on the first position set; or it can be described as follows: the transmitting device can polar code the first sequence based on the first position set to obtain the third sequence of length N.

[0184] The first position set includes P positions out of N positions. Optionally, the transmitting device can map the first sequence to the positions included in the first position set to construct a bit sequence to be encoded of length N. Then, it can perform polar encoding on the bit sequence to be encoded to obtain the third sequence. For example, the bit sequence to be encoded can be polar encoded using a polar kernel of length N to obtain the third sequence. The specific polar encoding process can be referred to the above. Figure 4 The content shown will not be repeated here.

[0185] It is understandable that N positions are the 0th, 1st, 2nd, ..., N-2nd and N-1th positions used to carry bits in a sequence of length N (e.g., the bit sequence to be encoded, the third sequence, etc.).

[0186] In this first set of locations, at least one location is determined based on the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to that location, and the at least one location is used to carry at least one bit in the first sequence. That is, the transmitting device can determine the actual reliability of the at least one location based on the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one location out of N locations, such that the first set of locations may include at least one location with a lower actual reliability.

[0187] The amplitude of the LLR can be described as the absolute value of the LLR, the magnitude of the LLR, or simply the LLR itself; there are no restrictions. Furthermore, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position is determined in the same way as the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to any of the N positions. For details on how to determine the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to a position, please refer to the description of the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to a position below; it will not be repeated here.

[0188] Understandably, the transmitting device can map the first sequence to a sequence (i.e., the second sequence) that follows a specific distribution based on the determined first set of positions. The length of the second sequence can be greater than the length of the first sequence, which can make the absolute value of the difference between the number of "0"s and "1"s in the second sequence larger, thereby increasing the probability of low-power modulation symbols appearing in the modulation symbol sequence and reducing the transmission power of the transmitting device.

[0189] In this application, the starting bit in any sequence (such as a payload bit sequence, a first sequence, a second sequence, etc.) can be recorded as the 0th bit (or it can be described as the starting bit's index being 0); the embodiments of this application are also applicable to scenarios where the starting bit in the sequence is the 1st bit (or it can be described as the starting bit's index being 1), and are not limited thereto.

[0190] In this application, the network device can be a transmitting device or a receiving device; similarly, the terminal device can be a transmitting device or a receiving device, without restriction.

[0191] Step 802: The transmitting device performs channel coding based on the second sequence to obtain the coded bit sequence.

[0192] Optionally, the channel coding can be any coding method. For example, the channel coding can be LDPC coding, or it can be polar coding, or it can be convolutional coding, without limitation.

[0193] Optionally, if the first sequence carries a payload bit sequence, the transmitting device can perform channel coding on the second sequence to obtain a coded bit sequence; or, if the first sequence carries a portion of the payload bit sequence, the transmitting device can perform channel coding on the second and fourth sequences to obtain a coded bit sequence.

[0194] For example, the transmitting device can concatenate the second sequence and the fourth sequence to obtain a concatenated sequence, and then perform channel coding on the concatenated sequence to obtain a coded bit sequence. For instance, taking the length of the fourth sequence as L1, bits 0 to L-1 of the concatenated sequence can be the second sequence, and bits L to L+L1-1 of the concatenated sequence can be the fourth sequence; or, bits 0 to L1-1 of the concatenated sequence can be the fourth sequence, and bits L1 to L+L1-1 of the concatenated sequence can be the second sequence.

[0195] Optionally, the sum of the lengths of the first sequence and the fourth sequence can be K, in which case the first and fourth sequences only carry the payload bit sequence; or, the sum of the lengths of the first and fourth sequences can be greater than K, in which case the first and fourth sequences carry the payload bit sequence, and at least one sequence in the first and fourth sequences carries a check bit.

[0196] Understandably, the transmitting device can pre-encode a portion of the payload bits in the payload bit sequence to obtain a second sequence; then, it can perform channel coding on the second sequence and a fourth sequence (the fourth sequence being another portion of the payload bits in the payload bit sequence, for example, the fourth sequence could be the remaining payload bits in the payload bit sequence excluding the payload bits corresponding to the first sequence) to obtain a coded bit sequence. Compared to pre-coding all payload bits in the payload bit sequence, this application can pre-code only a portion of the payload bits in the payload bit sequence, which can reduce the number of payload bits that need to be pre-coded, reduce the complexity of pre-coding, and simplify implementation.

[0197] Step 803: The transmitting device outputs the encoded bit sequence; correspondingly, the receiving device receives the decoding information from the transmitting device.

[0198] Optionally, the transmitting device can perform rate matching on the encoded bit sequence to obtain a rate-matched bit sequence.

[0199] Optionally, the transmitting device can interleave the rate-matched bit sequence to obtain an interleaved bit sequence, and then modulate the interleaved bit sequence to obtain a modulated symbol sequence; or, the transmitting device can modulate the rate-matched bit sequence to obtain a modulated symbol sequence.

[0200] It is understandable that the modulation symbol sequence sent by the transmitting device to the receiving device may be affected by noise and other interference when transmitted through the channel. The demodulated information received by the receiving device is a modulation symbol sequence affected by noise and other interference.

[0201] Optionally, the receiving device can demodulate the modulation symbol sequence to obtain the information to be decoded.

[0202] The length of the payload bit sequence corresponding to the information to be decoded can be K. That is, the bits included in the information to be decoded are the payload bit sequence transmitted through the channel.

[0203] Step 804: The receiving device performs channel decoding based on the information to be decoded, and obtains a fifth sequence of length L.

[0204] Optionally, if the transmitting device interleaves the rate-matched bit sequence, the receiving device can deinterleave the information to be decoded to obtain a deinterleaved bit sequence, and then de-rate-match the deinterleaved bit sequence to obtain a de-rate-matched bit sequence; otherwise, the receiving device can de-rate-match the information to be decoded to obtain a de-rate-matched bit sequence.

