Description

Technical Field

[0001] This invention relates to emulsified cosmetics with excellent stability and preservation during storage from low to high temperatures, and a method for manufacturing the same. Background Technology

[0002] Emulsified cosmetics that can provide skin with moisturizing and barrier functions are widely used. Furthermore, due to the advancement of nanoemulsification technology in recent years, various emulsified cosmetics containing fine emulsified particles with excellent permeability and user experience have been developed.

[0003] For example, there are known emulsified cosmetics that continuously provide a moisturizing effect close to that of the skin itself, using amino acid-based oils (Patent Documents 1 and 2).

[0004] However, emulsified cosmetics are prepared by emulsifying water and oil, and therefore their structure has a problem of stability over time. As a solution to this problem, it has been reported to improve stability over time by adding 1,2-hexanediol to oily components or lecithin, polyglycerol laurate in a specific ratio and emulsifying them. However, it is known that if the amount of 1,2-hexanediol exceeds 2.5% by weight, the stability over time or the user experience will deteriorate (Patent Document 3).

[0005] On the other hand, cosmetics that do not contain preservatives are currently very popular, creating a demand for emulsified cosmetics that can provide preservative properties through means other than adding preservatives.

[0006] Existing technical documents Patent documents Patent Document 1: Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 2006-089420, Patent Document 2: WO2023 / 085272, Patent document 3: Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 2013-56858. Summary of the Invention

However, it was found that by using pentylene glycol in combination with citrate buffer, both preservative and stability can be taken into account. Further research was conducted, and the present invention was completed.

[0081] As described above, if the particle size is reduced, the emulsion becomes more stable, the transparency increases, and the transmittance also increases. Therefore, the transmittance of the emulsified cosmetic of the present invention can also be used as an indicator of stability. It is usually 30-90%, preferably 35-90%, and more preferably 45-90%.

[0082] It should be noted that the transmittance of the emulsified cosmetic of this invention refers to the transmittance (%) of light at a wavelength of 660 nm, measured at 25°C with a path length of 1 cm after appropriate dilution of the emulsified cosmetic with purified water as needed. The transmittance can be measured using a spectrophotometer.

[0083] The emulsified cosmetic of the present invention can be manufactured by a general emulsification method, for example, by heating or heating an oil phase component containing the above-mentioned components (A) and (B) and a lipophilic additive added as needed, an aqueous phase component containing the above-mentioned components (C) and (D) dissolved in water, a component (E) added as needed, and a hydrophilic additive added as needed, and then emulsifying the oil phase component and the aqueous phase component by stirring and mixing.

[0084] In order to produce fine emulsified cosmetics with the above-mentioned average particle size, it is preferable to use a high-pressure emulsifier such as a high-pressure homogenizer, microfluidizer, or ultra-high-pressure wet microparticle device for emulsification.

[0085] The emulsified cosmetic of the present invention can be any one of water-in-oil emulsified cosmetics, oil-in-water emulsified cosmetics, etc., and is preferably a water-in-oil emulsified cosmetic.

[0086] In addition, the emulsified cosmetic of the present invention has the form of a microemulsion and can be made into dosage forms such as liquid, emulsion, paste, cream, and gel.

[0087] Specifically, the emulsified cosmetics of the present invention are suitable for direct use as skin topical agents in the form of emulsions, creams, etc., skin cosmetics such as lotions and creams, base makeup cosmetics such as liquid foundation and foundation cream, color makeup cosmetics such as emulsion foundation and cream foundation, body cosmetics such as lotion and moisturizing cream, sunscreen cosmetics such as sunscreen lotion and sunscreen cream, and hair care cosmetics such as hair oil, conditioner, hair treatment cream and leave-in hair treatment cream.

[0088] The emulsified cosmetic of this invention not only exhibits excellent emulsification stability and preservative properties but also boasts an attractive appearance, making it ideally suited for use in cosmetics. Therefore, the emulsified cosmetic of this invention can be used directly as a moisturizing cosmetic, and further, as a raw material for cosmetics.

[0089] In addition, cosmetics containing the emulsified cosmetics of the present invention are also included in the present invention (also referred to as "cosmetics of the present invention").

[0090] That is, the above-mentioned skin topical agents or general additives added to cosmetics can be added to the emulsified cosmetics of the present invention, and can be provided as skin topical agents in the form of emulsions, creams, etc., skin cosmetics such as lotions and creams, base makeup cosmetics such as liquid foundation and foundation cream, color makeup cosmetics such as lotion foundation and cream foundation, body cosmetics such as lotion and moisturizing cream, sunscreen cosmetics such as sunscreen lotion and sunscreen cream, hair care cosmetics such as hair oil, conditioner, hair treatment cream and leave-in hair treatment cream, etc.

