Description

Technical Field

[0001] Various exemplary embodiments generally relate to downlink control information for scheduling physical downlink shared channels. Background Technology

[0002] In fifth-generation mobile communication systems (5G) and future communication systems, downlink control channels and downlink data channels can be used, such as the physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) and the physical downlink charred channel (PDSCH). For these channels, scheduling and transmission schemes such as cross-slot scheduling or multi-slot scheduling can be employed. In the cross-slot scheduling scheme, the PDCCH transmits scheduling information for decoding the PDSCH and is configured in the slot preceding the associated PDSCH slot. In the multi-slot scheduling scheme, the PDSCH spans multiple consecutive or non-consecutive slots, and the associated PDCCH is configured in the first PDSCH slot or a slot preceding it. Some radio resources are configured and reserved for specific purposes; such resources are called reserved resources. For example, the control resource set (CORESET) resource configured with a search space can be reserved for transmitting physical downlink control channel transmissions. Reserved resources may need to be configured at high density in the time domain. For example, in low-power wide-area (LPWA) scenarios, this may be necessary to support repeated transmissions of the PDCCH for coverage enhancement. Alternatively, in scenarios requiring ultra-reliable low-latency communications (URLLC) or hyper-reliable low-latency communications (HRLLC), high-density configuration of reserved resources in the time domain may be required to achieve extremely low latency. For user equipment (UE) scheduled to receive the PDCCH and PDSCH, the reserved resources may be known or unknown. Summary of the Invention

[0028] The following embodiments are exemplary. Although the specification refers to "a," "an," or "some" embodiments in various places, this does not necessarily mean that each reference refers to the same embodiment, or that a specific feature applies only to a single embodiment. Individual features of different embodiments may also be combined to provide other embodiments. Moreover, when specific features, structures, or characteristics are described in conjunction with embodiments, whether explicitly described or not, such features, structures, or characteristics will be applied to other embodiments to the extent that those skilled in the art possess the knowledge to do so. It should be understood that although terms such as "first" and "second" may be used to describe various elements, these elements should not be limited by these terms. These terms are merely used to distinguish one element from another.

[0029] In this disclosure, the terms "at least one of A or B", "at least one of A and B", and "A and / or B" mean [A], [B], or [A and B]. In this disclosure, "A, B, and / or C" means [A], [B], [C], [A and B], [A and C], [B and C], or [A, B, and C].

[0030] The described embodiments can be implemented in communication networks, such as any of the following radio access technologies (RATs): Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX), Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM, 2G), GSM EDGE Radio Access Network (GERAN), General Packet Radio Service (GRPS), Universal Mobile Telecommunication System (UMTS, 3G) based on Wideband-code Division Multiple Access (W-CDMA), High-speed Packet Access (HSPA), Long Term Evolution (LTE), LTE-Advanced, Enhanced LTE (eLTE), 5G (also known as New Radio, NR), or any future RAT such as 6G. Furthermore, communication within the communication network can utilize any suitable wireless communication technology, including but not limited to: Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA), Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA), Frequency Division Duplex (FDD), Time Division Duplex (TDD), Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO), Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple (OFDM), and / or Discrete Fourier Transform Spread OFDM (DFT-s-OFDM).

[0031] As used herein, the term "network device" or "network node" refers to a node in a communication network through which user equipment can access the network, and / or through which the node can control wireless communication and manage wireless resources within a cell. A network node or network device can refer to a base station (BS), access point (AP), or access node. Depending on the technology used, a network device can be, for example, a Node B (or NB), an evolved Node B (eNode B or eNB), an NR NB (also known as a next-generation Node B, gNB), a Remote Radio Unit (RRU), a radio head (RH), a remote radio head (RRH), a relay, an Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) node, a low-power node, or non-terrestrial network (NTN or non-ground network) equipment, such as satellite network equipment, low Earth orbit (LEO) and geosynchronous Earth orbit (GEO) satellites, or spacecraft network equipment.