[0205] Optionally, the receiving device can decode the rate-matched bit sequence to obtain a fifth sequence, which corresponds to the second sequence mentioned above (i.e., the fifth sequence can be understood as the second sequence after channel transmission); or, the receiving device can decode the information to be decoded to obtain a fifth sequence and a seventh sequence, the seventh sequence carrying payload bits other than the payload bits corresponding to the first sequence in the payload bit sequence, which corresponds to the fourth sequence mentioned above (i.e., the seventh sequence can be understood as the fourth sequence after channel transmission).

[0206] Wherein, L can be referred to the description of L in step 801 above, and will not be repeated here.

[0207] Step 805: The receiving device performs de-precoding on the fifth sequence to obtain a target sequence of length P.

[0208] Here, the target sequence corresponds to the first sequence, that is, the target sequence can be understood as the first sequence transmitted through the channel. P can be referred to the description of P in step 801 above, and will not be repeated here.

[0209] Deprecoding includes polarization decoding. Optionally, when L equals N, deprecoding may include polarization decoding; when L is less than N, deprecoding may include polarization decoding and rate matching.

[0210] Specifically, the target sequence is obtained by polar decoding of the sixth sequence of length N based on the first position set; or it can be described as follows: the receiving device can obtain the target sequence by polar decoding of the sixth sequence of length N based on the first position set. The sixth sequence corresponds to the third sequence mentioned above.

[0211] The sixth sequence is determined based on the fifth sequence. Optionally, when L equals N, the sixth sequence is the fifth sequence; when L is less than N, the sixth sequence may include the fifth sequence and the rate matching bit.

[0212] Understandably, the receiving device can perform polarization decoding on the sixth sequence to obtain a decoded bit sequence, and the bits located in the first position set of the decoded bit sequence can be used as the target sequence. In other words, the first position set is used to carry the target sequence.

[0213] In this first set of positions, at least one position is determined based on the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to that position, and the at least one position is used to carry at least one bit in the first sequence. The method by which the receiving device determines the first set of positions can be referred to the description of the sending device determining the first set of positions in this application, and will not be repeated here.

[0214] based on Figure 8 The encoding and decoding methods shown differ from those that determine the first position set based on the preset reliability of N positions (i.e., the first position set may include the P least reliable positions among the N positions). In this application, at least one position in the first position set can be determined based on the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position. That is, the transmitting device can determine the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position among the N positions online (or in real time) to determine the actual reliability of the at least one position. Thus, at least one position with low actual reliability can be determined as the first position set, which can improve the accuracy of determining the first position set. In addition, the transmitting device can map the first sequence to a sequence that follows a specific distribution (i.e., the second sequence) based on the determined first position set, which can better improve the shaping effect and thus save the transmitting power of the transmitting device.

[0215] based on Figure 8 The encoding and decoding methods described herein allow the transmitting device to pre-encode the first sequence to obtain the second sequence. This application provides two possible designs for determining the second sequence: in the first possible design, pre-coding may include polar coding; in the second possible design, pre-coding may include polar coding and rate matching.

[0216] The first possible design is described in detail below:

[0217] The transmitting device can perform polar coding on the first sequence based on the first position set to obtain a third sequence of length N.

[0218] In the first possible design, L can be N, and the third sequence is the second sequence (or it can be described as the second sequence including all bits in the third sequence). Furthermore, the first position set can include P positions from the second position set, and the second position set can include N positions. That is, the transmitting device can perform polar coding on the first sequence based on the first position set to obtain a second sequence of length P (where P = N).

[0219] Specifically, the transmitting device can map the first sequence to P positions included in the first position set, and map the eighth sequence of length (LP) to (LP) positions in the second position set excluding the first position set, to obtain a bit sequence of length N to be encoded; further, the transmitting device can perform polar coding on the bit sequence to be encoded to obtain a third sequence of length N (N=P), which is the second sequence.

[0220] Optionally, the eighth sequence can be predefined (or can be described as, the eighth sequence can be predefined by the protocol), or the eighth sequence can be configured by the network device, or the eighth sequence can be associated with the decoding result obtained by successive cancellation (SC) decoding of a preset sequence of length N.

[0221] In one example, taking the preset sequence as a predefined one, the bit value of any bit in the preset sequence of length N can be "1"; or, the bit value of any bit in the preset sequence of length N can be "0".

[0222] In another example, taking the association of the eighth sequence with the decoding result obtained by SC decoding of a preset sequence of length N as an example, during the SC decoding process, the first decoded bit can be determined by progressively calculating the magnitude of the LLR corresponding to each bit in the preset sequence. For example, if the magnitude of the LLR > 0, the bit value of the first decoded bit can be determined to be 0; if the magnitude of the LLR < 0, the bit value of the first decoded bit can be determined to be 1. Then, the eighth sequence can include bits located at (LP) positions in the second position set other than the first position set in the first decoded bit. For example, taking L as 4 and P as 3, the length of the eighth sequence can be 1. Assuming that (LP) = 1 position is the 3rd position in N = 4 positions, then the 3rd bit in the first decoded bit can be taken as the eighth sequence. Alternatively, taking L as 16 and P as 10 as an example, the length of the eighth sequence can be 6. Assuming that (LP) = 6 positions are the 10th to 15th positions in N = 16 positions, then the 10th to 15th bits in the first decoded bit sequence can be used as the eighth sequence (or it can be understood that the eighth sequence can include the 10th to 15th bits in the first decoded bit sequence).

[0223] If the transmitting device determines the second sequence based on the first possible design, the receiving device can correspondingly perform deprecoding on the fifth sequence. Deprecoding may include polar decoding; that is, the receiving device can perform polar decoding on a sixth sequence of length N based on the first position set to obtain a target sequence of length P. The sixth sequence can be determined based on the fifth sequence.

[0224] Where L and N are the same, the sixth sequence is the fifth sequence. That is to say, the receiving device can perform polarization decoding on the fifth sequence of length P (where P = N) based on the first position set to obtain the target sequence of length P.

