Description

Technical Field

[0001] This application relates to the field of communication technology, and in particular to a communication method and apparatus. Background Technology

[0002] The integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) scenario aims to merge wireless communication and sensing functions into a single system. In this scenario, signals used for communication (hereinafter referred to as communication signals) and signals used for sensing can share the same spectrum. However, there is currently no solution for determining the frequency domain resources of the sensing signals within this scenario. Summary of the Invention

[0003] This application provides a communication method and apparatus for providing a mechanism for determining the frequency domain resources of a sensed signal.

[0004] Firstly, embodiments of this application provide a communication method. This method can be applied to a first communication device. The first communication device can be the first communication device itself, a module within the first communication device, or a logic module or software capable of implementing all or part of the functions of the first communication device. Modules within the first communication device can be, for example, software modules, hardware modules, or a combination of both. Specific hardware modules within the first communication device include processors, communication modules, or circuits or chips responsible for communication functions. Chips can be, for example, modem chips (also known as baseband chips), system-on-chip (SoC) chips containing modem cores, or system-in-package (SIP) chips. The first communication device can be, for example, a mobile phone or an in-vehicle device. The following description uses the application of this method to a first communication device as an example.

[0005] The method includes: a first communication device receiving first information, the first information indicating a first frequency domain resource and a second frequency domain resource, the second frequency domain resource including one or more guard bands, the guard bands being used to isolate a sensing signal and a communication signal in the frequency domain, the first frequency domain resource including one or more guard bands and the sensing signal; transmitting or receiving the sensing signal in a third frequency domain resource, the third frequency domain resource being determined based on the first and second frequency domain resources. Optionally, the third frequency domain resource is determined based on the first and second frequency domain resources; for example, the third frequency domain resource is the remaining frequency domain resources in the first frequency domain resource excluding the second frequency domain resource.

[0006] Optionally, the first information may include two pieces of information, which respectively indicate a first frequency domain resource and a second frequency domain resource. These two pieces of information may be carried in different messages or in the same message. If these two pieces of information are carried in different messages, the order in which these different messages are sent can be arbitrary and is not limited thereto. The signal used for sensing includes signals dedicated to sensing (which may be called sensing signals), as well as signals with sensing and other functions, such as communication functions. When the signal used for sensing has both sensing and communication functions, it may also be called a communication-sensing fusion signal, a synsensing fusion signal, or a synsensing signal, etc.

[0007] The second frequency domain resource includes one or more guard bands, or it can be understood as the frequency domain resource including one or more guard bands. The guard band can also be called the guard bandwidth, or it may have other names. The number of these one or more guard bands can be 1, 2, 3, or a larger value; there is no specific limit to the number.

[0008] In this embodiment, the frequency domain resources (i.e., the third frequency domain resources) of the signal used for sensing can be determined based on the first frequency domain resources and the second frequency domain resources of one or more guard bands, providing a mechanism for determining the frequency domain resources of the signal used for sensing. By setting the one or more guard bands, mutual interference between the signal used for sensing and the communication signal in the frequency domain can be reduced, which is beneficial to improving the transmission quality of the communication signal and the signal used for sensing. In this embodiment, the third frequency domain resources are determined through the first and second frequency domain resources, which is equivalent to indirectly indicating the third frequency domain resources. Regardless of the bandwidth of the third frequency domain resources, the third frequency domain resources can be determined based on the method provided in this embodiment. That is, the solution provided in this embodiment does not limit the bandwidth of the third frequency domain resources. The transmission distance of the signal used for sensing may be long, so the bandwidth of the frequency domain resources of the signal used for sensing may be large. However, the solution provided in this embodiment does not limit the bandwidth of the third frequency domain resources, so the solution provided in this embodiment can be well applied to determining the frequency domain resources of the signal used for sensing.

[0009] In one possible implementation, the signal used for sensing is a linear frequency modulated signal.

[0010] Because the frequency of a linear frequency modulated (LFM) signal changes linearly with time, it is suitable for consuming a large bandwidth. Since signals used for sensing involve long-distance transmission and are also suitable for large bandwidth transmission, using LFM signals for sensing ensures the transmission quality of the signals.

[0011] In one possible implementation, any one of the one or more guard bands is located within a frequency domain cell, and the first sub-frequency domain cell included in any guard band is smaller than the bandwidth of the frequency domain cell. The first sub-frequency domain cell can be understood as the granularity of any guard band in the frequency domain (or simply frequency domain granularity), or the basic frequency domain cell occupied by any guard band in the frequency domain, such as the minimum frequency domain cell. Optionally, the frequency domain cell may be, for example, a resource block (RB), and the first sub-frequency domain cell may be, for example, a subcarrier.

[0012] The frequency domain granularity of the guard band (i.e., the first sub-frequency domain unit) is smaller than the bandwidth of the frequency domain unit, allowing the guard band bandwidth to be even smaller. For example, the guard band bandwidth can be smaller than the bandwidth of the frequency domain unit. In this case, the guard band occupies less frequency domain resources, and more frequency domain resources in the communication system can be used for transmitting communication signals or for sensing signals, which is beneficial to improving the effective utilization rate of frequency domain resources in the communication system.

[0013] In one possible implementation, the bandwidth of any guard band is less than the bandwidth of the frequency domain unit. Here, bandwidth can be understood as, or alternatively described as, bandwidth size or bandwidth dimension, etc.

[0014] This provides several possibilities for the bandwidth of the guard band. For example, if the bandwidth of the guard band is less than the bandwidth of the frequency domain unit, the guard band occupies less frequency domain resources, and more frequency domain resources in the communication system can be used to transmit communication signals or signals used for sensing, which is beneficial to improving the effective utilization rate of frequency domain resources in the communication system. In another possible implementation, the bandwidth of any guard band can also be greater than or equal to the bandwidth of the frequency domain unit to better isolate communication signals and signals used for sensing, and this is not limited.

[0015] In one possible implementation, the first information indicates a first frequency domain resource, including: the first information includes a first resource index value, which is used to indicate the first frequency domain resource. Optionally, the first frequency domain resource occupies N frequency domain units, where N is a positive integer. N can be, for example, 1, 2, or 3, and its value is not limited.

[0016] This approach allows for the reuse of existing resource index value indication methods to indicate the first frequency domain resource, which is beneficial for the compatibility of the embodiments of this application with existing technologies. For example, if the first frequency domain resource occupies a positive integer number of frequency domain units, the first information can indicate the first frequency domain resource by indicating the resource index value of N frequency domain units.

[0017] In one possible implementation, the first information indicates a second frequency domain resource, including: the first information indicating the bandwidth of any one of one or more guard bands; and / or, the first information indicating a relative position, whereby the relative position refers to the position of the second frequency domain resource relative to a third frequency domain resource. The relative position can also be understood as describing the position of at least one of the one or more guard bands relative to the signal being sensed in the frequency domain. Optionally, the bandwidths of any two of the one or more guard bands can be the same or different, and this is not limited.

[0018] Thus, providing multiple ways to indicate the second frequency domain resource with the first information allows for greater flexibility. For example, if different guard bands in one or more guard bands have the same bandwidth, the first information only needs to indicate the bandwidth of one guard band, without needing to indicate the bandwidth of each guard band, which helps save on the overhead of the first information. When the first information indicates a relative position, it facilitates the receiving end of the first information in determining the position of the third frequency domain resource relative to the second frequency domain resource.

[0019] In one possible implementation, the first information indicates the bandwidth of any guard band, including indicating at least one of the following: the bandwidth of a first sub-frequency domain unit included in any guard band, the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band, the relationship between the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit included in any guard band and the bandwidth of the second sub-frequency domain unit included in the frequency domain resources occupied by the communication signal, or the relationship between the bandwidth of any guard band and the bandwidth of a third frequency domain resource.

[0020] This provides multiple ways to indicate the bandwidth of any guard band, allowing for greater flexibility.

[0021] In one possible implementation, the first information indicates the bandwidth and number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band, including: the first information includes a first index, the first index indicating the bandwidth and number of first sub-frequency domain units included in the any guard band.

[0022] In this way, the first information can be used to indicate the bandwidth and number of the first sub-frequency domain units through the first index, which helps to save the bit overhead of the first information.

[0023] In one possible implementation, the first information indicating the relationship between the bandwidth of a first sub-frequency domain unit included in any guard band and the bandwidth of a second sub-frequency domain unit included in the frequency domain resources occupied by the communication signal includes: the first information includes a second index, the second index indicating the relationship between the bandwidth of a first sub-frequency domain unit included in any guard band and the bandwidth of a second sub-frequency domain unit included in the frequency domain resources occupied by the communication signal.

[0024] In this way, the first information can be used to indicate the relationship between the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit and the bandwidth of the second sub-frequency domain unit through the second index, which helps to save the bit overhead of the first information.

[0025] In one possible implementation, the second index also indicates the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band. Thus,

[0026] In this way, the first information can be used to indicate the number of first sub-frequency domain units through the second index, which can further save the bit overhead of the first information.

