Configuration of downlink control information for transmit power control

Abstract

Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communication. The technology described herein relates to configuration of downlink control for transmit power control (TPC). A user equipment (UE) receives radio resource control (RRC) signaling indicating a starting position of a first block of a plurality of blocks in a downlink control signal. The RRC signaling indicates an index of a first uplink component carrier of a plurality of uplink component carriers, where the first block corresponds to the first uplink component carrier. The UE receives a subsequent downlink control signal including the plurality of blocks, where the first block includes a TPC command and / or a closed loop indicator associated with the first uplink component carrier. The UE transmits sounding reference signaling using the first uplink component carrier according to an uplink power based on the TPC command, the closed loop indicator, or both, in the first block associated with the first uplink component carrier.