[0225] The determination of the first location set can be referred to the description of the determination of the first location set by the transmitting device in the first possible design above, and will not be repeated here.

[0226] Specifically, the receiving device can perform polarization decoding on the fifth sequence. For example, the receiving device can perform polarization decoding on the fifth sequence based on SC to obtain N second decoded bits. Then, the bits located in the positions included in the first position set among the N second decoded bits can be used as the target sequence (or it can be described as the target sequence including the bits located in the positions included in the first position set among the N second decoded bits).

[0227] Based on the first possible design, when L is N, the transmitting device can skip rate matching for the third sequence. In this case, the third sequence is the same as the second sequence, and the first position set can include P positions out of N positions, which simplifies the implementation. Similarly, the receiving device can skip rate matching for the fifth sequence. In this case, the fifth sequence is the same as the sixth sequence, and the first position set can include P positions out of N positions, which also simplifies the implementation.

[0228] In the second possible design, precoding may include polar coding and rate matching. That is, the transmitting device can perform polar coding on a first sequence of length P based on a first position set to obtain a third sequence of length N; further, the transmitting device can perform rate matching on the third sequence to obtain a second sequence of length L.

[0229] In the second possible design, L is less than N, and the second sequence can include L bits from the third sequence excluding the rate-matching bits. In this case, the number of rate-matching bits can be (NL). Additionally, the first position set can include P positions from the second position set, and the second position set can include N positions excluding the rate-matching bit positions.

[0230] Specifically, the transmitting device can map the first sequence to P positions in the first position set, map the eighth sequence of length (LP) to (LP) positions in the second position set excluding the first position set, and map (NL) rate-matching bits to (NL) rate-matching bit positions to obtain a bit sequence of length N to be encoded; further, the transmitting device can perform polar coding on the bit sequence to be encoded to obtain a third sequence of length N; further, the transmitting device performs rate matching on the third sequence to obtain a second sequence of length L.

[0231] The eighth sequence can be described with reference to the description of the eighth sequence in the first possible design above, and will not be repeated here.

[0232] The rate matching bit position can be understood as the location used to carry the rate matching bit, which does not participate in channel coding. For example, the bit value of the rate matching bit can be set to "0", or no bit can be placed at the rate matching bit position.

[0233] Optionally, the rate matching bits can be determined according to the rate matching method or the rate matching principle. For example, rate matching can be performed by puncturing from front to back, that is, puncturing (NL) bits from front to back (these (NL) bits from front to back are the rate matching bits); or, rate matching can be performed by shortening from back to front, that is, shortening (NL) bits from back to front (these (NL) bits from back to front are the rate matching bits).

[0234] If the transmitting device determines the second sequence based on the second possible design, the receiving device can correspondingly perform deprecoding on the fifth sequence. Deprecoding can include polarization decoding and rate matching; that is, the receiving device can perform rate matching on the fifth sequence of length L to obtain a sixth sequence of length N; then, it can perform polarization decoding on the sixth sequence of length N based on the first position set to obtain the target sequence of length P.

[0235] Where N is greater than L, the sixth sequence may include the fifth sequence and (NL) rate-matching bits. The determination of the first position set is described in the second possible design above, and will not be repeated here.

[0236] Based on the second possible design, when L is less than N, the transmitting device can perform rate matching on the third sequence. In this case, the second sequence can include bits from the third sequence other than the rate-matching bits. Correspondingly, the first position set can include P positions from N positions other than the rate-matching bit positions (i.e., the rate-matching bit positions can be avoided when determining the P positions). This ensures that all bits in the second sequence are not rate-matching bits, thus participating in channel coding and improving communication reliability. Similarly, the receiving device can de-rate-match the fifth sequence. In this case, the sixth sequence includes the fifth sequence and the rate-matching bits. Correspondingly, the first position set can include P positions from N positions other than the rate-matching bit positions (i.e., the rate-matching bit positions can be avoided when determining the P positions), further improving communication reliability.

[0237] Based on the two possible designs described above, the transmitting device can precode the first sequence according to the first position set to obtain the second sequence. Specifically, at least one position in the first position set can be determined based on the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to that at least one position.

[0238] If the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position is consistent with the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to each of the N positions, then the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to each of the N positions can be associated with some or all of the bits in the first sequence.

[0239] Specifically, the transmitting device can perform SC decoding on a preset sequence of length N. That is, the transmitting device can use the preset sequence as the input for SC decoding. The amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the nth position can be determined based on the amplitude of the nth LLR output by SC decoding and the bit values of some or all bits in the first sequence, where n = 1, 2, ..., N. The preset sequence can be a set of preset LLR sequences, for example, the preset sequence can be a sequence of all 1s.

[0240] For example, such as Figure 9 As shown, taking N=4 as an example, Figure 9 The eight computation nodes can be understood as part of the SC decoding process. These eight nodes can include four f nodes and four g nodes. The calculation of an f node requires two LLR magnitudes to the right of the f node, and the calculation of a g node requires two LLR magnitudes to the right of the g node and one "partial sum" above the g node. The output can only be calculated after all inputs have been calculated. The preset sequence can be obtained from... Figure 9 The input on the right can be decoded by SC to obtain the amplitude of N = 4 LLRs. The amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the nth position is related to the "partial sum". The "partial sum" corresponding to the nth position is associated with some or all of the bits in the first sequence.

[0241] It is understandable that the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the N positions is determined in ascending order of position number. That is, the transmitting device can sequentially determine the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the 0th position, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the 1st position, ..., the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the (N-1)th position among the N positions.

[0242] Understandably, the transmitting device can determine the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position based on some or all of the bits in the first sequence. Since the first sequence differs in different communication scenarios, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position can be determined for different communication scenarios, which can improve the accuracy of determining the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position. In addition, the transmitting device can determine a first set of positions based on the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position, and map the first sequence to a sequence following a specific distribution (i.e., a second sequence) based on the determined first set of positions, which can better improve the shaping effect and thus save the transmitting power of the transmitting device.