[0091] Alternatively, as another implementation, it is also suitable to add active ingredients or general additives to the emulsified cosmetic of the present invention to provide it as a quasi-medicine or a medicine.

[0092] Furthermore, the cosmetics of the present invention can be manufactured simply by adding the emulsified cosmetics of the present invention according to their intended use and using known methods.

[0093] For example, the proportion of the emulsified cosmetic of the present invention in the cosmetic, relative to the total weight of the cosmetic, is generally 0.1% by weight or more, preferably 0.5% by weight or more, more preferably 1% by weight or more, further preferably 2% by weight or more, and particularly preferably 3% by weight or more. The upper limit is 100% by weight or less, preferably 80% by weight or less, more preferably 50% by weight or less, further preferably 40% by weight or less, particularly preferably 30% by weight or less, even more preferably 20% by weight or less, and most preferably 15% by weight or less. Therefore, the content of each component (A) to (D) and (E) of the emulsified cosmetic of the present invention in the obtained cosmetic of the present invention can be calculated considering the above proportions.

[0094] The cosmetics of this invention not only possess excellent emulsification stability and preservative properties but also have an attractive appearance, making them ideal for cosmetic applications. In particular, their excellent moisturizing properties, resulting from their emulsification stability, address skin or hair conditions caused by insufficient moisture, make them suitable for use as moisturizing cosmetics such as moisturizing toners, lotions, creams, gels, masks, or balms; skin conditioning cosmetics such as toners, lotions, creams, gels, masks, or balms; and hair conditioning cosmetics such as hair treatments and conditioners.

[0095] Regarding the term "preservative effect" used in this article, it means that reference can be made to "18th edition of the Japanese Pharmacopoeia, Reference Information G4. Microbial-related Preservative Efficacy Test Methods". <g4-3-170>Define it. For example, in the case of bacteria selected from Escherichia coli (… Escherichia coli ), Pseudomonas aeruginosa ( Pseudomonas aeruginosa Staphylococcus aureus Staphylococcus aureus These three bacteria, as well as Candida ( Candida albicans ), Aspergillus niger ( Aspergillus niger When these two types of fungi were tested for preservation efficacy, they showed preservation efficacy that met the criteria for Class IA preparations (including injections and non-oral preparations such as eye drops / ear drops / nasal drops) as described in the same method. That is, it means that the following conditions are met: [Bacteria] After 7 days: a decrease of more than 1.0 log compared to the inoculated bacterial count. 14 days later: The number of bacteria decreased by more than 3.0 log compared to the inoculated bacterial count. After 28 days: the bacterial count did not increase compared to after 14 days.

[0096] [Fungi] 7 days, 14 days, and 28 days later: No increase in bacterial count compared to inoculation.

[0097] It should be noted that the composition of this application is equivalent to a formulation made with a water-soluble matrix. As a cosmetic ingredient, the possibility of accidental contact with the eyes during processing can be fully anticipated. Therefore, a Class IA formulation (including non-oral preparations such as injections and ear / eye drops) from the Japanese Pharmacopoeia was selected.

[0099] In the manufacturing method of the present invention, the amount of component (A) added relative to the total weight of the emulsified cosmetic is generally 0.1% to 20% by weight, preferably 0.5% to 10% by weight, and more preferably 1% to 10% by weight.

[0100] In the manufacturing method of the present invention, the amount of component (B) added relative to the total weight of the emulsified cosmetic is generally 0.05% to 10% by weight, preferably 0.1% to 5% by weight, and more preferably 0.5% to 3% by weight.

[0101] In the manufacturing method of the present invention, the amount of component (C) added relative to the total weight of the emulsified cosmetic is generally 0.5% to 20% by weight, preferably 1% to 10% by weight, more preferably 2% to 8% by weight, further preferably 2.5% to 7.5% by weight, particularly preferably 3% to 7.5% by weight, and most preferably 4% to 7.5% by weight.

[0102] In the manufacturing method of the present invention, the content of carboxylate ions in the emulsified cosmetic is usually 0.5~10 mmol, preferably 1~10 mmol, and more preferably 1~8 mmol.

[0103] More specifically, the citrate ion content (in moles) in the emulsified cosmetic of the present invention is generally 0.5 to 10 mmol, preferably 1 to 10 mmol, and more preferably 1 to 8 mmol.

[0104] It should be noted that, for example, when adding citrate buffer as (D), it can be added as citrate buffer, or the components that make up citrate buffer, such as citric acid and sodium citrate, can be added separately.