[0027] In one possible implementation, the first information indicates the relationship between the bandwidth of any guard band and the bandwidth of a third frequency domain resource, including: the first information includes a third index, which indicates the relationship between the bandwidth of any guard band and the bandwidth of a third frequency domain resource.

[0028] In this way, the first information can be used through the third index to indicate the relationship between the bandwidth of any guard band and the bandwidth of the third frequency domain resources, thus saving the bit overhead of the first information.

[0029] In one possible implementation, the first information indicates a relative position, including: the first information includes a fourth index indicating a first pattern, the first pattern representing the position of the second frequency domain resource relative to the third frequency domain resource.

[0030] In this way, the first information can be used to indicate the relative position through the fourth index, which can save the bit overhead of the first information.

[0031] In one possible implementation, the first pattern indicates that: the third frequency domain resource is continuous with the frequency domain resource of any guard band, and the frequency domain resource of any guard band is continuous with the frequency domain resource of the communication signal, wherein the frequency domain resource of any guard band is located between the first frequency domain resource and the frequency domain resource of the communication signal; or, the frequency domain resource of the first guard band and the third frequency domain resource are continuous, and the third frequency domain resource is continuous with the frequency domain resource of the second guard band, wherein the third frequency domain resource is located between the frequency domain resources of the first guard band and the frequency domain resources of the second guard band, and the first guard band and the second guard band are two of one or more guard bands.

[0032] This provides the possibility of a first pattern. In any of the first patterns described above, the communication signal and the sensing signal can be separated by a guard band, reducing interference between the two signals.

[0033] In one possible implementation, the method further includes: receiving second information indicating the type of a first sub-frequency domain unit included in any of one or more guard bands, wherein the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit is less than the bandwidth of a frequency domain unit. The type of the first sub-frequency domain unit indicates what kind of first sub-frequency domain unit it is, such as the first sub-frequency domain unit being a subcarrier or an RB.

[0034] This allows the receiving end, which receives the second information, to promptly identify the type of the first sub-frequency domain unit of the guard band, facilitating the subsequent determination of one or more guard bands based on the first information.

[0035] In one possible implementation, the first sub-frequency domain unit included in any of one or more guard bands is a subcarrier.

[0036] The first sub-frequency domain unit uses a subcarrier smaller than RB, which helps reduce the minimum bandwidth of the guard band. For example, when the frequency domain resources occupied by the guard band are less than RB, more frequency domain resources in the communication system can be used for transmitting communication signals or for sensing signals, which helps improve the resource utilization of the communication system. Furthermore, since the protocol defines the content of the subcarrier, the content of the first sub-frequency domain unit can reuse parts of the protocol, which helps reduce modifications to the protocol.

[0037] Secondly, embodiments of this application provide a communication method. This method can be applied to a second communication device. The second communication device can be the second communication device itself, a module within the second communication device, or a logic module or software capable of implementing all or part of the functions of the second communication device. Modules within the second communication device can be, for example, software modules, hardware modules, or a combination of software and hardware. Hardware modules within the second communication device can specifically include processors, communication modules, or circuits or chips responsible for communication functions. Chips can be, for example, modem chips, also known as baseband chips, or SoC chips or SIP chips containing modem cores. The second communication device can be, for example, an access network device, specifically a base station. The following description uses the application of this method to a second communication device as an example.

[0088] The embodiments of this application will now be described in further detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0089] The solutions provided in this application can be applied to communication systems including a first communication device and a second communication device. Communication systems include, for example, 4th generation (4G) mobile communication systems (such as Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks), 5th generation (5G) mobile communication systems (such as New Radio (NR) systems), future evolution mobile communication systems, non-terrestrial networks (NTN) systems, fusion systems of one or more of the above communication systems, or other communication systems. NTN, for example, is a satellite communication system. A fusion system could be a system that integrates a satellite communication system with other communication systems.

[0090] Both the first and second communication devices have communication capabilities. The communication devices (such as the first or second communication device) involved in the various embodiments of this application can be understood as equipment, software or hardware modules within equipment, or logic modules, etc., and are not specifically limited thereto. Furthermore, the communication device can also be replaced by concepts such as network element, equipment, entity, or node.

[0091] The following is combined with Figure 1 This document presents a schematic diagram of the structure of a communication system provided in an embodiment of this application. Alternatively, it can be described as follows: Figure 1 This is a schematic diagram of the structure of a sensor fusion system or a communication and sensing integrated system. Figure 1 This diagram illustrates a first communication device and a second communication device. The first communication device can communicate with the second communication device.

[0092] Sensing modes can include single-site sensing mode and dual-site sensing mode. Single-site sensing mode, also known as self-transmitting and self-receiving mode, refers to the same device transmitting the sensing signal and receiving the echo signal reflected from the target. Dual-site sensing mode, also known as A-transmitting and B-receiving mode or self-transmitting and other-receiving mode, refers to different devices transmitting the sensing signal and receiving the echo signal reflected from the target.

[0093] For example, in single-station sensing mode, the first communication device can transmit signals for sensing, such as sensing signals. After the sensing signals are reflected, scattered, refracted, or diffracted by the target, the first communication device receives the echo signals of the sensing signals. Furthermore, the first communication device can also transmit communication signals to the second communication device.

[0094] Signals used for sensing include signals specifically designed for sensing (which can be called sensing signals), as well as signals with sensing and other functions, such as communication functions. When a signal used for sensing has both sensing and communication functions, it can also be called a communication-sensing fusion signal, a fusion signal, or a fusion signal, etc. The sensing signal is also called a detection signal, linear frequency modulated signal, radar signal, radar sensing signal, radar detection signal, or environmental sensing signal, etc., and its name is not limited. For example, a fusion signal can be a pulse signal or a signal used in wireless communication; for example, a fusion signal can be a reference signal used for sensing. For simplicity, the embodiments of this application use a sensing signal as an example. That is, the sensing signal in each embodiment of this application can be replaced with a signal used for sensing. The communication signal is a signal used to implement communication. For example, a communication signal can be a signal specifically designed for communication. A communication signal can also have functions other than communication, and this is not limited.

[0095] The target can be referred to as the perceived target, the detected target, the perceived object, the detected object, or the perceived device, etc., without limitation. The target can be any object in the environment capable of reflecting electromagnetic waves, such as mountains, forests, or buildings, and can also include mobile objects such as vehicles, drones, people, and terminal devices. Depending on the type of processing of the perceived signal, the target can also be classified into different types. For example, if the target scatters the perceived signal, it can be considered a scattering body or a scattering target. Conversely, if the target reflects the perceived signal, it can be considered a reflecting body or a reflecting target.

[0096] For example, in a dual-station sensing mode, the second communication device can send a sensing signal. After the sensing signal is reflected, scattered, refracted, or diffracted by the target, the first communication device receives the echo signal of the sensing signal. Furthermore, the second communication device can also send communication signals to the first communication device.

[0097] For example, in a dual-station sensing mode, the first communication device can send a sensing signal. After the sensing signal is reflected, scattered, refracted, or diffracted by the target, the second communication device receives the echo signal of the sensing signal. Furthermore, the first communication device can also send communication signals to the second communication device.

[0098] In one possible implementation, the first communication device can be a terminal device, or a component of a terminal device, such as a chip or chip system disposed in the terminal device. The second communication device can be a network device, or a component of a network device, such as a chip or chip system disposed in the network device.

[0099] In another possible implementation, both the first and second communication devices are network devices, or components of network devices, such as chips or chip systems disposed within network devices. For example, the first communication device is a base station, and the second communication device is a micro base station. Alternatively, both the first and second communication devices may be satellites.

[0100] The concepts of terminal equipment and network equipment are introduced below.

[0101] A terminal device is a user-side device with wireless transceiver capabilities. Terminal devices can also be called terminals, user equipment (UE), mobile stations, mobile terminals, etc. They are widely used in various scenarios, such as device-to-device (D2D), vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication, machine-type communication (MTC), the Internet of Things (IoT), virtual reality, augmented reality, industrial control, autonomous driving, telemedicine, smart grids, smart furniture, smart offices, smart wearables, smart transportation, and smart cities. Terminal devices can be mobile phones, tablets, computers with wireless transceiver capabilities, wearable devices, vehicles, drones, helicopters, airplanes, ships, robots, robotic arms, smart home devices, etc. Terminal devices typically contain communication modules, circuits, or chips that perform the corresponding communication functions. They can also be configured with program instructions for performing these functions. In the embodiments of this application, the device for implementing the functions of the terminal device can be the terminal device itself, or it can be any device that supports the terminal device in implementing the functions, such as a chip system or a combination of devices or components that can implement the functions of the terminal device. This device can be installed in the terminal device. The embodiments of this application do not limit the specific technology or device form used in the terminal device.

