Description

Technical Field

[0001] This disclosure relates to the field of communication technology, and more specifically, to a network access method, apparatus, electronic device, storage medium, and computer program product. Background Technology

[0002] With the rapid development of mobile communication technology, the connection quality between mobile terminals (such as mobile phones) and communication networks directly determines the user experience. When a mobile terminal initially powers on and connects to the network or recovers from an Out of Service (OOS) state, the device needs to attempt to connect to available wireless networks in the vicinity through a network search process. If a suitable target network cannot be found in time, this process may take tens of seconds or even minutes, resulting in the user being unable to access the network for an extended period. Furthermore, frequent or prolonged network search operations significantly increase the device's power consumption, further impacting the user experience. Especially in scenarios with weak signals or at the edge of a cell, the network search failure rate is high, and the device may enter a Limited Service (LMS) state, further prolonging network connection time. [0042] Exemplary embodiments of this disclosure will be described in detail herein, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. When the following description refers to the drawings, the same numbers in different drawings denote the same or similar elements unless otherwise indicated. Various changes, modifications, and equivalents of the methods, apparatus, and / or systems described herein will become apparent upon understanding this disclosure. For example, the order of operations described herein is merely illustrative and is not limited to those orders set forth herein, but can be changed as will become apparent upon understanding this disclosure, except for operations that must be performed in a particular order. Furthermore, for clarity and brevity, descriptions of features known in the art may be omitted.

[0043] The embodiments described below, which are examples of some of the embodiments of this disclosure, do not represent all embodiments consistent with this disclosure. Rather, they are merely examples of apparatuses and methods consistent with some aspects of this disclosure as detailed in the appended claims.

[0044] In related technologies, mobile terminals typically search for networks based on historical frequency information stored in the Acquisition Database (ACQ DB). If no available frequencies are found in the ACQ DB, a full-frequency scan (FFS) is required. This process involves scanning each frequency band individually, which is time-consuming. Especially at cell edges or when the signal is weak, the network search time can reach tens of seconds or even minutes, severely impacting user experience and increasing power consumption.

[0045] The steps of the method in the exemplary embodiments of this disclosure will now be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and examples.

[0046] Figure 1 This is a flowchart of a network access method according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure. Figure 1 . Figure 2 This is a schematic diagram of a mobile communication network architecture according to an exemplary embodiment of this disclosure. The method of this embodiment can be applied to electronic devices, including smart speakers, smartphones, and smart tablet terminal devices, and may also include server-side components such as local servers and cloud servers, which can be deployed in a computer or a computer cluster consisting of multiple computers.

[0047] like Figure 1 , 2 As shown, in some embodiments, the network access method exemplified in this disclosure includes:

[0048] In step S110, a pre-stored frequency point information table is obtained; the frequency point information table stores at least one network access information available for access within the target geographical range.

[0049] In this embodiment, the network access method is applied to a mobile terminal (e.g., a mobile phone). A frequency point information table is pre-stored in the terminal. This frequency point information table stores multiple network access information available within a target geographical area. This frequency point information table differs from the aforementioned ACQ DB, which records frequency point information of networks historically accessed by the terminal. The ACQ DB stores multiple network access information available within the target geographical area, filtered based on that area. The target geographical area includes a geographical range preset based on a certain location information. This location information can be the terminal's location information or the base station's location information.

[0050] like Figure 2 As shown in the example, the target geographical area is defined as a 5km radius around the base station of the cell currently serving the terminal. This frequency point information table stores network access information provided by each base station within this target geographical area.

[0051] In an exemplary embodiment, the network access information includes at least one of the following: Cell Identifier (PCI), Radio Access Technology Information (RAT), and Frequency Point Information. The Cell Identifier (PCI) is used to uniquely identify each cell within the target geographical area. The Radio Access Technology Information (RAT) indicates the communication technology standards supported by each cell, such as 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G. The Frequency Point Information indicates the specific communication frequency used by each cell under the corresponding RAT. As shown in Table 1,

[0052]

[0053]

[0054] Table 1

[0055] In an exemplary embodiment, corresponding location information is also stored along with the frequency point information table. This location information can be the reference location information corresponding to the frequency point information table, or the terminal's location information when the terminal obtains the frequency point information table. Using this corresponding location information, it can be determined whether the frequency point information table needs to be updated.

[0056] In step S120, the at least one network access information is scanned sequentially according to the frequency point information table.