[0243] For the receiving device, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position can be associated with some or all of the bits in the fifth sequence. Correspondingly, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to each of the N positions can be associated with some or all of the bits in the fifth sequence. That is, the receiving device can determine the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position based on some or all of the bits in the fifth sequence. Since the fifth sequence differs in different communication scenarios, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position can be determined for different communication scenarios, improving the accuracy of determining the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to at least one position. Furthermore, the receiving device can determine a first set of positions based on the amplitude of the LLR, perform polarization decoding on the fifth sequence, and determine the bits in the decoded bit sequence located at positions included in the first set of positions as the target sequence. This simplifies implementation and improves communication reliability.

[0244] Optionally, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to each position in at least one location may be less than or equal to the first threshold, or it may be replaced by the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to each position in at least one location being less than the first threshold.

[0245] For example, taking at least A positions as the number of positions, and L=N as an example, the first set of positions may include a first subset and a second subset. The first subset may include the least reliable (PA) positions in the second set of positions. The second subset may include A positions in the third set of positions whose LLR amplitude is less than or equal to the first threshold. The third set of positions may include X1 least reliable positions in the second set of positions. The first subset, second subset, and third set of positions can all be referred to in the following descriptions of the first subset, second subset, and third set of positions, and will not be repeated here.

[0246] For example, if the transmitting device determines that the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the 0th position in the third position set is less than or equal to the first threshold, it can determine that the second subset includes the 0th position in the third position set; otherwise, the transmitting device can determine whether the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the 1st position in the third position set is less than or equal to the first threshold.

[0247] Similarly, if the transmitting device determines that the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the first position in the third position set is less than or equal to the first threshold, it can determine that the second subset includes the first position in the third position set; otherwise, the transmitting device can determine whether the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the second position in the third position set is less than or equal to the first threshold.

[0248] Similarly, if the transmitting device determines that the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the second position in the third position set is less than or equal to the first threshold, it can determine that the second subset includes the second position in the third position set; otherwise, the transmitting device can continue to determine whether the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the next position is less than or equal to the first threshold based on the above process, until P positions where the amplitude of the LLR is less than or equal to the first threshold are determined.

[0249] It is understandable that the 0th position in the third position set is the position with the smallest index in the third position set, and the (X1-1)th position in the third position set is the position with the largest index in the third position set. That is, the index of the 0th position in the third position set < the index of the 1st position < the index of the 2nd position < ... < the index of the (X1-1)th position.

[0250] In addition, if A positions have been determined in the third position set, and there are one or more positions in the third position set other than the A positions whose corresponding LLR amplitude is less than or equal to the first threshold (the index of each of the one or more positions is greater than the index of each of the A positions), then the one or more positions will still not be selected as the second subset, so as to ensure that the number of positions included in the second subset is X.

[0251] Furthermore, if the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to positions 0 to (X1-A-1) in the third position set is greater than the first threshold, even if the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to one or more positions from (X1-A) to (X1-1) in the third position set is greater than the first threshold, the positions from (X1-A) to (X1-1) in the third position set can be directly determined as the second subset; for example, taking X1 as 5 and A as 2, assuming that the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to positions 0 to 2 in the third position set is greater than the first threshold, then the second subset may include the third and fourth positions in the third position set. Alternatively, if the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to position A1 among positions 0 to (X1-(A-A1)-1) in the third position set is less than or equal to the first threshold (this A1 position is included in the second subset), even if the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to one or more positions among positions (X1-(A-A1)) to (X1-1) in the third position set is greater than the first threshold, the second subset can directly include positions (X1-(A-A1)) to (X1-1) in the third position set to ensure that the number of positions included in the second subset is A. For example, taking X1 as 5 and A as 2, assuming the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to position 1 among positions 0 to 3 in the third position set is less than or equal to the first threshold, then the second subset can include positions 1 and 4 in the third position set. Here, A1 is a positive integer less than A.

[0252] It is understood that the above method of determining at least one position can be applied to any embodiment of determining at least one position in this application. For example, the third position set can be replaced by the second position set (or the fourth position set), and A positions can be replaced by P positions, which will not be elaborated further.

[0253] It is understood that the above example only applies to the case where at least one position has P positions and L is N. The method for determining at least one position described above can also be applied to the case where at least one position has P positions and L is less than N; or it can also be applied to the case where at least one position has A positions and L is less than N; or it can also be applied to the case where at least one position has A positions and L = N. This application will not describe them one by one. Here, A is a positive integer, and the specific A can be referred to in the description of the second subset below, which will not be repeated here.

[0254] If the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to each position in at least one position is less than or equal to the first threshold, the actual reliability of the at least one position is low. This can make the actual reliability of at least one position included in the first position set low. The transmitting device can map the first sequence to a sequence that follows a specific distribution (i.e., the second sequence) based on the determined first position set, which can better improve the shaping effect and thus save the transmitting power of the transmitting device.

[0255] Optionally, the first threshold can be predefined by the protocol (or can be described as, the first threshold can be predefined); or, the first threshold can be configured by the network device; or, the first threshold can be associated with P / L.

[0256] Understandably, when the first threshold is predefined by the protocol, the sending device can directly determine the first threshold, reducing its workload and simplifying implementation. When the first threshold is configured by the network device, the network device can determine the first threshold that meets communication requirements based on the actual communication scenario, improving communication performance and the effectiveness of information exchange between the sending and receiving devices. When the first threshold can be associated with the P / L (Protocol / Listing Limit), the sending device can determine the first threshold based on the P / L, reducing transmission overhead and improving communication performance.