[0032] Furthermore, regarding a split radio access network (RAN), network equipment can refer to a centralized unit (CU) and / or a distributed unit (DU) of a base station. The interface between the CU and the DU can be referred to as the F1 interface in NR. In a split RAN architecture, node operation can be performed at least partially in a CU (e.g., a server, host, or node) operatively coupled to a DU (e.g., a radio head / node). A CU can control one or more DUs that function as at least transmit / receive (Tx / Rx) nodes. In some embodiments, a DU may include, for example, a radio link control (RLC) layer, a medium access control (MAC) layer, and a physical (PHY) layer, while the CU may include layers above the RLC layer, such as a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer, a radio resource control (RRC) layer, and an internet protocol (IP) layer. Other functional separations are also possible. In practice, any processing task can be performed in either the CU or the DU, and the boundary of responsibility shifts between the CU and the DU can depend on the implementation applied.

[0033] In this document, the terms "user equipment" or "terminal equipment" refer to any end device capable of wireless communication. By way of example and not limitation, a terminal device may also be referred to as a communication device, user equipment (UE), subscriber station (SS), portable subscriber station, mobile station (MS), or access terminal (AT). Terminal devices may include, but are not limited to, mobile phones, cellular phones, smartphones, VoIP phones, wireless local loop phones, tablet computers, wearable terminal devices, personal digital assistants (PDAs), portable computers, desktop computers, image capture terminal devices (such as digital cameras), gaming terminal devices, music storage and playback devices, in-vehicle wireless terminal devices, wireless endpoints, mobile stations, laptop embedded devices (LEE), laptop mounted devices (LME), USB dongles, smart devices, wireless customer premises equipment (CPE), Internet of Things (IoT) devices, watches or other wearable devices, head-mounted displays (HMDs), vehicles, drones, medical devices and applications (e.g., remote surgery), industrial devices and applications (e.g., robots and / or other wireless devices operating in industrial and / or automated processing chain environments), consumer electronics devices, devices operating on commercial and / or industrial wireless networks, etc.

[0034] In this document, the term "resource" can refer to radio resources in the time domain, frequency domain, spatial domain, and / or code domain. Some examples of resources include, for example, physical resource blocks (PRBs), radio frames, subframes, time slots, subbands, frequency regions, subcarriers, beams, etc. The terms "transmit" and / or "receive" can refer to radio transmission and / or reception on radio resources via a radio propagation channel.

[0035] Figure 1 Examples of communication networks that can be implemented according to the examples disclosed herein are shown. The communication network or cellular communication network may include network node 110, which provides one or more cells, such as cell 100. Each cell may be, for example, a macro cell, micro cell, femto cell, or pico cell. A cell may define the coverage area or service area of a corresponding access node.

[0036] Network node 110 can provide radio access to a communication network to user equipment (UE) 120 (one or more UEs). Radio access may include downlink (DL) communication from the network node to UE 120 and uplink (UL) communication from UE 120 to the network node. Examples of uplink channels include a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) for transmitting control information and a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) for transmitting data to the network. Examples of downlink channels include a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) for transmitting control information and a Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) for transmitting data to the user equipment.

[0037] The system can have multiple UEs 120 and 122. Each UE can be served by the same or different network nodes 110 and 112. UEs can be configured with dual connectivity (DC), where a UE, such as UE 120, can connect to multiple network nodes 110 and 112. UEs 120 and 122 can communicate with each other when a device-to-device (D2D) communication interface is established between UEs 120 and 122 via a so-called sidelink (SL). Such D2D communication can be referred to as machine-to-machine, peer-to-peer (P2P), or vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication.

[0038] In a communication network with multiple network nodes, these nodes can connect to each other via interfaces. LTE refers to such interfaces as X2 interfaces. Interfaces between LTE nodes and 5G nodes, or between 5G nodes, can be called Xn interfaces.

[0039] Network nodes 110 and 112 can be further connected to the core network 116 of the communication network via other interfaces. The LTE standard defines the core network as an evolved packet core (EPC), which may include, for example, a mobility management entity (MME) and gateway nodes. The MME can handle the mobility of terminal devices in a tracking area covering multiple cells and can handle signaling connections between terminal devices and the core network. Gateway nodes can handle data routing in the core network, both to and from terminal devices. The core network of a 5G system can be represented as 5GC. 5GC may include, for example, Access and Mobility Management Functions (AMF) and User Plane Functions / Gateways (UPF) and other functions. AMF can handle Non-Access Stratum (NAS) signaling, NAS encryption and integrity protection, registration management, connection management, mobility management, access authentication and authorization, and security environment management. UPF nodes can support, for example, packet routing and forwarding, packet inspection, and Quality of Service (QoS) processing.