[0057] In this embodiment, based on the network access information provided in the frequency point information table, the terminal sequentially scans each network access information to confirm whether it meets the network access conditions. If the network access conditions are met, the terminal directly accesses the network and completes the network search process. If the network access conditions are not met, the terminal scans the next network access information in the frequency point information table.

[0058] In an exemplary embodiment, a priority order is pre-set based on the performance advantages of wireless access technologies. Based on this priority order, the terminal sequentially scans each network access information according to the wireless access technology information in the frequency point information table. For example, it scans in the order of 5G, 4G, 3G, and 2G. If all 5G frequencies have been scanned and no network access conditions are met, then it begins scanning 4G frequencies, and so on. This allows the terminal to prioritize accessing networks with superior performance.

[0059] In step S130, in response to the network corresponding to the first network access information meeting the network access conditions, the network corresponding to the first network access information is accessed; the first network access information belongs to the at least one network access information.

[0060] In this embodiment of the present disclosure, during the scanning process in step 120, in response to the network corresponding to the first network access information meeting the network access conditions, the terminal accesses the network corresponding to the first network access information and completes the network search process. The first network access information can be any network access information in the frequency point information table. The network access conditions can be any pre-set network access judgment conditions, and this disclosure does not limit the setting of the conditions or the condition judgment process.

[0061] Figure 3 This is a flowchart illustrating a network scanning process according to an exemplary embodiment of this disclosure. Figure 1 , 2 As shown, in some embodiments, the network scanning process of this disclosure example may include the following steps.

[0062] S1, Signal Strength Judgment. The terminal determines whether the signal strength of the currently scanned frequency point reaches a preset threshold. If it does not reach the threshold, the frequency point is skipped, and the scanning continues to the next frequency point. If it does reach the threshold, the process proceeds to step S2.

[0063] S2, Synchronization Signal Demodulation (PSS / SSS). The terminal attempts to demodulate the PSS (Primary Synchronization Signal) and SSS (Secondary Synchronization Signal) of the current frequency. If demodulation fails, the frequency is skipped, and the scan for the next frequency continues. If successful, it indicates that the device has established initial synchronization with the network, and the process proceeds to step S3.

[0064] S3, MIB information demodulation. The terminal attempts to demodulate the MIB (Master Information Block) information of the current frequency. If demodulation fails, the frequency is skipped, and the scan continues to the next frequency. If successful, proceed to step S4.

[0065] S4, SIB1 information demodulation and PLMN matching. The terminal demodulates the SIB1 (System Information Block 1) information of the current frequency point and checks whether the PLMN (Public Land Mobile Network) conforms to the network access policy. If SIB1 demodulation fails or the PLMN does not match, the frequency point is skipped, and the scan for the next frequency point continues. If both conditions are met, the network access conditions are satisfied. The terminal enters the RACH (Random Access Channel) procedure to complete network access.

[0066] In an exemplary embodiment, if none of the networks corresponding to each network access information in the frequency point information table meet the network access conditions, it indicates that none of the networks within the target geographical area meet the network access conditions. Based on this, the terminal can perform a full-frequency scan (FFS) of available networks to avoid encountering networks not listed in the frequency point information table, thus serving as a fallback solution for the network search process.

[0067] In an exemplary embodiment, if none of the networks corresponding to the network access information in the frequency point information table meet the network access conditions, it indicates that none of the networks within the target geographical area meet the network access conditions. Based on this, the terminal can enter a Limited Service (LMS) state. In this state, the terminal stops the network search operation and waits for a period of time (protection timer) before retrying the network search to avoid power consumption and network resource waste caused by frequent network searches. Since the frequency point information table basically includes information on all available networks in the surrounding area, if the network search based on the frequency point information table fails, the FFS network search process can be abandoned directly, thereby avoiding unnecessary power and time consumption.

[0068] The network access method disclosed herein sequentially scans various network access information according to a pre-stored frequency point information table; in response to a network meeting the network access conditions, it accesses the corresponding network. Since the frequency point information table stores network access information available within the target geographical area, the terminal can pre-obtain information about available networks in the surrounding area, thereby significantly improving the terminal's network search success rate, reducing network search waiting time and power consumption, and enhancing the user experience.

[0069] Figure 4 This is a flowchart illustrating the process of obtaining a frequency point information table according to an exemplary embodiment of this disclosure. Figure 4 As shown, in some embodiments, the network access method of this disclosure example further includes:

[0070] In step S410, a frequency point information table retrieval request is sent to the base station.

[0071] In this embodiment, the frequency point information table needs to be obtained by the terminal from the base station and stored locally for use in subsequent network search processes. Therefore, the terminal sends a frequency point information table retrieval request to the base station to request the frequency point information table.