[0102] In this embodiment of the application, the functions of the terminal device can also be performed by modules (such as chips or modems) in the terminal device, or by a device containing the functions of the terminal device.

[0103] A network device is a network-side device with wireless transceiver capabilities. A network device can be a device or module located on the network side of a communication system and possessing corresponding communication functions. Network devices typically contain communication modules, circuits, or chips that perform the corresponding communication functions. They also contain program instructions for performing these functions, as well as the corresponding program instructions themselves. A network device can be a device in a radio access network (RAN) that provides wireless communication functions to terminal devices; it is called RAN equipment or access network equipment. A network device can also be a device in a core network (CN) that provides wireless communication functions to terminal devices; it is called core network equipment. The RAN can be an access network in the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), such as 4G, 5G, or future-oriented 6G networks. The RAN can also be an open RAN (O-RAN / ORAN), a cloud radio access network (CRAN), or a communication network combining two or more of these networks.

[0104] RAN equipment can also be a base station, an evolved NodeB (eNodeB), a transmission reception point (TRP), a next-generation NodeB (gNB) in a 5G mobile communication system, a base station in a 6G mobile communication system, a base station in a future mobile communication system, or an access node in a wireless fidelity (WIFI) system, etc.

[0105] RAN equipment can also be modules or units that perform some of the functions of a base station. For example, it can be a central unit (CU) (or control unit, CU), a distributed unit (DU), or a radio unit (RU) (or wireless unit). The CU, for example, performs the functions of the base station's Radio Resource Control Protocol (RRCP) and Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP), and can also perform the functions of the Service Data Adaptation Protocol (SDAP). The DU performs the functions of the base station's Radio Link Control (RAN) layer and Media Access Control / Medium Access Control (MAC) layer, and can also perform some or all of the physical layer functions. For specific descriptions of the above protocol layers, please refer to the relevant 3GPP technical specifications. The CU and DU can be set up separately or included in the same network element, such as in the baseband unit (BBU). An RU can be included in a radio frequency (RF) device or RF unit, such as a remote radio unit (RRU), an active antenna unit (AAU), or a remote radio head (RRH). In different systems, CU, DU, or RU may have different names, but those skilled in the art will understand their meaning. For example, in an ORAN system, CU can also be called O-CU (open CU), DU can also be called O-DU, and RU can also be called O-RU. Any of the units such as CU, DU, and RU in the various embodiments of this application can be implemented through software modules, hardware modules, or a combination of software and hardware modules. RA equipment can be a macro base station, a micro base station, an indoor station, a relay node, or a donor node, etc. The embodiments of this application do not limit the specific technology or equipment form used in the network equipment.

[0106] In the embodiments of this application, the functions of the network device can be executed by modules (such as chips) within the network device, or by a control subsystem that includes the functions of the network device. This control subsystem, which includes the functions of the network device, can be a control center in the aforementioned application scenarios such as smart grids, industrial control, intelligent transportation, and smart cities.

[0107] Network devices and terminal devices can be fixed in location or mobile. They can be deployed on land, including indoors or outdoors, handheld or vehicle-mounted; they can also be deployed on water; and they can be deployed in the air on aircraft, balloons, and satellites. The embodiments of this application do not limit the application scenarios of the network devices and terminal devices. The roles of network devices and terminal devices can be relative.

[0108] Please refer to Figure 2 This is a satellite communication system to which the solution provided in the embodiments of this application is applicable. Figure 2 This can serve as an example of a satellite communication system in regenerative mode. Figure 2 This diagram illustrates a satellite base station (also referred to as a satellite) and terminal equipment. Figure 2 The terminal device shown can be used as Figure 1 An example of the first communication device in the, and Figure 2 The satellite base station shown can be used as Figure 1 An example of a second communication device in [the context].

[0109] Satellite base stations provide communication services to terminal devices, including smartphones, smartwatches, tablets, and other similar devices. Satellite base stations transmit downlink data to terminal devices, where the data is encoded using channel coding. The channel-coded data is then modulated by constellation before being transmitted to the terminal device. Terminal devices transmit uplink data to satellite base stations, which can also be encoded using channel coding. The encoded data is then modulated by constellation before being transmitted to the satellite base station. Satellite base stations can also communicate with each other. A satellite can function as both a base station and a terminal device. Satellite base stations can refer to drones, hot air balloons, low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellites, medium-Earth orbit (MEO) satellites, high-Earth orbit (HEO) satellites, etc. Satellite base stations can also refer to non-terrestrial base stations or non-terrestrial equipment.

[0110] Please refer to Figure 3 This is another satellite communication system to which the solution provided in the embodiments of this application is applicable. Figure 2 This can serve as an example of a satellite communication system in transparent mode. Figure 3 This diagram illustrates satellites, base stations, and terminal equipment. Optionally, the APT module of any satellite can be responsible for inter-satellite acquisition, pointing, and tracking. The communication module of any satellite can be responsible for the transmission of inter-satellite communication signals. Optionally, each satellite (such as the first or second satellite) may also include a transceiver antenna and an APT transmit / receive module. The transceiver antenna is used to receive or transmit communication signals from other devices. The APT transmit / receive module is used to transmit and receive reference signals between satellites, etc.

Optionally, this communication system can be deployed in a 5G communication system or other wireless communication systems, and is not limited thereto. The link between the IAB parent node and the IAB nodes is a backhaul link, and the link between the terminal device and the nodes is an access link. The terminal device can be used as... [0116] The following is combined Figures 8 to 10 The architecture of the network devices (specifically access network devices) mentioned above will be illustrated with examples.

[0117] like Figure 8 As shown in the figure, the access network equipment (RAN, such as an eNB, gNB, or next-generation access network equipment) communicates with the core network equipment via a backhaul link. The access network equipment can communicate with the UE via the air interface.

[0118] For example, the BBU in the access network equipment communicates with the CN via the backhaul link, and the RU in the access network equipment communicates with at least one UE via the air interface. The BBU communicates with at least one RU via the fronthaul link. The BBU and RU may or may not be co-located.

[0119] The BBU includes at least one CU and at least one DU, and the CU and DU can communicate via at least one midhaul link.

[0120] Figure 9 This diagram illustrates the architecture of an O-RAN system according to an embodiment of this application. O-RAN defines the architectural connections and interface standardization between various modules within the RAN, allowing such a RAN to be decomposed into multiple modules. Because of the standardized interfaces, it can be assembled from modules provided by different equipment vendors.

[0121] like Figure 9As shown, O-RAN can include O-CU, O-DU, and O-RU. O-CU includes O-CU-CP and O-CU-UP. The system architecture can also include an open cloud (O-cloud), a service management and orchestration framework (SMO), an open eNB (O-eNB), and a RANintelligent controller (RIC), including near-real-time (RT) RICs (which can be abbreviated as Near-RT RICs) and non-real-time (non-RT) RICs (which can be abbreviated as non-RT RICs). Figure 9 The O-RAN system shown, or one or more modules included in the O-RAN system, can be used as an example of a first or second device.

[0122] SMO functions similarly to a network manager, operating, maintaining, and managing cloud infrastructure.

[0123] Non-RT RICs are used to implement non-real-time intelligent management of RAN functions, such as enabling AI / ML workflows including model training and model updates, and guiding applications / functions within the Near-RT RIC based on policies. Non-RT RICs can reside within the SMO.

[0124] Near-RT RIC is used to achieve near real-time intelligent management of the RAN. Through data collection and related operations on the E2 interface, it enables near real-time control and optimization of O-RAN modules and resources.

[0125] The O-CU is used to implement the RRC layer, PDCP layer, SDAP layer, and other control functions in the 3GPP standard. The O-CU includes O-CU-CP and O-CU-UP.

[0126] The open control unit-control plane (O-CU-CP), similar to the CU-CP in the NR system, is used to implement the functions of the RRC layer and the control plane functions of the PDCP layer.

[0127] The open control unit-user plane (O-CU-UP), similar to the CU-UP in the NR system, is used to implement the functions of the SDAP layer and the user plane functions of the PDCP layer.

[0128] O-DU, based on low-layer function segmentation, is used to implement the radio link control (RLC) layer, MAC layer, and higher physical layer (Higher PHY / H-PHY) in the 3GPP standard. Among them, the higher physical layer functions include one or more of the following: forward error correction (FEC) encoding / decoding, scrambling / descrambling, or modulation / demodulation.

[0129] O-RU, based on low-layer function partitioning, is used to implement lower physical layer (Lower PHY / L-PHY) functions and radio frequency (RF) functions in the 3GPP standard. Low physical layer functions include one or more of the following: Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) / Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (iFFT), digital beamforming, or extraction and filtering of the physical random access channel (PRACH). It is similar to the Transmission Reception Point (TRP) or RRH in 3GPP, but includes low physical layer functions such as FFT / iFFT or PRACH extraction.

[0130] O-Cloud, as a cloud computing platform, includes physical infrastructure nodes for hosting O-RAN functions such as RIC and O-DU, as well as supporting software components (such as operating systems, virtual machine monitoring, container runtimes), management, and orchestration functions.