[0105] The pH of the emulsified cosmetic of the present invention is typically 3 to 8, preferably 4.5 to 7.5, and more preferably 4.5 to 6.5.

[0110] The definitions and preferred ranges of components (A) to (E) are as described above.

[0111] To obtain a homogeneous oil phase by mixing the oil phase components, namely components (A) and (B), and any lipophilic additives added as needed, it is preferable to heat the oil phase components to approximately 70°C to 85°C while mixing. For the aqueous phase components containing components (C), (D), and (E), and any hydrophilic additives added as needed, it is also preferable to heat them to approximately 70°C to 85°C before mixing them with the oil phase.

[0112] In addition, the oil phase and water phase are mixed with a mixer or similar equipment for about 5 to 15 minutes to emulsify them, and then the mixture is cooled to 30°C to 50°C, preferably about 40°C.

[0113] The mixing of the oil and water phases can be carried out using conventional mixers such as mixers with impellers or homogenizers. High-pressure emulsification can be performed using high-pressure emulsifiers such as high-pressure homogenizers, microfluidizers, or ultra-high-pressure wet microparticle atomization devices. High-pressure emulsification can be carried out at 20°C to 90°C, preferably 20°C to 70°C, under a pressure of typically 100MPa to 250MPa, preferably 150MPa to 230MPa, with a pass count of typically 1 to 30, preferably 3 to 20.

[0114] The average particle size of the emulsified particles in the emulsified cosmetic obtained by the manufacturing method of the present invention is typically 90nm~200nm, preferably 90nm~180nm, and more preferably 90nm~170nm.

[0115] The emulsified cosmetic obtained by the manufacturing method of the present invention typically has a permeability of 25-90%, preferably 30-90%, and more preferably 45-90%.

[0116] The emulsified cosmetics obtained by the manufacturing method of the present invention have excellent emulsification stability, appearance and preservative properties at low and high temperatures, and can effectively exert the moisturizing and barrier functions of acyl amino acid esters.

[0117] The emulsified cosmetic obtained by the manufacturing method of this invention is also included in this invention. Such cosmetics have excellent moisturizing properties and can condition the skin or hair, and therefore can be used as moisturizing and skin-conditioning cosmetics.

[0118] The present invention also includes a method for manufacturing a cosmetic having a step of adding the emulsified cosmetic of the present invention (also referred to simply as the method for manufacturing the cosmetic of the present invention).

[0119] In the manufacturing method of the cosmetic of the present invention, the amount of emulsified cosmetic of the present invention added can be varied according to the type or purpose of the cosmetic. Relative to the total weight of the cosmetic, it is generally 0.1% by weight or more, preferably 0.5% by weight or more, more preferably 1% by weight or more, further preferably 2% by weight or more, and particularly preferably 3% by weight or more. The upper limit is 100% by weight or less, preferably 80% by weight or less, more preferably 50% by weight or less, further preferably 40% by weight or less, particularly preferably 30% by weight or less, even more preferably 20% by weight or less, and most preferably 15% by weight or less.

[0120] Other definitions and preferred ranges are as stated above.

[0121] The cosmetics obtained by the manufacturing method of the present invention are also included in the present invention. Because such cosmetics have excellent moisturizing properties and can condition the skin or hair, they can also be used as moisturizing and skin-conditioning cosmetics. Example

[0122] The present invention will be described in more detail below through examples.

[0123] (Experimental Example 1) 1. Preparation of emulsified cosmetics (1) Weigh the components of the oil phase and aqueous phase listed in Table 1 respectively, and dissolve them at 80°C for 10 minutes. In Table 1, the blank column corresponding to the component indicates that the component is not present.

[0124] (2) While adding the aqueous phase to the oil phase at 70°C, use a dispersion mixer at around 1500 rpm to emulsify it.

[0125] (3) After adding all of them, mix them further with a dispersion mixer for about 5 minutes.

[0126] (4) Remove the mixture and cool it to below about 40°C.

[0127] (5) Use a high-pressure emulsifier (Microfluidizer M-110EH, Powrex) to emulsify at a pressure of 200 MPa (approximately 30,000 psi) and 5 passes (fix the inlet temperature of the emulsifier at 35~40℃).

[0128] (6) The substance obtained by filtration of the emulsion using a cellulose ester filter at room temperature is used as an emulsified cosmetic.

[0129] 2. Particle size (average particle size) (1) Sample preparation: The emulsified cosmetic that has been restored to room temperature is diluted with MilliQ water to 1% by weight to prepare the sample.

[0130] (2) Measurement method: The test sample is filled into the PMMA cell and measured using the measuring device (ELS-Z2: Otsuka Electronics) at 25°C for a cumulative number of 70 times. The measured values are judged according to the following standards.