[0072] In an exemplary embodiment, the frequency point information table acquisition request includes the terminal location information of the terminal, so that the base station can feed back a frequency point information table that matches the terminal location information based on the terminal location information.

[0073] Figure 5 This is a flowchart illustrating a trigger frequency information table retrieval request according to an exemplary embodiment of this disclosure. For example... Figure 5 As shown, depending on the actual application needs, the terminal can trigger a request to the base station to obtain the frequency point information table based on various triggering methods. The following are some feasible embodiments for illustrative purposes.

[0074] In an exemplary embodiment, after successful initial network registration, the terminal does not yet store a frequency point information table. Therefore, in response to accessing the serving cell, the terminal sends a frequency point information table retrieval request to the base station corresponding to that serving cell. For example, during the network registration process, the terminal notifies the base station that it supports the frequency point information table function via a UEcap RRC message. After successful network registration, the base station sends the frequency point information table to the terminal via an RRC message. Upon receiving the frequency point information table, the terminal stores it, thus obtaining the initial frequency point information table.

[0075] In an exemplary embodiment, besides the initial network registration of the terminal, when the terminal changes its serving cell due to handover / reselection / redirection caused by mobility, it is also necessary to re-acquire the frequency point information table to replace the original frequency point information table. Therefore, in response to accessing the updated serving cell, a frequency point information table retrieval request needs to be sent to the base station corresponding to the updated serving cell. For example, after the terminal successfully changes its serving cell, the base station of the new serving cell can also send the updated frequency point information table to the terminal via an RRC message. After receiving the updated frequency point information table, the terminal stores it to replace the original frequency point information table.

[0076] In an exemplary embodiment, the frequency point information table acquisition request can be triggered based on the degree of distance change. The terminal acquires its current terminal location information. The terminal acquires the first location information corresponding to the stored first frequency point information table. As described in step S110 above, the first location information can be the reference location information corresponding to the first frequency point information table, or it can be the terminal location information when the terminal acquires the first frequency point information table. In response to the distance between the current terminal location information and the first location information being greater than a distance threshold, indicating that the terminal has made a significant displacement from the geographical area corresponding to the first frequency point information table, the terminal sends a frequency point information table acquisition request to the base station. For example, the terminal does not always have GPS or other location information acquisition functions enabled. When the terminal enables GPS, it acquires its current terminal location information. The terminal location information is compared with the first location information corresponding to the stored first frequency point information table. When the distance is greater than a preset distance threshold, the frequency point information table acquisition request is triggered. It should be noted that the distance threshold can be dynamically changed according to the different scenarios in which the terminal is located. For example, the distance threshold is set to 2.5km in an urban environment, 5km in a suburban environment, and 10km in a rural environment.

[0077] In an exemplary embodiment, the frequency point information table retrieval request can be triggered based on a preset periodic trigger time. In response to the periodic trigger time being triggered, the terminal sends a frequency point information table retrieval request to the base station. This periodic trigger time can be set by the terminal itself, or it can be set by the base station when distributing the frequency point information table.

[0078] In step S420, in response to receiving feedback information from the frequency point information table, the frequency point information table is stored.

[0079] In this embodiment of the disclosure, the base station responds to the frequency point information table acquisition request by obtaining the corresponding frequency point information table and sends the frequency point information table feedback information to the terminal. The terminal, based on the received frequency point information table feedback information, retrieves the frequency point information table and stores it locally for use in subsequent network search processes. If the terminal already has a frequency point information table stored, the newly received frequency point information table replaces the original frequency point information table.

[0080] In an exemplary embodiment, the frequency point information table feedback information may further include location information corresponding to the frequency point information table. The terminal stores the location information together with the frequency point information table.

[0081] In an exemplary embodiment, the terminal may also obtain the terminal's current location information when it receives feedback information from the frequency point information table, and store the terminal location information together with the frequency point information table.

[0082] The network access method disclosed herein provides multiple triggering methods for obtaining frequency point information tables, as well as multiple methods for generating frequency point information tables. Through these rich acquisition and generation methods, the needs of different application scenarios can be met, providing terminals with real-time and accurate frequency point information tables, thereby improving the success rate of network search based on these frequency point information tables.

[0083] Figure 6 This is a flowchart of a network access method according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure. Figure 2 . Figure 2 This is a schematic diagram of a mobile communication network architecture illustrated according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure. The method of this embodiment can be applied to electronic devices, including base stations, servers, and cloud servers, which can be deployed in a computer or a computer cluster consisting of multiple computers.