[0131] The following is about Figure 9 The interfaces involved will be introduced.

[0132] The A1 interface serves as the interface between the Non-RT RIC and the Near-RT RIC, enabling intelligent and dynamic control of radio resources within the O-RAN. The Non-RT RIC provides policies, rich information, and ML model updates to the Near-RT RIC via the A1 interface, while the Near-RT RIC provides policy feedback to the Non-RT RIC via the A1 interface.

[0133] The E2 interface is an open interface between two endpoints used to connect the Near-RT RIC and the RAN node. RAN nodes include, for example, CU and DU in 5G, O-RAN compatible eNB in 4G, O-CU (O-CU-CP and / or O-CU-UP) in O-RAN, and / or O-DU, etc. The RIC can obtain data collection and feedback from the RAN node through the E2 node, and the RAN node can obtain control feedback from the Near-RT RIC through the E2 node.

[0134] The O1 interface is the interface between the management entity in the SMO and the O-RAN module, used for operation management. This interface enables FCAPS management, software management, and file management. The O2 interface is the interface between the SMO and the infrastructure management framework that supports O-RAN virtual network functions.

[0135] The Open Front Haul Control, User and Synchronization (FHCUS) plane interface includes a control plane (C-Plane), a user plane (U-Plane), and a synchronization plane (S-Plane). The control plane is used for real-time control between the O-DU and O-RU, such as transmitting beamforming weights from the O-DU to the O-RU or performing power control from the O-DU to the O-RU. The user plane is used to transmit communication data between the DU and RU for access network devices and terminals. The synchronization plane is used by the O-DU to provide clock synchronization for the O-RU.

[0136] The NG interface is the interface between NR RAN equipment (such as base stations, CUs, CU-CPs, or CU-UPs) and the NR core network. NG-u is the user plane NG interface, and NG-c is the control plane NG interface. The Xn interface is the interface between NR RAN equipment (such as base stations, CUs, CU-CPs, or CU-UPs). Xn-u is the user plane Xn interface, and Xn-c is the control plane Xn interface.

[0137] The X2 interface is used between LTE RAN devices. X2-u is the user plane X2 interface, and X2-c is the control plane X2 interface. In NR, the X2 interface is mainly used in E-UTRA-NR dual connectivity (evolved universal terrestrial radio access dual connectivity, EN-DC) scenarios, where the master station is an LTE RAN device connected to the LTE core network via the X2 interface. The E1 interface is used between CU-CP and CU-UP. The F1-C interface is used between CU-CP and DU. The F1-U interface is used between CU-UP and DU.

[0138] In the O-RAN architecture, the module that receives the reported difference between the twin channel and the measurement channel may be a CU, RT RIC, or Non-RT RIC, etc. The DU is responsible for receiving signals, signal processing, multipath measurement, channel difference calculation, etc.

[0139] Figure 9 The names of the interfaces and the connection methods of the units shown are examples. In actual applications, O-RAN systems may include more or fewer interfaces, or more or fewer units.

[0140] Figure 10 This paper presents a diagram showing the functional division of network elements and the protocol layer structure under an O-RAN architecture.

[0141] like Figure 10 As shown, the CU can be a logical node that carries the RRC layer, SDAP layer, PDCP layer, and other control functions of access network equipment. The CU connects to network nodes such as the core network through interfaces, which can be interfaces such as E2 interfaces. Optionally, the CU can have some core network functions. The CU (e.g., PDCP layer and higher layers) connects to the DU (e.g., RLC layer and lower layers) through interfaces, which can be interfaces such as F1 interfaces. In some examples, these interfaces (e.g., F1 interfaces) can provide control plane (C-Plane) and user plane (U-Plane) functions (e.g., interface management, system information management, UE context management, RRC message transmission, etc.). F1AP is the application protocol of the F1 interface, defining the F1 signaling procedures in some examples. The F1 interface supports control plane F1-C and user plane F1-U.

[0142] In some examples, the CU can be split into CU-CP and CU-UP, where CU-CP is a logical node that carries the RRC layer and the PDCP control plane (PDCP-C) layer, and is used to implement the control plane function of the CU.

[0143] The CU-CP can interact with network elements in the core network used to implement control plane functions. These network elements can be access and mobility function (AMF) network elements, such as AMF in 5G systems. AMF network elements are responsible for mobility management in the mobile network, such as terminal device location updates, terminal device registration with the network, and terminal device handover. The CU-UP is a logical node carrying the SDAP layer and the PDCP user plane (PDCP-U) layer, used to implement the CU's user plane functions.

[0144] The CU-UP can interact with network elements in the core network used to implement user plane functions. These network elements, such as the user plane function (UPF) in a 5G system, are responsible for forwarding and receiving data in terminal devices. The above CU and DU configurations are merely examples; the functions of the CU and DU can be configured as needed. For instance, the CU or DU can be configured to have more protocol layer functions, or only some protocol layer processing functions. For example, some RLC layer functions and protocol layer functions above the RLC layer can be placed in the CU, while the remaining RLC layer functions and protocol layer functions below the RLC layer can be placed in the DU. Furthermore, the functions of the CU or DU can be divided according to service type or other system requirements, such as latency. Functions requiring low latency can be placed in the DU, while functions not requiring this latency can be placed in the CU.

[0145] In some examples, the DU is a logical node that carries the RLC layer, MAC layer, Higher PHY layer, and other functions. In some examples, the DU can control at least one RU. The DU connects to the RU through interfaces, which can be fronthaul interfaces. In some examples, the Higher PHY layer includes the PHY layer processing, such as forward error correction (FEC) encoding and decoding, scrambling, modulation, and demodulation.

[0146] In some examples, the RU is a logical node carrying both Lower PHY and RF processing. In some examples, the RU can be an entity with TRP or RRH or other similar functions in 3GPP. In some examples, Low-PHY includes PHY processing functions such as Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT), digital beamforming, and filtering. The RU communicates with one or more UEs via a radio link.

[0147] The DU and RU can be co-located or not. The DU and RU exchange control plane and user plane information via a fronthaul link through a lower-layer split-control, user, and synchronization (LLS-CUS) interface. LLS-CUS may include LLS-C and LLS-U interfaces providing the control plane (C-Plane) and user plane (U-Plane), respectively. In some examples, the control plane (C-Plane) refers to real-time control between the DU and RU. The DU and RU exchange management information via an LLS-M interface on the fronthaul link; the management plane (M-Plane) refers to non-real-time management operations between the DU and RU. Optionally, a management system can be managed via the LLS-M interface.

[0148] DU and RU can cooperate to implement the functions of the PHY layer. A DU can be connected to one or more RUs. The functions of DU and RU can be configured in various ways depending on the design. For example, a DU can be configured to implement baseband functions, and an RU can be configured to implement mid-RF functions. Another example is that a DU can be configured to implement higher-level functions in the PHY layer, and an RU can be configured to implement lower-level functions in the PHY layer, or to implement both lower-level and RF functions. Higher-level functions in the physical layer can include a portion of the physical layer's functions that are closer to the MAC layer, while lower-level functions in the physical layer can include another portion of the physical layer's functions that are closer to the mid-RF side.

[0149] Figures 1 to 10 This is an example of a communication system applicable to the embodiments of this application, and does not actually limit the communication systems applicable to the embodiments of this application.

[0150] The following is a description of some of the terms used in the embodiments of this application.

[0151] In this application embodiment, "at least one" refers to one or more, and "more than one" refers to two or more. "And / or" describes the relationship between related objects, indicating that three relationships can exist. For example, A and / or B can represent: A alone, A and B simultaneously, or B alone, where A and B can be singular or plural. The character " / " generally indicates that the preceding and following related objects are in an "or" relationship. "At least one of the following" or similar expressions refer to any combination of these items, including any combination of single or plural items. For example, at least one of a, b, or c can represent: a, b, c, ab, ac, bc, or abc, where a, b, and c can be single or multiple.

[0152] In the embodiments of this application, "send" and "receive" indicate the direction of signal transmission. For example, "send information to XX" can be understood as the destination of the information being XX, which may include direct transmission via the air interface or indirect transmission by other units or modules via the air interface. "Receive information from YY" can be understood as the source of the information being YY, which may include direct reception from YY via the air interface or indirect reception from YY by other units or modules via the air interface. "Send" can also be understood as the "output" of the chip interface, and "receive" can also be understood as the "input" of the chip interface. In other words, sending and receiving can occur between devices, such as between network devices and terminal devices, or within a device, such as between components, modules, chips, software modules, or hardware modules within the device via a bus, wiring, or interface. It is understood that information may undergo necessary processing, such as encoding and modulation, between the source and destination of information transmission, but the destination can understand the valid information from the source. Similar expressions in this application can be understood in a similar way and will not be repeated here.