[0040] Network nodes (e.g., network node 110) can configure reserved resources in the downlink resources (referred to as allocated resources) allocated to user equipment (e.g., user equipment 120). In some scenarios, reserved resources may be configured with high density in the time domain. For example, reserved resources may be configured to appear once every n time slots, where n can be 4, 2, or 1. In such scenarios, the resources allocated for PDSCH may include some or all of the reserved resources within a PDSCH time slot (or a PDSCH time slot in a multi-time slot scheduling). At the encoding and transmission time of the associated PDCCH, the radio access network (RAN) node may not yet have determined whether the reserved resources contained in the PDSCH will be used, and therefore the PDCCH cannot indicate the usage status of the contained reserved resources. At this time, since the UE is unaware of whether the PDSCH resources are occupied, the target receiver of PDCCH / PDSCH can generally only decode the PDSCH based on the assumption that the allocated resources of the PDSCH are not occupied. If a portion of the allocated resources of the PDSCH are actually occupied, it will lead to a decrease in decoding performance. Similar situations exist in cross-slot scheduling and multi-slot scheduling scenarios. After scheduling the PDCCH transmission of the associated PDSCH, the RAN node may decide to use part of the PDSCH resources for other purposes, such as deciding to reallocate a portion of the PDSCH allocation resources to other UEs, which will also reduce the decoding performance of the UE for the PDSCH.

[0041] Furthermore, a crucial scenario that needs to be supported in sixth-generation mobile communication systems (6G) is the flexible coexistence of LPWA and enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB). To enhance LPWA coverage, PDCCH retransmission is required. PDCCH retransmission may continue for multiple time slots (e.g., 64 retransmissions to achieve a 20 dB enhancement). Therefore, there is a conflict with PDSCH allocation resources; that is, the resources for PDCCH retransmission overlap or partially overlap with the allocated resources for already scheduled PDSCH. On the other hand, if there is ongoing PDSCH retransmission, or if there is semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) for PDSCH, then PDCCH retransmission cannot be flexibly scheduled.

[0042] The exemplary embodiments disclosed herein can enhance UE coverage in the aforementioned scenarios and can flexibly and efficiently utilize resources to achieve the coexistence of multiple services in the aforementioned scenarios.

[0043] Figure 2a and Figure 2b Flowcharts illustrating operations performed by UE 210 and network device 260 according to exemplary embodiments of this disclosure are shown respectively. UE 210 may be, for example... Figure 1 In this context, UE 120, UE 122, and any other type of network terminal device or user equipment can be used, while network device 260 can be, for example, any terminal device or user equipment in such a network. Figure 1 The network can be any type of base station or network node, such as network nodes 110 and 112. UE 210 connects to network device 260 and is provided with services by network device 260. UE 210 and network device 260 can exchange various signaling and data through control channels and data channels. Downlink control information (DCI), also known as downlink control information, is control information sent by network device 260 to UE 210, and may include indications such as scheduling information, power control commands, and uplink grants.

[0044] according to Figure 2bNetwork device 260 can perform operation 262 to initially determine whether it is possible to allocate resources in the PDSCH allocation resources for other purposes, such as whether it is possible to exclude a portion of the PDSCH allocation resources from being used for the PDSCH, for example, for purposes other than transmitting data to UE 210. In some embodiments, the resources in the PDSCH allocation resources used for other purposes may be, for example, reserved resources, such as resources used as CORESET. In some embodiments, the resources used for other purposes may be resources occupied by repeated PDCCH transmissions for other LPWA UEs. In some embodiments, network device 260 (e.g., a radio access network node) may determine whether it is possible to allocate resources in the PDSCH allocation resources to exclude resources from being used for the PDSCH based on the quality of service (QoS) requirements of downlink data services for UE 210 (or may be referred to as the receiver) and / or the overall downlink data service load of network device 260, and accordingly decide whether to adopt a two-level DCI scheme. Operation 262 may be a preliminary determination by network device 260 of the possibility that there are resources in the allocated resources of the PDSCH, such as in the frequency domain, that are set to exclude the PDSCH from use and instead be used for other purposes. In some embodiments, if there are reserved resources in the allocated resources of the PDSCH, regardless of the actual use of the reserved resources, operation 262 may determine the possibility that there are reserved resources that are excluded from use for the PDSCH.