[0257] The first threshold can be associated with P / L. Optionally, the first threshold can be positively correlated with P / L. That is, when P is large, the first position set includes a large number of positions, and a larger first threshold can identify more positions where the LLR amplitude is less than or equal to the first threshold, thus improving the shaping effect. When P is small, the first position set includes a small number of positions, and a smaller first threshold can identify fewer positions where the LLR amplitude is less than or equal to the first threshold, thus reducing implementation complexity. This application provides two possible implementations:

[0258] In the first possible implementation, the P / L value can be divided into C first intervals, and each of the C first intervals corresponds to a first threshold. Specifically, the C first intervals can correspond to C first thresholds. The c1th first threshold corresponding to the c1th first interval is less than the c2th first threshold corresponding to the c2th first interval, where c1 is a positive integer less than or equal to C, c2 is a positive integer less than or equal to C, and c1 is less than c2. P / L is located in one of the C first intervals.

[0259] The C first intervals can be continuous or discontinuous, without restriction. Furthermore, the maximum value corresponding to the c1th first interval is less than the minimum value corresponding to the c2th first interval.

[0260] For example, there are C first intervals, such as first interval 1, first interval 2, first interval 3, ..., first interval C. Assume that the first threshold corresponding to first interval 1 is first threshold 1, the first threshold corresponding to first interval 2 is first threshold 2, the first threshold corresponding to first interval 3 is first threshold 3, ..., the first threshold corresponding to first interval C is first threshold C. Then, first threshold 1 < first threshold 2 < first threshold 3 < ... < first threshold C. If P / L is located in the first interval 1, the first threshold can be determined as the first threshold 1, that is, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to each position in at least one location can be less than or equal to the first threshold 1; or, if P / L is located in the first interval 2, the first threshold can be determined as the first threshold 2, that is, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to each position in at least one location can be less than or equal to the first threshold 2; if P / L is located in the first interval 3, the first threshold can be determined as the first threshold 3, that is, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to each position in at least one location can be less than or equal to the first threshold 3; ...; if P / L is located in the first interval C, the first threshold can be determined as the first threshold C, that is, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to each position in at least one location can be less than or equal to the first threshold C.

[0261] Based on the first possible implementation, the value of P / L can be divided into C first intervals, each first interval corresponding to a first threshold. The sending device can determine the first threshold corresponding to the first interval based on the first interval where P / L is located, which can reduce the implementation complexity.

[0262] In the second possible implementation, a first threshold can be determined for any P / L value. Specifically, D P / L values correspond to D first thresholds. The d1-th first threshold corresponding to the d1-th P / L among the D P / L values is less than the d2-th first threshold corresponding to the d2-th P / L among the D P / L values, where d1 is a positive integer less than or equal to D, d2 is a positive integer less than or equal to D, and d1 is less than d2.

[0263] The D P / L values can be consecutive or discontinuous, without restriction. Additionally, the d1-th P / L value is less than the d2-th P / L value.

[0264] For example, let the first threshold corresponding to F1 be the first threshold 1, the first threshold corresponding to F2 be the first threshold 2, the first threshold corresponding to F3 be the first threshold 3, ..., F D Taking the first threshold D as an example, F1 <F2<F3<…<F DThen, the first threshold 1 < the first threshold 2 < the first threshold 3 < ... < the first threshold C. If P / L is F1, the first threshold can be determined to be the first threshold 1, that is, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to each position in at least one location can be less than or equal to the first threshold 1; or, if P / L is F2, the first threshold can be determined to be the first threshold 2, that is, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to each position in at least one location can be less than or equal to the first threshold 2; or, if P / L is F3, the first threshold can be determined to be the first threshold 3, that is, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to each position in at least one location can be less than or equal to the first threshold 3; ...; or, if P / L is F D The first threshold can be determined as the first threshold D, that is, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to each position in at least one position can be less than or equal to the first threshold D.

[0265] Based on the second possible implementation, a first threshold can be determined for each P / L, which can improve the accuracy of the determination of the first threshold.

[0266] Based on the above two implementations, the transmitting device can determine the first threshold based on the P / L ratio, and then determine at least one position in the second position set whose LLR threshold is less than or equal to the first threshold as the first position set. This application provides two possible designs for determining the first position set. In the first possible design, at least one position can be A positions, where A is a positive integer less than P. That is, the first position set can include a first subset and a second subset, and the second subset can include A positions. In the second possible design, at least one position can be P positions, that is, any position in the first position set can be determined based on the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to that position.

[0267] The first possible design is described in detail below:

[0268] The first set of positions may include a first subset and a second subset. The first subset may include the least reliable (PA) positions in the second set of positions. The second subset may include A positions, and each of the A positions is determined according to the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to that position.

[0269] This application provides two possible implementations for determining the second subset:

[0270] In a first possible implementation, the second subset may include A locations in the second location set other than the first subset where the magnitude of the LLR is less than or equal to the first threshold. The first threshold can be referred to in the description of the first threshold above, and will not be repeated here.

[0271] For example, the transmitting device can determine A positions in the second position set other than the first subset, in ascending order of position number, where the amplitude of LLR is less than or equal to the first threshold.

[0272] For example, if the transmitting device determines that the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the 0th position in the second location set (excluding the first subset) is less than or equal to the first threshold, it can determine that the second subset includes the 0th position in the second location set (excluding the first subset); otherwise, the transmitting device can determine whether the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the 1st position in the second location set (excluding the first subset) is less than or equal to the first threshold.

[0273] Similarly, if the transmitting device determines that the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the first position in the second location set (excluding the first subset) is less than or equal to the first threshold, it can determine that the second subset includes the first position in the second location set (excluding the first subset); otherwise, the transmitting device can determine whether the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the second position in the second location set (excluding the first subset) is less than or equal to the first threshold.

[0274] Similarly, if the transmitting device determines that the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the second position in the second position set (excluding the first subset) is less than or equal to the first threshold, it can determine that the second subset includes the second position in the second position set (excluding the first subset); otherwise, the transmitting device can continue to determine whether the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the next position is less than or equal to the first threshold based on the above process, until A positions with amplitudes of LLR less than or equal to the first threshold are determined.

[0275] It is understandable that the 0th position in the second position set is the position with the smallest index in the second position set, that is, the index of the 0th position in the second position set < the index of the 1st position < the index of the 2nd position < ...