[0153] In the embodiments of this application, "when," "if," and "if" all refer to the device taking corresponding actions under certain objective circumstances, not a time limit, nor do they require the device to perform a judgment action, nor do they imply any other limitations. Unless otherwise specified, "if" and "if" are interchangeable, and "when" and "in the case of" are interchangeable. "When" and "if" / "if" are interchangeable. In the embodiments of this application, "*" can be used to represent "multiplication."

[0154] The ordinal numbers such as "first" and "second" mentioned in the embodiments of this application are used to distinguish multiple objects and are not used to limit the size, content, order, timing, priority, or importance of the multiple objects. For example, "first frequency domain resource" and "second frequency domain resource" refer to two different frequency domain resources, and do not indicate that the bandwidth, content, priority, or importance of these two frequency domain resources are different. Words such as "exemplary" or "for example" are used to indicate that they are examples, illustrations, or explanations. Any embodiment or design scheme described as "exemplary" or "for example" in this application should not be construed as being more preferred or more advantageous than other embodiments or design schemes. Specifically, the use of words such as "exemplary" or "for example" is intended to present the relevant concepts in a specific manner.

[0155] A guard band, also known as a guard bandwidth, is a frequency range within a frequency band used to isolate adjacent signals and prevent interference. The frequency domain granularity of the guard band can be the first sub-frequency domain unit. This granularity can also be referred to as the basic frequency domain unit (or simply basic unit) or granularity of the guard band in the frequency domain, describing the basic frequency domain units that can be divided within the guard band. The basic frequency domain unit is, for example, the smallest frequency domain unit. The first sub-frequency domain unit can be, for example, a subcarrier or a resource block (RB), etc., and is not limited in this respect. If the frequency domain granularity of the guard band is the first sub-frequency domain unit, then the guard band includes one or more first sub-frequency domain units.

[0156] Currently, the frequency domain granularity (i.e., the first sub-frequency domain unit) of the guard band defined in the 3GPP protocol is RB.

[0157] Please refer to Figure 11 This is a schematic diagram of a guard band under 3GPP. (For example...) Figure 11 As shown, channel bandwidth includes transmission bandwidth and guard band. Channel bandwidth is the total bandwidth of spectrum resources allocated to the operator, such as 100 MHz in 5G NR. Transmission bandwidth refers to the bandwidth actually used for data transmission, which can be determined by the subcarrier spacing (SCS) and the maximum number of redundancy blocks (RBs). Transmission bandwidth includes multiple redundancy blocks (RBs). During actual transmission, some or all of the RBs in the transmission bandwidth may be activated for transmission. Guard bands can be set on both sides of the channel bandwidth. One guard band is set along the channel edge of the channel bandwidth. Guard bands can reduce signal interference between different channel bandwidths. Figure 1 The frequency domain granularity of the guard band is RB.

[0158] Figure 12This diagram illustrates the guard bands between multiple channel bandwidths under 3GPP. Figure 12 As shown, the three channel bandwidths each include a transmission bandwidth and a guard band. The low-frequency channel bandwidth includes the low-frequency transmission bandwidth, which can also be called the lowest carrier. The high-frequency channel bandwidth includes the high-frequency transmission bandwidth, which can also be called the highest carrier. Guard bands are set between adjacent channel bandwidths in these three bandwidths. Furthermore, one guard band in the low-frequency channel bandwidth is located along the lower edge, and one guard band in the high-frequency channel bandwidth is located along the high-frequency edge.

[0159] The 3GPP protocol defines the channel bandwidth types and their maximum transmission bandwidth percentages under different SCSs, as detailed in Tables 1 and 2 below. Table 1 shows the channel bandwidth and transmission bandwidth percentages supported by frequency 1 (FR1). Table 1 uses an SCS of 15 kHz as an example. Table 2 shows the channel bandwidth and transmission bandwidth percentages supported by frequency 2 (FR2). Table 2 uses an SCS of 30 kHz as an example.

[0160] Table 1

[0161]

[0162] For example, with a channel bandwidth of 5MHz, the maximum number of RBs is 25. Of this 5MHz, the transmission bandwidth accounts for 90%, and the bandwidth outside the transmission bandwidth may be used as a guard band. And so on; the details in Table 1 will not be listed here.

[0163] Table 2

[0164]

[0165] For example, with a channel bandwidth of 5MHz, the maximum number of RBs is 11. The transmission bandwidth accounts for 79.2% of this 5MHz, and the bandwidth other than the transmission bandwidth may be used as a guard band. And so on; the details in Table 2 will not be listed here.

[0166] In 5G NR, the index of the Resource Block (RB) occupied by a communication signal is implemented using a Resource Indicator Value (RIV). The RIV is an integer used to uniquely identify an RB within the resource grid. Protocol 38214 defines a formula for deriving the RIV from the starting RB and RB length, which can be found below.

[0167] exist In the case of, then otherwise,

[0168] Among them, RB start This represents an offset, such as the offset of the starting frequency domain position of a communication signal relative to a reference frequency domain position. L RBs This indicates the length of the frequency domain resources occupied by the communication signal. This indicates the number of bandwidth blocks (RBs) included in the bandwidth part (BWP), for example, 275. BWP can be the actual bandwidth used during transmission. The bandwidth of BWP can be less than or equal to the transmission bandwidth.

[0169] In 5G communication systems, access network equipment can send signaling carrying local bandwidth information cells to terminal equipment. These cells indicate the local area recognition (RIV). Based on the RIV, the terminal equipment can determine the starting frequency domain location and length of the communication signal's frequency domain resources, thus identifying the frequency domain resources of the communication signal.

[0170] However, in a communication-sensing fusion system, sensing signals and communication signals can share the same spectrum. Currently, there is no solution for determining the frequency domain resources of the sensing signals.

[0171] In view of this, embodiments of this application provide a communication method. In this method, the frequency domain resources (such as referred to as third frequency domain resources) of the sensing signal can be determined based on the frequency domain resources of one or more guard bands (i.e., second frequency domain resources) and the frequency domain resources carrying the guard bands and the sensing signal (i.e., first frequency domain resources). Thus, a mechanism for determining the frequency domain resources of the sensing signal is provided.

[0172] The communication method provided in the embodiments of this application will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the accompanying drawings corresponding to the various embodiments of this application, all steps indicated by dashed lines are optional steps.

[0173] Furthermore, the first communication device involved in the various embodiments of this application is, for example, Figure 1 The first communication device involved, Figure 2 The terminal equipment involved Figure 3 The terminal equipment involved Figure 4 The second satellite involved Figure 5 The terminal equipment involved Figure 6 The terminal equipment involved Figure 7 The terminal equipment or IAB nodes involved Figure 8 The user equipment involved, and the second communication device, are, for example, Figure 1 The second communication device involved Figure 2The satellite base stations involved Figure 3 The satellites and / or base stations involved Figure 4 The first satellite involved, Figure 5 The base stations involved Figure 6 The wireless screen projection devices involved Figure 7 The parent node or IAB node involved Figure 8 At least one of the following is involved: CU, DU, or RU. Figure 9 At least one of the O-CU, O-DU or O-RU involved, or Figure 10 The system must include at least one of the following: CU, DU, or RU. Furthermore, as standards evolve, the name and / or function of communication devices may change, but this is not a limitation.

[0174] Figure 13 This is a schematic diagram illustrating a communication method provided in an embodiment of this application. The following describes... Figure 13 The steps involved will be described. Figure 13 The example described uses a sensing signal as the basis for illustration. However, the sensing signal can have other functions besides sensing, and this is not a limitation. In other words, the sensing signal mentioned in the embodiments of this application can be replaced with any signal used for sensing.

[0175] S1301, the second communication device sends first information to the first communication device. Correspondingly, the first communication device receives the first information from the second communication device.

[0176] For example, the first information indicates a first frequency domain resource and a second frequency domain resource. Optionally, the first information includes two pieces of information, one of which indicates the first frequency domain resource and the other indicates the second frequency domain resource. These two pieces of information can be carried in two different messages or in the same message. When these two pieces of information are carried in two different messages, the order in which the second communication device sends these two messages can be arbitrary and is not limited thereto.

[0177] Optionally, the first information can be carried in higher-level signaling or proprietary signaling, such as RRC signaling or MAC control element (CE). Alternatively, the first information can be carried in downlink control information (DCI) or system information, without limitation. For example, the first information can be carried in the location and bandwidth information cell within the system information.

[0178] The first information indicates that the first frequency domain resource includes one or more guard bands and sensing signals. This can be understood or replaced as the first frequency domain resource carrying one or more guard bands and sensing signals, or it can be described as the first frequency domain resource including second and third frequency domain resources. Optionally, the first frequency domain resource is a portion of the frequency domain resources in the first bandwidth. The first bandwidth can be, for example, one or more channel bandwidths, one or more transmission bandwidths, or one or more BWPs, etc., without limitation. Optionally, the frequency domain granularity of the first frequency domain resource can be a frequency domain unit. The meaning of frequency domain granularity can refer to the content of frequency domain granularity discussed above, and will not be listed here. Frequency domain units are, for example, RBs, sub-bands, resource block groups (RBGs), or subcarriers, etc. Optionally, the first frequency domain resource includes (or occupies) N frequency domain units. N is a positive integer, and the value of N is, for example, 1, 2, or 3, etc., without specific limitation on its value. The first frequency domain resource including N frequency domain units can also be described as one or more guard bands and sensing signals occupying N frequency domain units in the frequency domain.