[0045] If the network device determines in operation 262 that some of the allocated resources for the PDSCH may be used for other purposes (i.e., the "yes" branch of operation 262), then operation 266 is executed, deciding to adopt a two-level DCI scheme and sending the first-level DCI. Otherwise, (i.e., the "no" branch of operation 262), the network device 260 executes operation 268, adopting a single-level DCI scheme and sending the first-level DCI, and based on the resources allocated to the PDSCH according to the first-level DCI, executes operation 280 to send the PDSCH. In some embodiments, the first-level DCI can be used to indicate the scheduling / allocation information of the relevant PDSCH and the relevant information of the second-level DCI. In some embodiments, the first-level DCI can be transmitted by the PDCCH, in which case the PDCCH can be referred to as the first-level PDCCH. The second-level DCI can be used to indicate whether some of the allocated resources of the PDSCH are actually excluded from the use of the PDSCH, and the location of those resources (described later). It is understood that in different scenarios, the first / second level DCI can also be called the first / second stage DCI, and the two-level DCI can also be called the two-stage DCI, which can be represented as DCI-1 / DCI-2 respectively, and are not limited to the names used in this disclosure.

[0046] In some exemplary embodiments, the first-level DCI may include at least two parts. The first part of the first-level DCI may indicate scheduling information for the PDSCH used by UE 210. The scheduling information may include, for example, basic PDSCH allocation information, such as downlink scheduling and allocation information for the PDSCH. Optionally, the first part of the first-level DCI may include at least one of the following PDSCH-related information: time-frequency resources, modulation and coding scheme (MCS) information, multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) related information, or hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) related information. The first part of the first-level DCI may be represented as DCI-1-1.

[0047] The second part of the first-level DCI may include additional information related to the second-level DCI. This additional information may indicate at least one of the following: the existence of the second-level DCI; the format of the second-level DCI; the transmission method of the second-level DCI; or the resource location for transmitting the second-level DCI. The second part of the first-level DCI may be represented as DCI-1-2. When the additional information indicates the existence of the second-level DCI, for example, 1 bit may be used to indicate its existence. In some implementations, the existence of the second-level DCI may also be implicitly indicated by the format of the first-level DCI. In this case, if a two-level DCI scheme is not used, the first-level DCI may not include a second part.

[0048] In cases where additional information indicates the format of the Level 2 DCI, for example, multiple Level 2 DCI formats can be predefined, and different Level 2 DCI formats can have different message sizes and information fields.

[0049] In cases where additional information indicates the transmission method of the second-level DCI, for example, the additional information may indicate whether the second-level DCI is transmitted via PDSCH or PDCCH. In some embodiments, a 1-bit information field may be used to indicate whether the second-level DCI is transmitted via PDSCH or PDCCH.

[0050] When the additional information indicates the resource location for transmitting the second-level DCI, if the second-level DCI is transmitted by a PDSCH scheduled by the first part of the first-level DCI, the resource location for transmitting the second-level DCI can refer to a location within the allocated resources of the PDSCH. If the second-level DCI is transmitted by a PDCCH, the resource location for transmitting the second-level DCI can refer to a location within the allocated resources of the PDSCH scheduled by the first part of the first-level DCI, or a location prior to the allocated resources of that PDSCH. The PDCCH for transmitting the second-level DCI can also be referred to as the second-level PDCCH.

[0051] The resource locations for transmitting the second-level DCI can be outside of resources that might be excluded from the PDSCH and used for other purposes, such as outside of reserved resources. For example, the second-level DCI can occupy resources outside of reserved resources in the PDSCH allocation, and these resource locations can be indicated by the first-level DCI. When using PDSCH transmission, the second-level DCI can be multiplexed with a transport block (TB) and mapped onto a resource unit of the PDSCH for transmission in the PDSCH in a manner multiplexed with the data TB. The detection and / or decoding of the second-level DCI can rely on channel estimation based on the demodulation reference signal (DMRS) of the PDSCH.