[0084] like Figure 6 , 2 As shown, in some embodiments, the network access method exemplified in this disclosure includes:

[0085] In step S610, a frequency point information table retrieval request is sent by the receiving terminal.

[0086] In this embodiment, the network access method is applied to the base station side. The base station receives a frequency point information table acquisition request sent by the terminal, which requests the base station to issue a frequency point information table matching the terminal. The frequency point information table stores multiple network access information available for access within a target geographical range. The target geographical range includes a geographical range preset based on a certain location information. The location information used as the reference can be the terminal's location information or the base station's location information.

[0087] like Figure 2 As shown in the example, the target geographical area is defined as the 5km radius around the base station of the currently serving cell of the terminal. This frequency point information table stores the network access information provided by each base station within this target geographical area.

[0088] In an exemplary embodiment, the network access information includes at least one of the following: Cell Identifier (PCI), Radio Access Technology (RAT), and Frequency Point Information. See Table 1 above.

[0089] In step S620, frequency point information table feedback information is sent to the terminal; the frequency point information table feedback information includes a frequency point information table; the frequency point information table stores at least one network access information available for access within the target geographical range.

[0090] In this embodiment of the disclosure, the base station responds to the frequency point information table acquisition request by acquiring the corresponding frequency point information table, and sends the frequency point information table feedback information to the terminal. Based on the received frequency point information table feedback information, the terminal retrieves the frequency point information table from it and stores it locally for use in subsequent network search processes.

[0091] In an exemplary embodiment, the frequency point information table feedback information may further include location information corresponding to the frequency point information table. This location information may be the base station location information of the base station.

[0092] The network access method provided in this disclosure receives a frequency point information table acquisition request sent by a terminal; sends frequency point information table feedback information to the terminal; the frequency point information table feedback information includes the frequency point information table; the frequency point information table stores at least one network access information available for access within a target geographical area. Because the frequency point information table stores network access information available for access within the target geographical area, the terminal can obtain surrounding network information in advance, thereby significantly improving the success rate of network search, reducing network search waiting time and power consumption, and enhancing user experience.

[0093] Depending on the specific application requirements, base stations can respond to frequency point information table retrieval requests in various ways to obtain the corresponding frequency point information table. Several feasible implementation examples are provided below for illustration.

[0094] Figure 9 This is an interaction of the frequency point information table update process illustrated in an exemplary embodiment of this disclosure. Figure 1 .

[0095] In some exemplary embodiments of this disclosure, a frequency point information table corresponding to the base station is pre-stored in the base station. The target geographical range in the frequency point information table is a geographical range based on the base station's location information. For example, the target geographical range is a 5km radius around the base station. The base station pre-obtains network access information of each available network access base station within the target geographical range and records it in its local frequency point information table. In response to a frequency point information table retrieval request sent by the terminal, the pre-stored frequency point information table is sent to the terminal. For example, during network registration, the terminal notifies the base station of its support for the frequency point information table function via a UEcap RRC message. After the terminal successfully registers for network registration, the base station sends the frequency point information table to the terminal via an RRC message. For example, after the terminal successfully changes its serving cell, the base station of the new serving cell can also send its local frequency point information table to the terminal via an RRC message.

[0096] Figure 7 This is a flowchart illustrating the frequency point information table feedback process according to an exemplary embodiment of this disclosure. For example... Figure 7 As shown, in some embodiments, the aforementioned step S620 may include the following steps.

[0097] In step S710, the terminal location information in the frequency point information table acquisition request is obtained.

[0098] In this embodiment, the base station does not determine the target geographical range of the frequency point information table based on its own location information, but rather on the terminal's location information. Therefore, the frequency point information table retrieval request uploaded by the terminal includes the terminal's location information. The base station retrieves the terminal's location information from this request and generates a corresponding frequency point information table based on that information.

[0099] In step S720, the frequency point information table is obtained based on the terminal location information; the target geographical range includes a geographical range based on the terminal location information.

[0100] In this embodiment of the disclosure, the base station determines the target geographical range of the frequency point information table based on the terminal location information. The target geographical range includes a geographical area based on the terminal location information. Based on the determined target geographical range, network access information of each available network access base station within the target geographical range is obtained, thereby generating the frequency point information table.

[0101] In an exemplary embodiment, such as Figure 9 As shown, this frequency point information table is generated locally by the base station based on the terminal's location information.

[0102] In an exemplary embodiment, such as Figure 10 As shown, this frequency point information table is generated by the core network to which the base station belongs based on the terminal's location information. The process of obtaining this frequency point information table may include the following steps.