[0179] The first information indicates the second frequency domain resource, which can be alternatively described as the first information indicating one or more guard bands. The second frequency domain resource includes one or more guard bands, or in other words, the second frequency domain resource includes the resources occupied by one or more guard bands in the frequency domain. One or more guard bands are used to isolate sensing signals and communication signals in the frequency domain to reduce interference between them. The number of guard bands can be 1, 2, or more than 3. The bandwidth of any two guard bands in the one or more guard bands can be the same or different, without limitation. Optionally, the bandwidth of any one of the one or more guard bands can be greater than, equal to, or less than a frequency domain unit, without limitation. Any guard band refers to one of the one or more guard bands; for simplicity, any guard band will be referred to as any guard band below. For example, if one or more guard bands include guard band 1, guard band 2, or guard band 3, then any guard band could be guard band 1, guard band 2, or guard band 3. Optionally, the frequency domain granularity of any one of the one or more guard bands is a first sub-frequency domain unit. In this case, any guard band may include one or more first sub-frequency domain units, such as 1, 2, 4 or 8 first sub-frequency domain units.

[0180] The first sub-frequency domain unit (or the type of the first sub-frequency domain unit) can be a subcarrier, RB, or RBG, etc. The bandwidth (or bandwidth size) of the first sub-frequency domain unit can be equal to the bandwidth of the frequency domain unit, or the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit can be less than the bandwidth of the frequency domain unit. For example, if the frequency domain unit is RBG, the first sub-frequency domain unit can be RB or a subcarrier. Another example is a sub-band, where the frequency domain unit is a sub-band, and the first sub-frequency domain unit can be RB, RBG, or a subcarrier, etc. Optionally, the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit can be M, where M = 2. μ *15kHz, μ is a natural number, such as 0, 1, 2, or 3. For example, if the first sub-frequency domain unit is a subcarrier, then the bandwidth of any guard band can include 1 subcarrier, 2 subcarriers, 4 subcarriers, or 8 subcarriers. For example, if the first sub-frequency domain unit is an RB, then the bandwidth of any guard band can include 1 RB, 2 RBs, 4 RBs, or 8 RBs.

[0181] The third frequency domain resource is the frequency domain resource of the sensed signal, or in other words, the third frequency domain resource includes the resources occupied by the sensed signal in the frequency domain.

[0182] Optionally, the first bandwidth may include not only the first frequency domain resources but also the frequency domain resources of the communication signal. For simplicity, the frequency domain resources of the communication signal will be referred to as the fourth frequency domain resources below. Optionally, the frequency domain granularity of the fourth frequency domain resources can be a second sub-frequency domain unit. In this case, the fourth frequency domain resources may include one or more second sub-frequency domain units. Optionally, the bandwidth of the second sub-frequency domain unit may be less than the bandwidth of the frequency domain unit. The bandwidth of the second sub-frequency domain unit may be less than, equal to, or greater than the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit, without limitation. For example, the second sub-frequency domain unit (or the type of the second sub-frequency domain unit) may be a subcarrier.

[0183] For example, please refer to Figure 14 This is a schematic diagram of the second and third frequency domain resources provided in the embodiments of this application. Figure 14 The example is based on the utilization rate of the first frequency domain resources being approximately 95%, meaning that one or more guard bands occupy 5% of the first frequency domain resources, and one or more guard bands including two guard bands, and the first sub-frequency domain unit being a subcarrier.

[0184] like Figure 14 As shown in (1), if any guard band in one or more guard bands includes one subcarrier, then the third frequency domain resource includes at most two RBs. Figure 14 As shown in (2), if any guard band in one or more guard bands includes two subcarriers, then the third frequency domain resource can include a maximum of four RBs. Figure 14As shown in (3), if any guard band in one or more guard bands includes 4 subcarriers, then the third frequency domain resource can include a maximum of 7 RBs. Figure 14 As shown in (4), if any guard band in one or more guard bands includes 8 subcarriers, then the third frequency domain resources include a maximum of 14 RBs.

[0185] For example, please refer to Figure 15 This is a schematic diagram of the second and third frequency domain resources provided in the embodiments of this application. Figure 15 The example is based on the utilization rate of the first frequency domain resources being approximately 95%, meaning that the guard band occupies 5% of the first frequency domain resources, and one or more guard bands including two guard bands, and the first sub-frequency domain unit being RB.

[0186] like Figure 15 As shown in (1), if any guard band in one or more guard bands includes 1 RB, then the third frequency domain resource can include a maximum of 20 RBs. Figure 15 As shown in (2), if any one of the guard bands includes 2 RBs, then the third frequency domain resource can include a maximum of 40 RBs. Figure 15 As shown in (3), if any one of the guard bands includes 4 RBs, then the third frequency domain resource can include a maximum of 80 RBs. Figure 15 As shown in (4), if any one of the guard bands includes 8 RBs, then the third frequency domain resource includes a maximum of 160 RBs.

[0187] For example, please refer to Figure 16 This is a schematic diagram of a first frequency domain resource provided in an embodiment of this application. Figure 16 The example given is a guard band consisting of two guard bands, with each guard band consisting of four first sub-frequency domain units. The first sub-frequency domain unit of a guard band is a subcarrier, and the bandwidth (or SCS) of the first sub-frequency domain unit is 15kHz.

[0188] like Figure 16 As shown in (1), the first frequency domain resource is a portion of the frequency domain resources in the first bandwidth. The first frequency domain resource includes the second frequency domain resource and the third frequency domain resource. Figure 16 (2) is Figure 16 An enlarged schematic diagram of the first frequency domain resource in (1) is shown below. Figure 16 As shown in (2), the third frequency domain resource is located between two guard bands, the bandwidth of any one of the guard bands is 60KHz, the bandwidth of the first frequency domain resource (or the bandwidth size or bandwidth dimension of the first frequency domain resource) is 720KHz, and the bandwidth of the third frequency domain resource is 600KHz.

[0189] For example, please refer to Figure 17 This is a schematic diagram of another first frequency domain resource provided in an embodiment of this application. Figure 17 The example given is a guard band consisting of two guard bands, with the first bandwidth being the BWP, the BWP including four RBs, one guard band including four first sub-frequency domain units, the first sub-frequency domain unit of one guard band being a subcarrier, and the bandwidth (or SCS) of the first sub-frequency domain unit being 17kHz.

[0190] like Figure 17 As shown in (1), the first frequency domain resource occupies 2 RBs in the BWP, and the remaining 2 RBs in the BWP can be used to transmit communication signals. Figure 17 (2) is Figure 17 An enlarged schematic diagram of the first frequency domain resource in (1) is shown below. Figure 17 As shown in (2), the third frequency domain resource is located between two guard bands, the first frequency domain resource consists of two RBs, and taking one RB as an example containing 12 subcarriers, then the bandwidth of any guard band in one or more guard bands is 60KHz, the bandwidth of the first frequency domain resource (or the bandwidth size or bandwidth dimension of the first frequency domain resource) is 720KHz, and the bandwidth of the third frequency domain resource is 600KHz.

[0191] The communication signal is used for communication. The content of the sensing signal can be referred to the previously discussed sensing signal content; repetitions will not be listed here. Optionally, the sensing signal can be a linear frequency modulation (LFM) signal. Due to its broadened frequency domain, the energy of an LFM signal is distributed over a larger frequency band, avoiding sharp pulses, reducing the possibility of peak abrupt changes, simplifying self-interference suppression, and allowing for a longer sensing distance. Therefore, using an LFM signal enables sensing over a longer distance. The frequency of an LFM signal changes linearly with time, such as a chirp signal.

[0192] One expression for a chirp signal can be found in the following formula (1).

[0193]

[0194] Where u represents the frequency modulation slope, u = B / τ, B represents the frequency modulation bandwidth, and f s The initial slope is given by τ, which represents the signal's duration, and * indicates multiplication.

[0195] The following describes how the first information indicates the first frequency domain resource.

[0196] In method A1, the first information includes at least two of the following: the start frequency domain position, the end frequency domain position, or the length of the first frequency domain resource. At least two of the following—the start frequency domain position, the end frequency domain position, or the length of the first frequency domain resource—are used to indicate (or determine) the first frequency domain resource.