[0052] In some implementations, the resource location for transmitting the second-level DCI can be represented by a resource index, which can be based on resource units. These resource units can be, for example, physical resource blocks (PRBs) in the frequency domain and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols in the time domain. For instance, PDSCH resources outside of reserved resources can be sorted by one PRB in the frequency domain and one or more OFDM symbols in the time domain; alternatively, PDSCH resources outside of reserved resources can be sorted by multiple PRBs in the frequency domain and one or more OFDM symbols in the time domain. The time-domain resources occupied by the second-level DCI can be aligned with the reserved resources in the time domain, or they can take other values. The sorting of resource units can be performed first in the frequency domain and then in the time domain. The second-level DCI can occupy the first m resource units indicated by the first-level DCI, where the first m resource units can be the sorted first m resource units.

[0053] The following is combined Figure 3 The two-level DCI scheme disclosed herein will be further explained. Figure 3The transmission timing of a two-level DCI scheme according to some exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure is shown. Figure 3 The squares in the diagram represent radio resources, with the vertical axis representing the frequency domain, such as carrier bandwidth or bandwith-part (BWP), and the horizontal axis representing the time domain, with time units such as time slots, frames, subframes, symbols, etc. Figure 3 Taking time slots as an example, this exemplary embodiment employs a two-level DCI scheme. The second-level DCI can be transmitted together with the PDSCH scheduled by the first-level DCI. PDSCH scheduling can adopt a cross-time slot scheduling method. The allocated resources for PDSCH can include two reserved resources. According to... Figure 3 The first-level DCI is transmitted at time t1, i.e., when network device 260 executes it. Figure 2b The timing of operation 266 in the process. In some implementations, network device 260 may not have determined whether to use reserved resources and how to use them at time t1 (or during the first level of DCI encoding before t1).

[0054] For the operation of UE 210 corresponding to the operation of network device 260, please refer to [link / reference]. Figure 2a In some embodiments, UE 210 can perform step 212 to continuously monitor the PDCCH. When network device 260 sends the first-level DCI by performing operation 266 or 268, UE 210 can detect the PDCCH transmitting the first-level DCI. After UE 210 detects the PDCCH, it performs operation 214 to decode the detected PDCCH, extracting and decoding the first-level DCI. UE 210 can check the format of the first-level DCI, verify its integrity and accuracy, and determine the scheduled PDSCH based on the information in the first part of the first-level DCI. It can also obtain information on the allocated resources of the PDSCH, such as resource block allocation in the frequency domain and symbol allocation in the time domain, to determine on which time and frequency resources data will be received. UE 210 can also determine, based on the information in the second part of the first-level DCI, whether the second-level DCI exists, its format, whether it is transmitted via PDSCH or PDCCH, and the resource location for transmitting the second-level DCI. Additionally or alternatively, in some embodiments, UE 210 may determine the existence of a second-level DCI based on the format of the first-level DCI by checking the format of the first-level DCI.

[0055] Back Figure 2bAt some point after executing operation 266 to send the first-level DCI, network device 260 may execute operation 270 to determine whether a portion of the allocated resources for the PDSCH scheduled in the first part of the first-level DCI are excluded from use for that PDSCH. For example, network device 260 executes operation 270 to determine whether a portion of the allocated resources for the PDSCH are allocated for other purposes. If it is determined that a portion of the resources are used for other purposes (the "yes" branch of operation 270), then operation 272 is executed to send the second-level DCI to indicate the location of that portion of the resources, and operation 276 is executed to send the PDSCH that excludes that portion of the resources. Otherwise (the "no" branch of operation 270), network device 260 executes operation 274 to send the second-level DCI to indicate that no portion of the resources are excluded from use for other purposes, and operation 278 is executed to send the PDSCH.