[0276] Optionally, A can be predefined; or, the ratio of A to P can be a preset value.

[0277] In one example, A can be 1; or, A can be 2; or, A can be 4.

[0278] In another example, the preset value can be 1 / 4, then A can be P / 4; or the preset value can be 1 / 2, then A can be P / 2; or the preset value can be 1 / 3, then A can be P / 3; or the preset value can be 3 / 16, then A can be (3*P) / 16.

[0279] Understandably, A can be predefined by the protocol, allowing the sending device to directly determine A. This reduces the workload of the sending device, lowers power consumption, and reduces implementation complexity. Alternatively, the ratio of A to P can be a preset value, allowing A to be determined based on P and the preset value. When P is large, A can be large, increasing the flexibility and versatility in determining the second subset; when P is small, A can be small, reducing implementation complexity.

[0280] Optionally, the transmitting device can determine the number of locations included in the second subset by determining A, and then determine the number of locations included in the first subset (i.e., (PA)).

[0281] For example, with P = 3, L = 4, N = 4, and A = 1, the second position set can be {0 1 2 3}. The first subset can be determined as the two least reliable (PA) positions in the second position set, i.e., the first subset can be {0 1}. Furthermore, the second subset can be determined as the A = 1 positions in the second position set whose LLR amplitude is less than or equal to the first threshold, excluding the first subset (i.e., {2 3}). Assuming that the LLR amplitude corresponding to the second position is less than or equal to the first threshold, the second subset can be determined as {2}, and the first position set can be {0 1 2}. Alternatively, assuming that the LLR amplitude corresponding to the third position is less than or equal to the first threshold, the second subset can be determined as {3}, and the first position set can be {0 1 3}.

[0282] Based on the first possible implementation, the transmitting device can determine the second subset from the locations other than the first subset in the second location set, such that the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to any location in the second subset is less than or equal to the first threshold. Since there are a large number of locations other than the first subset in the second location set, the flexibility of determining the second subset can be improved.

[0283] In the second possible implementation, the second subset may include A positions in the third position set where the amplitude of LLR is less than or equal to the first threshold, and the third position set may include X1 positions in the second position set that are the least reliable positions other than the first subset, where X1 is a positive integer greater than or equal to A.

[0284] For example, the transmitting device can determine A positions in the third position set in ascending order of position number where the amplitude of the LLR is less than or equal to the first threshold.

[0285] For example, if the transmitting device determines that the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the 0th position in the third position set is less than or equal to the first threshold, it can determine that the second subset includes the 0th position in the third position set; otherwise, the transmitting device can determine whether the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the 1st position in the third position set is less than or equal to the first threshold.

[0286] Similarly, if the transmitting device determines that the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the first position in the third position set is less than or equal to the first threshold, it can determine that the second subset includes the first position in the third position set; otherwise, the transmitting device can determine whether the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the second position in the third position set is less than or equal to the first threshold.

[0287] Similarly, if the transmitting device determines that the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the second position in the third position set is less than or equal to the first threshold, it can determine that the second subset includes the second position in the third position set; otherwise, the transmitting device can continue to determine whether the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the next position is less than or equal to the first threshold based on the above process, until the positions where the amplitude of A LLRs is less than or equal to the first threshold are determined.

[0288] It is understandable that the 0th position in the third position set is the position with the smallest index in the third position set, and the (X1-1)th position in the third position set is the position with the largest index in the third position set. That is, the index of the 0th position in the third position set < the index of the 1st position < the index of the 2nd position < ... < the index of the (X1-1)th position.

[0289] For example, the second set of positions can be as follows: Figure 10 As shown, the second set of positions may include P positions, and the third set of positions may include the X1 least reliable positions from the second set excluding the first subset. Specifically, it can be as follows: Figure 10 The third set of positions shown can be further subdivided into two subsets, which may include A positions from the third set of positions.

[0290] Wherein, X1 can be predefined (or can be described as X1 being predefined by the protocol); or, X1 can be configured by the network device; or, X1 can be determined according to one or more of the following: P, L, or A.

[0291] In one example, X1 can be determined based on A and L. That is, X1 can be the sum of A and a first value, where the first value is t times L, and t is predefined, or t can be configured by the network device. For example, X1 can satisfy the following formula: X1 = A + t * L.

[0292] In another example, X1 can be determined based on P and A, that is, X1 can be the difference between M times P and (PA), where M can be greater than 1. For example, X1 can satisfy the following formula: X1 = P * M - (PA).

[0293] Based on the two examples above, X1 can be determined according to one or more of the following: P, L, or A, such that the value of X1 is greater than or equal to A, ensuring that the determined second subset can include A positions, which can improve communication performance.

[0294] Where M can be predefined (or can be described as M being predefined by the protocol); or M can be configured by the network device; or M can be associated with P / L.

[0295] For example, M can be 1.1, or M can be 1.2; or M can be 1.15.

[0296] Understandably, when M is a predefined protocol, the sending device can directly determine M, reducing its workload and simplifying implementation. When M is configured by the network device, the network device can determine the first threshold to meet communication requirements based on the actual communication scenario, improving communication performance and the effectiveness of information exchange between the sending and receiving devices. When M is associated with P / L, the sending device can determine M based on P / L, reducing transmission overhead and improving communication performance.

[0297] For M to be associated with P / L, and M to be positively correlated with P / L, when P is small, the value of M can be small, which can make the value of X1 small, allowing the second subset to be determined from fewer positions, thus simplifying the implementation. When P is large, the value of M can be large, which can make the value of X1 large, allowing the second subset to be determined from more positions, thus improving the flexibility and diversity of the determination of the second subset. This application provides two examples for determining M:

[0298] In the first example, Y second intervals can be determined based on the value of Y, and each of the Y second intervals corresponds to an M. That is, Y second intervals correspond to Y M, and the i-th second interval among the Y second intervals corresponds to an M. i M corresponding to the j-th second interval among the Y second intervals j , i is a positive integer less than or equal to Y, j is a positive integer less than or equal to Y, i is less than j, and P / L is located in one of the Y second intervals.