[0197] In method A2, the first information includes a first RIV (which indicates or determines the first frequency domain resource). The content of the first RIV can be referred to the RIV content discussed above, and will not be listed here again. Method A2 is applicable to cases where the first frequency domain resource occupies N frequency domain units. Compared to method A1, the first information indicates the first frequency domain resource through the RIV, which helps to reduce the number of bits required for the first information to indicate the first frequency domain resource.

[0198] Of course, there are many other ways to indicate the first frequency domain resource with the first information, and no specific limitation will be made here.

[0199] The following describes the implementation method of using the first information to indicate the second frequency domain resource.

[0200] In implementation method B1, the first information indicates the bandwidth of any one of one or more guard bands. The first information can indicate the bandwidth of any guard band using U bits. U is a positive integer, and the value of U is not limited, such as 1, 2, or 3.

[0201] Optionally, the first information indicates the bandwidth of any guard band, including: the first information indicates at least one of the following C1 to C4.

[0202] C1. The bandwidth of a first sub-frequency domain unit included in the frequency domain resources occupied by any guard band. The first information indicates the content shown in C1, for example, the first information includes the bandwidth of a first sub-frequency domain unit, or an index of the bandwidth of a first sub-frequency domain unit. The bandwidth of the first frequency domain unit is, for example, 15kHz, 30kHz, 60kHz, or 120kHz, etc., and is not actually limited. Furthermore, the bandwidth of any two first sub-frequency domain units within one or more first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band is the same.

[0203] Optionally, the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit of any guard band can be M, where M = 2. μ *15kHz, in this case, the first information can indicate (or include) μ, which is equivalent to indicating the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit.

[0204] If the first information only indicates the content shown in C1, the receiver of the first information (i.e., the first communication device) may need to know the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band before it can determine the bandwidth of any guard band. In this case, optionally, the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band can be predefined by the protocol and is not limited thereto. Thus, the bandwidth of any guard band can be determined based on the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain units included in the first information and the number of first sub-frequency domain units predefined by the protocol. The first communication device can determine the bandwidth of one or more guard bands based on the bandwidth of any guard band.

[0205] For example, when one or more guard bands comprise multiple guard bands, and any two guard bands within the one or more guard bands have the same bandwidth, determining the bandwidth of any guard band is equivalent to determining the bandwidth of one or more guard bands. Alternatively, when one or more guard bands comprise multiple guard bands, and two guard bands within the one or more guard bands have different bandwidths, the first communication device can determine the bandwidth of one or more guard bands based on the bandwidth of the stated guard band and its correlation with other guard bands. Other guard bands refer to the guard bands within the one or more guard bands other than the stated guard band. The bandwidth of the stated guard band and its correlation with other guard bands can be predefined by the protocol, or indicated to the first communication device by the second communication device.

[0206] C2. The number of first sub-frequency domain units included in the frequency domain resources occupied by any guard band. For example, the first information may include the number of first sub-frequency domain units, or an index of the number of first sub-frequency domain units. The number of first sub-frequency domain units included in the frequency domain resources occupied by any guard band can be 2, 4, or 8, and is not limited thereto.

[0207] If the first information is only the content shown in C2, the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit may also be needed to determine the bandwidth of any guard band. In this case, optionally, the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit included in any guard band can be predefined by the protocol and is not limited thereto. Thus, the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in the first information can be used to determine the bandwidth of any guard band based on that number and the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit predefined by the protocol. The first communication device can determine the bandwidth of one or more guard bands based on the bandwidth of any guard band. The content of determining the bandwidth of one or more guard bands based on the bandwidth of any guard band can refer to the content of determining the bandwidth of one or more guard bands based on the bandwidth of any guard band discussed above, and will not be listed here again.

[0208] In one possible implementation, the first information indicates the contents of C1 and C2 above, that is, the first information indicates the number and bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain units. Thus, the first communication device can determine the bandwidth of any guard band based on the number and bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain units. Furthermore, the first communication device can determine the bandwidth of one or more guard bands based on the bandwidth of any guard band.

[0209] Optionally, the first information indicating the content of C1 and C2 may include: the first information includes a first index. The first index indicates the bandwidth and number of first sub-frequency domain units included in the frequency domain resources occupied by any guard band. In this case, there is an association relationship (hereinafter referred to as the first association relationship) between the first index and the bandwidth and number of first sub-frequency domain units included in the frequency domain resources occupied by any guard band. This first association relationship may be predefined by the protocol or configured by the second communication device to the first communication device. Any association relationship involved in the embodiments of this application may also be referred to as a correspondence relationship. The form of the association relationship may be a table, formula, or other forms, and is not limited thereto. For example, the form of the first association relationship may be a table.

[0210] Please refer to Table 3 for the bandwidth and number of the first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band provided in the embodiments of this application. Table 3 can serve as an example of a first correlation relationship. In Table 3, the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit can be M, where M = 2. μ *Take 15kHz as an example.

[0211] Table 3

[0212]

[0213] As shown in Table 3, the first information may include μ and the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band, thus indicating the bandwidth and number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band. For example, if the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band is 30kHz, the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band is 2. And so on; the contents of Table 3 will not be listed individually here. Optionally, the protocol may predefine the contents shown in Table 3, or the protocol may define μ and the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band in Table 3. In this case, indicating one row of the first information is equivalent to indicating the first association relationship.

[0214] Please refer to Table 4 for the bandwidth and number of the first sub-frequency domain units included in any protection band provided in the embodiments of this application. The content of Table 4 can serve as an example of a first correlation relationship. In Table 4, the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit can be M, where M = 2. μ *Take 15kHz as an example.

[0215] Table 4

[0216]

[0217] As shown in Table 4 above, the first information may include a first index, which is equivalent to indicating the number and bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band. For example, if the first information includes a first index of 10, it is equivalent to indicating that the first information indicates that the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band is 4, and the bandwidth of any guard band is 480kHz, that is, the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain units is 120kHz. And so on, the contents of Table 4 will not be listed one by one here. Optionally, the protocol can predefine the index, μ, and the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band as shown in Table 4 above. In this way, the first information including the first index is equivalent to indicating the first association relationship.

[0218] C3. The relationship between the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit occupied by any guard band and the bandwidth of the second sub-frequency domain unit occupied by the communication signal. For simplicity, this relationship will be referred to as the first relationship below.

[0219] For example, the first relationship describes the relationship between the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit and the bandwidth of the second sub-frequency domain unit. The first relationship could be, for example, that the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit is W times the bandwidth of the second sub-frequency domain unit, or that there is a proportional relationship between the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit and the bandwidth of the second sub-frequency domain unit. The value of W is a positive number, and its values could be, for example, 1 / 2, 1 / 4, 1 / 8, 1, 2, 4, or 8.

[0220] Optionally, the first information may indicate a second index, which in turn indicates a first relationship, specifically, the second index indicating the value of W. The association between the second index and the value of W (hereinafter referred to as the second association) may be predefined by the protocol or configured by the second communication device to the first communication device.

[0221] For example, please refer to Table 5 below, which provides a second association relationship for an embodiment of this application.

[0222] Table 5

[0223] index W 00 1 / 2 01 1 / 4 11 2 10 8

[0224] As shown in Table 5 above, if the first information indicates that the second index is 10, it is equivalent to indicating that the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit is 8 times the bandwidth of the second sub-frequency domain unit. And so on. The contents of Table 5 will not be listed individually here.

[0225] For example, please refer to Figure 18 This is a schematic diagram of a first frequency domain resource provided in an embodiment of this application. Figure 18The example uses one or more guard bands, including two guard bands. Each guard band includes four first sub-frequency domain units. The first sub-frequency domain units of a guard band are subcarriers, and the bandwidth (or SCS) of the first sub-frequency domain units is 15kHz. The fourth frequency domain resource includes six second sub-frequency domain units. Each second sub-frequency domain unit is a subcarrier, and the bandwidth (or SCS) of the second sub-frequency domain unit is 60kHz. The bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit is 1 / 4 of the bandwidth of the second sub-frequency domain unit, and an RB is 360kHz.

[0226] like Figure 18 As shown in (1), the first frequency domain resource is a portion of the frequency domain resources in the BWP. The first frequency domain resource includes the second and third frequency domain resources. The BWP also includes a fourth frequency domain resource. Figure 18 (2) is Figure 18 A partially enlarged schematic diagram of some frequency domain resources in (1), as shown below. Figure 18 As shown in (2), the third frequency domain resource is located between two guard bands, and one of the guard bands has a bandwidth of 60KHz.

[0227] For example, please refer to Figure 19 This is a schematic diagram of a first frequency domain resource provided in an embodiment of this application. Figure 19 The example uses one or more guard bands, including two guard bands. Each guard band includes one first sub-frequency domain unit. The first sub-frequency domain unit of a guard band is a subcarrier, and the bandwidth (or SCS) of the first sub-frequency domain unit is 60kHz. The fourth frequency domain resource includes four second sub-frequency domain units, each of which is a subcarrier. The bandwidth (or SCS) of the second sub-frequency domain unit is 15kHz. The bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit is four times the bandwidth of the second sub-frequency domain unit, and an RB is 360kHz.