[0056] In some embodiments, the second-level DCI sent by network device 260 may include at least one of the following to indicate updated information regarding the allocation resources of the PDSCH: that a portion of the allocated resources of the PDSCH is not used for the PDSCH but for other purposes, and the specific resource location of that portion of the resources. In some embodiments, the location of that portion of the resources within the allocated resources of the PDSCH may be represented by time-domain resources and frequency-domain resources, with units such as physical resource blocks and symbols. In some exemplary embodiments, when the portion of the resources spans all the allocated resources of the PDSCH in the time domain, the location of that portion of the resources within the allocated resources of the PDSCH may be represented by frequency-domain resources. For example, when the portion of the resources occupies all symbols of the allocated resources of the PDSCH, the allocated resources of the PDSCH occupied by that portion of the resources may be represented by the frequency domain, with units such as physical resource blocks.

[0057] Two exemplary methods for using some resources can be referenced. Figure 3 And what will be described later Figure 7a .exist Figure 3 In this allocation, some resources available for other purposes are reserved resources, which occupy the top left and top right corners of the PDSCH allocated resources. Figure 7a In this context, the resources available for other purposes include those occupied by repeated transmissions of consecutive PDCCHs. Figure 7a In the example shown, these continuously recurring PDCCHs can be allocated to other LPWA UEs, and this portion of the resources occupies all the time-domain resources and a portion of the frequency-domain resources in the allocated resources of the PDSCH.

[0058] Alternatively or additionally, in some embodiments, the location of the reserved resources is known to UE 210 before receiving the first-level DCI, and the portion of resources within the allocated resources of the PDSCH occupies all or part of the reserved resources. In this case, the second-level DCI may indicate at least one of the following: whether the portion of resources occupies all the reserved resources; or whether the portion of resources occupies part of the reserved resources and the location of the portion of the reserved resources. If UE 210, as the receiving party, knows the location of the reserved resources, for example, UE 210 knows the location of reserved resources that conflict with the allocated resources of the PDSCH, then 1 bit may be used to indicate whether the conflicting reserved resources are used, or several bits (e.g., 2 to 4 bits) may be used to indicate which portion of the conflicting reserved resources is used for other purposes and not for the PDSCH.

[0059] The time it takes for network device 260 to perform operation 270 can correspond to Figure 3 At time t2 in the [reference / reference], according to... Figure 3 At time t2, network device 260 (e.g., a RAN node scheduler) determines whether and how to use reserved resources. As an example, network device 260 decides to use the second reserved resource, which is later in the time domain, for other purposes (e.g., sending a control channel to another receiver), while the first reserved resource, which is earlier in the time domain, is not used for the control channel but for the PDSCH transmission. In this case, the second-level DCI indicates that the first reserved resource is used for the PDSCH, while the second reserved resource is not. The second-level DCI can then be sent at time t3; in this example, the second-level DCI is transmitted along with the PDSCH. It is understood that the time interval between t3 and t2 can be equal to or greater than the processing time for encoding and preparing the second-level DCI and the PDSCH.

[0060] For the corresponding UE 210 operation, please refer to [link / reference]. Figure 2aAfter network device 260 sends the first-level DCI and UE 210 decodes the first-level DCI to obtain relevant information, UE 210 performs operation 216 to receive the corresponding resources according to the indication of the first-level DCI (the resources indicated by the first-level DCI may include the resources occupied by the PDSCH indicated by DCI-1-1 and the resources occupied by the second-level DCI indicated by DCI-1-2), and buffers the sampled data. Then, UE 210 can perform operation 218 to determine whether the first-level DCI indicates the second-level DCI. If UE 210 determines that the first-level DCI does not indicate any second-level DCI (the "No" branch of operation 218), then it performs operation 226 to decode the PDSCH. Otherwise (the "Yes" branch of operation 218), UE 210 performs operation 220 to decode the second-level DCI using the sampled data in the resources indicated by the first-level DCI. Then, based on the information contained in the second-level DCI, UE 210 performs operation 222 to determine whether any portion of the PDSCH resources have actually been excluded for other purposes. If it is determined that no portion of the PDSCH resources have been excluded for other purposes (the "No" branch of operation 222), then operation 226 is performed to decode the PDSCH. Otherwise (the "Yes" branch of operation 222), UE 210 performs operation 224 to decode the PDSCH in the unexcluded resources, that is, to decode the allocated resources of the PDSCH other than that portion of resources. In some exemplary embodiments, UE 210 can decode the second-level DCI and know which resources are actually used for the PDSCH and which resources are not actually used for the PDSCH. Therefore, UE 210 can decode the data transmission blocks in the PDSCH based on all available resources in the allocated resources of the PDSCH.