[0299] The Y second intervals can be continuous or discontinuous, without restriction. Furthermore, the maximum value corresponding to the i-th second interval can be less than the minimum value corresponding to the j-th second interval.

[0300] For example, there are Y second intervals, such as second interval 1, second interval 2, second interval 3, ..., second interval Y. Assuming that M corresponding to second interval 1 is M1, M corresponding to second interval 2 is M2, M corresponding to second interval 3 is M3, ..., and M corresponding to second interval Y is MY, then M1<M2<M3<...<MY. If P / L falls within second interval 1, M can be determined as M1; or if P / L falls within second interval 2, M can be determined as M2; if P / L falls within second interval 3, M can be determined as M3; ...; if P / L falls within second interval Y, M can be determined as MY.

[0301] Based on the first example, the value of P / L can be divided into Y second intervals, each corresponding to one M. The transmitting end device can determine the M corresponding to the second interval based on the second interval where P / L is located, which can reduce implementation complexity.

[0302] In the second example, one M can be determined for any value of P / L, that is, Z P / L values correspond to Z M values, and the M corresponding to the u-th P / L among the Z P / L values u is less than the M corresponding to the v-th P / L among the Z P / L values v , where u is a positive integer less than or equal to Z, v is a positive integer less than or equal to Z, and u is less than v.

[0303] The Z P / L values may be consecutive or non-consecutive, which is not limited. In addition, the u-th P / L may be less than the v-th P / L.

[0304] For example, taking that M corresponding to G1 is M1, M corresponding to G2 is M2, M corresponding to G3 is M3, ..., G Z whose corresponding M is MZ as an example, G1<G2<G3<...<G Z , then M1<M2<M3<...<MZ. If P / L is G1, M may be M1; or if P / L is G2, M may be M2; or if P / L is G3, M may be M3; ...; or if P / L is G Z , M may be MZ.

[0305] Based on the second example, the transmitting end device can determine one M for each P / L, which can improve the accuracy of determining M.

[0306] Based on the second possible implementation, the transmitting end device can determine the second subset in the third position set, such that the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to any position in the second subset is less than or equal to the first threshold. Since the number of positions included in the third position set is small, the implementation complexity of determining the second subset can be reduced.

[0307] Based on the first possible design, the first location set can include two parts.

[0308] Among the N positions, the amplitude of the LLR at the least reliable (PA) positions is basically less than or equal to the first threshold.

[0309] The second possible design involves at least P positions, meaning that the P positions in the first position set are determined based on the amplitudes of the LLRs corresponding to those P positions. Alternatively, it can be described as any position in the first position set being determined based on the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to that position. This application provides two possible implementations:

[0310] In a first possible implementation, the first location set may include P locations in the second location set whose LLR amplitude is less than or equal to the first threshold.

[0311] The first threshold can be referred to in the above description of the first threshold, and will not be repeated here.

[0312] For example, the transmitting device can determine P positions in the second position set where the amplitude of the LLR is less than or equal to the first threshold, in ascending order of position number.

[0313] For example, if the transmitting device determines that the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the 0th position in the second position set is less than or equal to the first threshold, it can determine that the first position set includes the 0th position in the second position set; otherwise, the transmitting device can determine whether the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the 1st position in the second position set is less than or equal to the first threshold.

[0314] Similarly, if the transmitting device determines that the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the first position in the second position set is less than or equal to the first threshold, it can determine that the first position set includes the first position in the second position set; otherwise, the transmitting device can determine whether the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the second position in the second position set is less than or equal to the first threshold.

[0315] Similarly, if the transmitting device determines that the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the second position in the second position set is less than or equal to the first threshold, it can determine that the first position set includes the second position in the second position set; otherwise, the transmitting device can continue to determine whether the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the next position is less than or equal to the first threshold based on the above process, until P positions with amplitudes of LLR less than or equal to the first threshold are determined.

[0316] It is understandable that the 0th position in the second position set is the position with the smallest index in the second position set, that is, the index of the 0th position in the second position set < the index of the 1st position < the index of the 2nd position < ...

[0317] In the second possible implementation, the first position set may include P positions in the fourth position set where the amplitude of LLR is less than or equal to the first threshold, and the fourth position set may include the X2 least reliable positions in the second position set, where X2 is a positive integer greater than or equal to P.

[0318] For example, the transmitting device can determine P positions in the fourth position set where the amplitude of the LLR is less than or equal to the first threshold, in ascending order of position number.

[0319] For example, if the transmitting device determines that the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the 0th position in the fourth position set is less than or equal to the first threshold, it can determine that the first position set includes the 0th position in the fourth position set; otherwise, the transmitting device can determine whether the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the 1st position in the fourth position set is less than or equal to the first threshold.

[0320] Similarly, if the transmitting device determines that the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the first position in the fourth position set is less than or equal to the first threshold, it can determine that the first position set includes the first position in the fourth position set; otherwise, the transmitting device can determine whether the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the second position in the fourth position set is less than or equal to the first threshold.

[0321] Similarly, if the transmitting device determines that the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the second position in the fourth position set is less than or equal to the first threshold, it can determine that the first position set includes the second position in the fourth position set; otherwise, the transmitting device can continue to determine whether the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the next position is less than or equal to the first threshold based on the above process, until P positions where the amplitude of the LLR is less than or equal to the first threshold are determined.

[0322] It is understandable that the 0th position in the above fourth position set is the position with the smallest index in the fourth position set, and the (X2-1)th position in the fourth position set is the position with the largest index in the fourth position set. That is, the index of the 0th position in the fourth position set < the index of the 1st position < the index of the 2nd position < ... the index of the (X2-1)th position.

[0323] X2 can be predefined (or can be described as X2 being predetermined by the protocol); or X2 can be configured by the network device; or X2 can be determined according to one or more of the following: P or L.