[0131] (3) Judgment criteria: △: Above 180nm 〇: 170nm or higher and lower than 180nm ◎: Below 170nm.

[0132] 3. Transmittance (1) Sample preparation: The emulsified cosmetic that has been restored to room temperature is diluted with MilliQ water to 1% by weight to prepare the sample.

[0133] (2) Measurement method: The test sample was filled into the PMMA cell, and the transmittance of light with a wavelength of 660 nm was measured using a spectrophotometer (SHIMADZU UV-1900) at 25℃ and an optical path length of 1 cm. The measured values were judged according to the following standards.

[0134] (3) Judgment criteria: △: Below 30%, ○: 30% or more but less than 45%, ◎: More than 45%.

[0135] 4. High-temperature stability (1) Sample preparation: Fill a 20mL PET container with about 60-70% emulsified cosmetics, store it in a constant temperature bath at 70℃ for 14 days, and then use the stored sample for testing.

[0136] (2) Evaluation and testing methods: The appearance (melt) of the emulsified cosmetic was visually observed by one professional reviewer, and the high temperature stability was evaluated according to the following evaluation criteria.

[0137] The pH of the sample at 70°C was measured using a pH meter (F-52, Horiba Manufacturing Co., Ltd.).

[0138] (3) Evaluation criteria: 〇: The decrease in pH before and after the test is less than 0.5, and no changes are found in appearance or properties; ×: Situations such as pH decrease of more than 0.5, separation, or changes in other properties were found before and after the experiment.

[0139] 5. Low-temperature stability (1) Sample preparation: Fill a 20mL PET container with about 60-70% of the sample, store it in a constant temperature bath at -5℃ for 14 days, and then use the stored sample for testing.

[0140] (2) Evaluation and measurement methods: The appearance (melting state) shall be visually observed by one professional reviewer, and the low temperature stability shall be evaluated according to the following evaluation criteria.

[0141] The transmittance of the diluted solution obtained by diluting the sample with MilliQ water to 1% by weight at 25°C was measured using a spectrophotometer (SHIMADZU UV-1900) with a path length of 1 cm and a wavelength of 660 nm.

[0142] (3) Evaluation criteria: 〇: The change in transmittance before and after the test is less than 10%, and no changes are found in appearance or properties; ×: A change in transmittance of more than 10% before and after the test, or a situation of consolidation / separation.

[0143] [Table 1] 6. Results As shown in Table 1, the compositions (2A, 7A, 10A) containing citrate buffer and pentanediol exhibit excellent particle size, permeability, and stability. Compositions without citrate buffer cannot avoid pH changes under high-temperature conditions or have inferior properties compared to other compositions. Furthermore, even compositions containing citrate buffer but with 1,2-hexanediol instead of pentanediol, will solidify at low temperatures. Additionally, using acetate buffer, aqueous citric acid solution, sodium dihydrogen phosphate solution, or aqueous acetic acid solution instead of citrate buffer cannot simultaneously achieve the desired physical properties and stability.

[0144] The results above show that emulsification stability is improved in emulsified cosmetics containing ingredients (A) to (D) and in emulsified cosmetics further containing ingredient (E).

[0145] (Experimental Example 2) 1. Sample preparation The test samples were prepared by mixing the components listed in Table 2 using the methods described in Test Examples 1(1) to (3). In Table 1, the blank column corresponding to a component indicates that the component is not present.

[0146] 2. Preservative properties (refer to the 18th edition of the Japanese Pharmacopoeia) (1) Test bacteria: Escherichia coli ( Escherichia coli NBRC 3972) (Ec in the table) Staphylococcus aureus ( Staphylococcus aureus NBRC 13276) (Sa in the table) (2) Preparation of test bacterial suspensions: Each test bacterium was pre-cultured on SCD agar medium at 32.5℃ for 20 hours. The cultured bacterial cells were scraped off with a platinum ring and suspended in sterile physiological saline to prepare approximately 10... 8 The bacterial culture was prepared at a concentration of 100 cells / mL and used as the test solution.

[0147] (3) Inoculation and preservation of bacteria: For each test bacterium, place 20g of sample in a sterile tubular bottle and inoculate with 0.15mL (10 mL per 1g sample). 5 ~10 6 Test bacterial suspensions (number of samples) were collected and stored at 22.5℃. Viable bacterial counts were determined on days 7, 14, 21, and 28.

[0148] (4) Determination of viable count: The SCDLP agar pouring method was used.

[0149] (5) Evaluation criteria ◎: Below 10 1 indivual, 0:10 1 More than 10 but less than 10 3 indivual, △:10 3 More than one.

[0150] [Table 2] 3.