[0103] The terminal location information is sent to the core network;

[0104] The frequency point information table returned by the core network is received; the frequency point information table is generated based on the terminal location information.

[0105] In this embodiment, the core network stores the location information and supported network access information of each base station. A base station, based on the frequency point information table, sends its terminal location information to its core network to request a matching frequency point information table. The core network, based on the terminal location information, determines a target geographical area using that location information as a reference. Then, according to the location information of each base station stored in the core network, it determines the base stations located within the target geographical area, thereby generating a matching frequency point information table. The base station receives the frequency point information table returned by the core network.

[0106] In an exemplary embodiment, a base station network access information table is stored and maintained in the core network. This table includes at least the base station location information and supported network access information for each base station. After receiving terminal location information sent by a base station, the core network can generate the frequency point information table based on a query of the base station network access information table.

[0107] In step S730, the frequency point information table is sent to the terminal.

[0108] The network access method disclosed herein provides multiple ways to generate frequency point information tables. Through these diverse generation methods, the needs of different application scenarios can be met, providing terminals with real-time and accurate frequency point information tables, thereby improving the success rate of network search based on these frequency point information tables.

[0109] Figure 8 This is a flowchart illustrating a periodic trigger frequency information table feedback process according to an exemplary embodiment of this disclosure. For example... Figure 8As shown, in some embodiments, the following steps may also be included.

[0110] In step S810, it is determined whether a frequency point information table retrieval request has been received based on the periodic trigger time.

[0111] In this embodiment of the disclosure, the frequency point information table feedback information also includes a periodic trigger time. This periodic trigger time is used to periodically trigger the terminal to send a frequency point information table retrieval request. After receiving the frequency point information table feedback information, the terminal periodically sends the frequency point information table retrieval request based on the periodic trigger time to update the frequency point information table in a timely manner. The base station also stores the periodic trigger time and periodically determines whether it has received the frequency point information table retrieval request from the terminal.

[0112] In an exemplary embodiment, the AMF (Access and Mobility Management Function) network element of the core network configures the periodic trigger time to the terminal through a newly defined NAS message. Based on this periodic trigger time, the terminal obtains its current location information and reports this location information to the AMF to update the frequency point information table.

[0113] In step S820, in response to receiving a frequency point information table acquisition request sent by the terminal, the frequency point information table is acquired and sent based on the terminal location information; the target geographical range of the frequency point information table includes the geographical range based on the terminal location information.

[0114] In this embodiment of the disclosure, when a frequency point information table retrieval request sent by the terminal is received according to the periodic triggering time, then based on the aforementioned... Figure 7 The illustrated embodiment obtains a frequency point information table based on the terminal's location information and returns the table to the terminal. The target geographical range of the frequency point information table includes a geographical range based on the terminal's location information. This method ensures that the terminal can periodically obtain accurate frequency point information tables, thereby optimizing network search efficiency.

[0115] In an exemplary embodiment, the terminal reports its location information to the AMF network element of the core network via a NAS message. This AMF network element is based on the aforementioned... Figure 10 The illustrated embodiment generates a corresponding frequency point information table.

[0116] In step S830, in response to not receiving a frequency point information table acquisition request triggered based on the periodic trigger time, a second frequency point information table is acquired and sent based on the base station location information; the target geographical range of the second frequency point information table includes a geographical range based on the base station location information.

[0117] In this embodiment of the disclosure, if the base station fails to receive the frequency point information table retrieval request sent by the terminal according to the periodic triggering time, it retrieves a second frequency point information table based on the base station location information of the base station currently providing services to the terminal, and returns the frequency point information table to the terminal. The target geographical range of the second frequency point information table includes the geographical range based on the base station location information.

[0118] In an exemplary embodiment, when the AMF network element of the core network fails to receive the terminal location information reported by the terminal according to the periodic triggering time, it will obtain the base station location information of the base station and generate a corresponding frequency point information table based on the base station location information.

[0119] In an exemplary embodiment, a further delay time can be set based on the periodic trigger time. If a frequency point information table acquisition request sent by the terminal is not received according to the periodic trigger time, the user can wait for the delay time. If the frequency point information table acquisition request is still not received, the processing procedure of step S830 is triggered again.

[0120] The network access method provided in this disclosure can update the frequency point information table based on the base station location information of the accessed base station when the terminal cannot send the frequency point information table acquisition request in a timely manner according to the periodic trigger time, thereby providing flexibility and timeliness in updating the frequency point information table.