[0324] It is understandable that X2 can be predefined by the protocol, allowing the sending device to directly determine X2, which reduces the workload of the sending device, lowers power consumption, and reduces implementation complexity. X2 can also be configured by the network device, allowing the network device to determine X2 based on the actual communication scenario, improving the efficiency of information exchange between the sending and receiving devices. Alternatively, X2 can be determined based on one or more of the following: L or P, allowing for the determination of X2 that meets the actual communication needs based on the specific communication scenario, improving communication performance, and enhancing the flexibility and versatility of X2 determination.

[0325] In one example, X2 can be determined according to P, that is, X2 can be M times P. For example, X2 can satisfy the following formula: X2 = P * M.

[0326] The description of M above is sufficient and will not be repeated here.

[0327] In another example, X2 can be determined based on L; that is, X2 can be the sum of P and a first value, where the first value can be t times L. For example, X2 can satisfy the following formula: X2 = L * t.

[0328] The term t can be found in the description of t above, and will not be repeated here.

[0329] Based on the two examples above, one or more of the following methods can determine X2: P or L, such that the value of X2 is greater than or equal to P, ensuring that the determined second subset can include P locations, which can improve communication performance.

[0330] Based on the second possible design, all bits in the first position set can be determined according to the amplitude of the LLR. That is, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to the position can be determined in ascending order of the position number in the second position set (or the fourth position set). Positions with LLR amplitudes less than or equal to the first threshold are determined as the first position set. This can ensure that the actual reliability of the positions in the first position set is as low as possible, and can improve the accuracy of determining the first position set. In addition, the transmitting device can map the first sequence to a sequence that follows a specific distribution (i.e., the second sequence) based on the determined first position set, which can better improve the shaping effect and thus save the transmitting power of the transmitting device.

[0331] The two possible designs described above are used as examples of the transmitting device to illustrate the determination of the first location set. The two possible designs described above are also applicable to the receiving device to determine the first location set, and will not be elaborated here.

[0332] Based on the above description of the encoding and decoding methods, this application provides two possible embodiments:

[0333] In a first possible embodiment, taking N = 4, L = 4, P = 3, the first sequence as {1 1 1}, and the first threshold as 1, the precoding can be polar coding. The transmitting device can construct a bit sequence of length N = 4 to be encoded based on the first position set and the first sequence, and perform polar coding on the bit sequence to be encoded to obtain the second sequence.

[0334] Assuming A is 1 and X1 is 2, the first position set can include a first subset (the number of positions in the first subset can be (PA) = 2) and a second subset (the number of positions in the first subset can be A = 1). The N = 4 positions can be arranged according to reliability as {0 1 2 3}. The first subset can be the least reliable (PA) = 2 positions among the N positions, that is, the first subset can be {0 1}. The second subset can be A = 1 positions in the third position set whose LLR amplitude is less than or equal to 1. The third position set can be X1 = 2 positions among the N positions excluding the first subset, that is, the third position set can be {2 3}. By performing SC decoding on the preset sequence {1 1 1 1} of length N = 4, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to any position in the third position set can be determined. Since the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to {2} is 0 (less than 1), the second subset can be {2}. Therefore, the first position set can be {0 1 2}. Therefore, the 0th bit in the bit sequence to be encoded of length N=4 can be the 0th bit of the first sequence, the 1st bit in the bit sequence to be encoded can be the 1st bit of the first sequence, and the 2nd bit in the bit sequence to be encoded can be the 2nd bit of the first sequence.

[0335] Furthermore, since the LLR value corresponding to {3} is -2, the bit corresponding to {3} can be "1". Therefore, the third bit in the bit sequence to be encoded can be "1". The bit sequence to be encoded can be {1 1 1 1}. Then, the second sequence can be {0 00 1}.

[0336] In a second possible embodiment, taking L as 3, N as 4, P as 2, the first sequence as {1 1}, and the first threshold as 1 as an example, precoding can include polar coding and rate matching. Specifically, the transmitting device can construct a bit sequence to be encoded of length N = 4 based on the first position set and the first sequence, and perform polar coding on the bit sequence to be encoded to obtain an encoded bit sequence of length N = 4; furthermore, the transmitting device can perform rate matching on the encoded bit sequence to obtain a second sequence of length L = 3.

[0337] Wherein, assuming A is 1 and X1 is 2, the first set of positions can include a first subset (the number of positions included in the first subset can be (PA) = 1) and a second subset (the number of positions included in the first subset can be A = 1). The N = 4 positions can be arranged according to reliability as {0 1 2 3}. The second set of positions can include L = 3 positions from the N = 4 positions excluding the rate matching bit positions, that is, the second set of positions can be {1 2 3}. The first subset can be the least reliable (PA) = 1 position in the second position set, i.e., the first subset can be {1}. The second subset can be A = 1 positions in the third position set where the LLR amplitude is less than or equal to 1. The third position set can be X1 = 2 positions in the second position set excluding the first subset, i.e., the third position set can be {2 3}. By performing SC decoding on the preset LLR sequence {0 1 1 1} of length N = 4, the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to any position in the third position set can be determined. Since the amplitude of the LLR corresponding to {2} is 0 (less than 1), the second subset can be {2}. Therefore, the first position set can be {1 2}. Thus, the 0th bit in the bit sequence to be encoded of length N = 4 can be "0", the 1st bit in the bit sequence to be encoded can be the 0th bit of the first sequence, and the 2nd bit in the bit sequence to be encoded can be the 1st bit of the first sequence.

[0338] Furthermore, since the LLR value corresponding to {3} is -1, the bit corresponding to {3} can be "1". Therefore, the third bit in the bit sequence to be encoded can be "1". The bit sequence to be encoded can be {0 1 1 1}. Then, the encoded bit sequence can be {0 0 0 1}. The second sequence can include bits in the encoded bit sequence other than the rate matching bit, that is, the second sequence can be {0 0 1}.