[0061] Figure 4 A timing diagram of a two-level DCI scheme according to some exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure is shown. Figure 4 Examples of using time slots as units of time include Figure 4 In the exemplary embodiment shown, the reserved resources include four parts. The second-level DCI can indicate which of the four parts can be used for the PDSCH and which parts are excluded for other purposes. In this exemplary embodiment, downlink data transmission is performed using cross-slot scheduling. Figure 4 As shown, the PDCCH for transmitting the first-level DCI is transmitted in time slot n, and the PDSCH scheduled by the first-level DCI is transmitted in time slot n+3, which is 3 time slots later than the PDCCH for transmitting the first-level DCI. The allocation resources for PDSCH may include at least one reserved resource. Network devices (e.g., RAN nodes, such as the aforementioned network device 260) may use these reserved resources for specific purposes, such as using them as CORESET for PDCCH transmission.

[0062] like Figure 4 As shown, the reserved resources are divided into four parts. In one implementation, the UE, such as UE 210, has already obtained the configuration information of the reserved resources in advance. For example, the UE can know in advance the reserved resources and the locations of the four parts of the reserved resources. The DCI information about the PDSCH can be transmitted in two stages. The first-level DCI can be transmitted through the PDCCH in time slot n, and the second-level DCI can be transmitted in time slot n+3. The first-level DCI can at least include a first part DCI-1-1 for indicating the scheduling information of the PDSCH and a second part DCI-1-2 for indicating additional information related to the second-level DCI.

[0063] See Figure 4 The PDSCH can be scheduled to occupy resources in time slot n+3, while during time slot n+1 or n+2, network device 260 can determine how to use the reserved resources in the allocated resources of the PDSCH located in time slot n+3. For example, half of the reserved resources can be used for this PDSCH, while the other half will be used for other purposes. Then, in time slot n+3, network device 260 can send the second-level DCI and PDSCH to UE 210. In some implementations, such as Figure 4 As shown, the second-level DCI can be mapped to the first few resource units sorted after excluding reserved resources, and the specific number and / or location of the mapped resource units can be indicated by the first-level DCI. The second-level DCI may contain information indicating whether one or more reserved resources included in the allocated resources of the PDSCH are available.

[0064] When reserved resources are divided into multiple parts, the second-level DCI can be configured with a field containing multiple bits, setting the value of each bit based on whether the portion of the reserved resource corresponding to each bit is used by the PDSCH. In this example, the PDSCH allocation resources include one reserved resource. This reserved resource is configured to include four parts. In this case, the second-level DCI can contain at least, for example, a four-bit information field, where each bit indicates whether the relevant portion of the reserved resource is used for the transmission of the PDSCH.

[0065] In one exemplary embodiment, the second-level DCI may indicate that two portions of the reserved resources comprising four parts are available for the PDSCH, while the other two portions are used for other purposes. For example, if the first two portions are used for other purposes, the information field can be set to "0011". For the UE acting as the receiver (e.g., UE 210), it first determines the resources occupied by the second-level DCI according to the indication of the first-level DCI, and then decodes the second-level DCI. Based on the decoded information field "0011", UE 210 can know that the third and fourth portions of the reserved resources are used for the PDSCH. UE 210 can decode the data transmission blocks in the PDSCH based on all available resources in the allocated resources of the PDSCH.

[0066] Figure 5 A transmission timing diagram of a two-level DCI scheme according to some exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure is shown. This exemplary embodiment is related to... Figure 4 The exemplary embodiments shown are similar, all using cross-slot scheduling for downlink data transmission, and the scheduled reserved resources comprise multiple parts. The difference lies in that, as... Figure 5 As shown, the second-level DCI is transmitted by a PDCCH but not by a scheduled PDSCH, and the PDCCH occupies the resources preceding the PDSCH. In this embodiment, the information about the second-level DCI indicated by the first-level DCI may include: the existence of a second-level DCI, the second-level DCI being transmitted by a PDCCH, and the PDCCH occupying the control channel resources in time slot n+2. Other content is related to... Figure 4 The exemplary embodiments shown are similar.

[0067] Figure 6 A timing diagram of a two-level DCI scheme according to some exemplary embodiments of this disclosure is shown. Figure 4 and Figure 5 The exemplary embodiments shown are similar. Figure 6 The reserved resources in the exemplary embodiment also include multiple parts. The difference is that, in Figure 6 In an exemplary embodiment, multi-slot scheduling is used for PDSCH transmission. In this exemplary embodiment, as... Figure 6As shown, the first-level DCI can be transmitted in time slot n. The first-level DCI can allocate resources for PDSCH spanning from time slot n to time slot n+3, that is, allocate resources occupying 4 consecutive time slots for PDSCH from time slot n to time slot n+3. In one embodiment, in PDSCH transmission using multi-time slot scheduling, a specific redundancy version (RV) can be applied to the PDSCH signal in each time slot. For example, for the four time slots of PDSCH transmission, four RV indices [0,2,3,1] can be used respectively. The UE 210, as the receiver, performs corresponding decoding based on the RV index corresponding to each time slot, thereby obtaining the coding gain.

[0068] exist Figure 6 In an exemplary embodiment, the first part of the first-level DCI indicates scheduling information for the PDSCH of UE 210, and the additional information related to the second-level DCI indicated by the second part of the first-level DCI may include: the second-level DCI exists in time slot n+2, is transmitted by PDSCH, and occupies the first resource element of that time slot, such as the time-frequency resource in the upper left corner. In this exemplary embodiment, see [link to example]. Figure 6 In time slot n+3, there can be a reserved resource consisting of four parts. The second-level DCI can indicate the usage of the reserved resource within the allocated resources of the PDSCH in time slot n+3. For example, the second-level DCI can indicate that all four parts of the reserved resource will be used for the transmission of this PDSCH. For the UE 210 as the receiver, it can first decode the first-level DCI in time slot n to obtain information about the allocated resources of the PDSCH and the second-level DCI, then decode the second-level DCI to obtain the availability information of the reserved resource, and then decode the PDSCH accordingly.

[0069] Figure 7a and 7b Timing diagrams of a two-level DCI scheme according to some exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are shown. Figure 7a and 7b In this context, the resources available for other purposes include those occupied by repeated transmissions of consecutive PDCCHs, which occupy two complete and consecutive time-domain resources as well as a portion of the frequency-domain resources.

[0070] exist Figure 7a and 7bIn the exemplary embodiment shown, the additional information related to the second-level DCI indicated by the first-level DCI may include: the second-level DCI occupies resources within the allocated resource range of the PDSCH scheduled by the first part of the first-level DCI, DCI-1-1, or occupies resources prior to the allocated resources of that PDSCH. The information related to excluding that portion of the resources used for that PDSCH indicated by the second-level DCI may include: an indication that the portion of the allocated resources of the PDSCH occupying the entire time domain and a portion of the frequency domain is used for other purposes, such as indicating that the portion of the resources is used to transmit PDCCHs allocated to other LPWA UEs.

[0071] In this case, the second-level DCI can indicate the frequency domain information of the excluded resources, without indicating the time domain information of those resources, in order to provide specific information about the resources. Figure 7a and 7b The difference in the exemplary embodiments shown is that: Figure 7a The second-level DCI in the process occupies the allocation resources of PDSCH, while Figure 7b The second-level DCI in the PDSCH occupies resources prior to the allocated resources of the PDSCH and can be transmitted through a PDCCH. For example, it can occupy resources used for control resource sets prior to the allocated resources of the PDSCH and can be transmitted in the PDCCH.

[0072] According to the exemplary embodiments provided in this disclosure, from the network side, it is not necessary to determine whether other resources in the scheduled PDSCH are excluded from the PDSCH when the first-level DCI is sent, thus giving more time to make a more reasonable decision on resource usage; from the user equipment side, the user equipment can improve the decoding performance of the PDSCH.