[0228] like Figure 19 As shown in (1), the first frequency domain resource is a portion of the frequency domain resources in the BWP. The first frequency domain resource includes the second and third frequency domain resources. The BWP also includes a fourth frequency domain resource. Figure 19 (2) is Figure 19 A partially enlarged schematic diagram of some frequency domain resources in (1), as shown below. Figure 19 As shown in (2), the third frequency domain resource is located between two guard bands, and the bandwidth of one guard band is 60KHz.

[0229] In one possible implementation, if the first information only indicates the content shown in C3, the first communication device may also need the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band to determine the bandwidth of any guard band. In this case, optionally, the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band can be predetermined by a protocol, or the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band can be determined based on a first relationship (e.g., the value of W). For example, there is a correlation between the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band and the value of W. This correlation can be predefined by a protocol or configured to the first communication device by the second communication device. Thus, the first communication device, by clarifying the first relationship based on the first information, can determine the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band based on this correlation. The first communication device can determine the bandwidth of one or more guard bands based on the bandwidth of any guard band.

[0230] For example, please refer to Table 6 below for the relationship between the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band provided in the embodiments of this application and W.

[0231] Table 6

[0232]

[0233] As shown in Table 6 above, the first information indicates that the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit included in any guard band is four times the bandwidth of the second sub-frequency domain unit included in the frequency domain resources occupied by the communication signal. Therefore, the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band is four. If the bandwidth of the second sub-frequency domain unit is 60kHz, then the bandwidth of the second sub-frequency domain unit is 240kHz.

[0234] Optionally, the second index may also indicate the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band. In this case, there is an association between the second index, the first relationship, and the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band. This association may be predefined by a protocol or configured by the second communication device to the first communication device. Thus, the first information indicates the second index, and based on the second index, the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band and the first relationship can be determined, thereby determining the bandwidth of any guard band. The association between the second index, the first relationship, and the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band can be, for example, the association between the second index, W, and the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band.

[0235] For example, please refer to Table 7 below for the relationship between an index, W, and the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band provided in the embodiments of this application.

[0236] Table 7

[0237]

[0238] As shown in Table 7 above, if the first information indicates that the second index is 11, then based on Table 7, it can be determined that the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit included in any guard band is twice the bandwidth of the second sub-frequency domain unit included in the frequency domain resources occupied by the communication signal, and that the number of the first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band is 8. And so on, the contents of Table 7 will not be listed one by one here.

[0239] C4. The relationship between the bandwidth of any guard band and the bandwidth of the third frequency domain resources (or the bandwidth of the sensed signal). For simplicity, this relationship will be referred to as the second relationship below.

[0240] The second relationship describes the bandwidth of any guard band and the bandwidth of the third frequency domain resource. For example, the second relationship states that the bandwidth of any guard band is K times the bandwidth of the third frequency domain resource, or that there is a proportional relationship between the bandwidth of any guard band and the bandwidth of the third frequency domain resource, or that the bandwidth of the third frequency domain resource is 1 / K of the bandwidth of any guard band. K is a positive number. For example, the value of K could be 1 / 5, 1 / 10, 1 / 15, or 1 / 20. When K is 1 / 10, the ratio of the bandwidth of any guard band to the bandwidth of the third sub-frequency domain unit is 1:10.

[0241] Optionally, the first information indicates a second relationship, including: the first information indicates a third index. The third index indicates the relationship between the bandwidth of any guard band and the bandwidth of a third frequency domain resource. The association between the third index and the value of K (hereinafter referred to as the third association) can be predefined by the protocol or configured to the first communication device by the second communication device.

[0242] For example, please refer to Table 8 below, which is a schematic diagram of a third association relationship provided in an embodiment of this application.

[0243] Table 8

[0244] index K 00 1 / 5 01 1 / 10 11 1 / 15 10 1 / 20

[0245] As shown in Table 8 above, if the first information indicates that the second index is 11, then based on Table 8, it can be determined that the bandwidth of any guard band is 1 / 15 of the bandwidth of the third frequency domain resource. And so on; the contents of Table 8 will not be listed individually here.

[0246] For example, please refer to Figure 20 This is a schematic diagram of a first frequency domain resource provided in an embodiment of this application. Figure 20Taking the first sub-frequency domain unit as a subcarrier, the bandwidth (or SCS) of the first sub-frequency domain unit is 15kHz, the RB is 200kHz, and the first frequency domain resource occupies 1 RB, and the bandwidth of any guard band is 1 / 10 times the bandwidth of the third sub-frequency domain unit, and one or more guard bands including two guard bands located on both sides of the third frequency domain resource, as an example. Figure 20 As shown, any one of the guard bands occupies one subcarrier, that is, the bandwidth of any guard band is 15KHz, and the bandwidth of the third frequency domain resource is 150KHz.

[0247] In one possible implementation, the formula for the ending frequency domain position of the third frequency domain resource can be, for example, referred to the following formula (2).

[0248] f = f0 + (K + 1) * L * 2 μ *15kHz (2)

[0249] Where f represents the end frequency domain position of the third frequency domain resource, f0 is the start frequency domain position of one or more guard bands, K is the multiple of the bandwidth of any guard band to the bandwidth of the third sub-frequency domain unit, and L represents the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in any guard band among one or more guard bands. μ *15kHz is the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit, and * indicates multiplication.

[0250] Formula (2) can be applied to situations where the frequency domain position (hereinafter referred to as relative position) of the second frequency domain resource relative to the third frequency domain resource satisfies the first condition. The first condition includes one or more guard bands located on either side of the third frequency domain resource, or one or more guard bands located on one side of the third frequency domain resource, and the third frequency domain resource being located at the highest frequency of the first bandwidth. For example, please refer to... Figure 21 This is a diagram illustrating relative positions. For example... Figure 21 As shown in (1), one or more guard bands include two guard bands located on either side of the third frequency domain resource. Figure 21 As shown in (2), one or more guard bands include one guard band, and the third frequency domain resource is located at the highest frequency of the first bandwidth (or the third frequency domain resource is located at the high frequency edge of the first bandwidth).

[0251] In one possible implementation, the formula for the ending frequency domain position of the third frequency domain resource can be, for example, referred to the following formula (3).

[0252] f = K * L * 2 μ *15kHz (3)

[0253] Among them, f, K, L and 2 μThe meaning of *15kHz can be found in the discussion of f, K, L and 2 in formula (2) above. μ The meaning of *15kHz is not listed here.

[0254] Formula (3) can be applied to cases where the frequency domain position (hereinafter referred to as relative position) of the second frequency domain resource relative to the third frequency domain resource satisfies the second condition. The second condition includes one or more guard bands located to one side of the third frequency domain resource, and the third frequency domain resource located at a low frequency within the first bandwidth. For example... Figure 21 The case shown in (3) is that one or more guard bands include one guard band, and the third frequency domain resource is located at the lowest frequency of the first bandwidth (or the third frequency domain resource is located at the low frequency edge of the first bandwidth).

[0255] Optionally, the first information may indicate one, two, three, or four items from C1 to C4, and their combinations will not be listed here.

[0256] In cases where one or more protection bands include multiple protection bands, implementation method B1 can be applied to situations where any two of the multiple protection bands have the same bandwidth, or where there are two protection bands with different bandwidths.

[0257] For example, if two of the multiple guard bands have different bandwidths, the first information can indicate the bandwidth of any one guard band, with the bandwidths of the other guard bands associated with the bandwidth of that one guard band. Thus, the bandwidth of one or more guard bands can be determined based on the association between the bandwidths of the other guard bands and the bandwidth of any one guard band, and the bandwidth of any one guard band. Alternatively, the first information can also indicate the bandwidth of each of the multiple guard bands.

[0258] For example, if any two of these guard bands have the same bandwidth, then the first information indicates the bandwidth of any guard band, which also clarifies the bandwidth of each of the multiple guard bands.

[0259] When the first information only indicates the bandwidth of any guard band, the relative positions of one or more guard bands may be predetermined by the protocol, or configured by the second communication device to the first communication device, without limitation. Thus, the first communication device can identify one or more guard bands based on their bandwidth and relative positions. The content of the relative positions can be referred to the discussion of relative positions above, and will not be listed here again.

[0260] Implementation method B2: The first information indicates the relative position. This relative position is the frequency domain position of the second frequency domain resource relative to the third frequency domain resource, or the relative position is the position of at least one of one or more guard bands relative to the sensing signal in the frequency domain, such as the position of each of one or more guard bands relative to the sensing signal in the frequency domain.

[0261] For example, the first information indicating a relative position includes a fourth index. The fourth index is used to indicate (or determine) the relative position. For instance, the fourth index indicates a first pattern representing the position of a second frequency domain resource relative to a third frequency domain resource. The first pattern may include, for example, that the third frequency domain resource is continuous with a frequency domain resource of any guard band, that a frequency domain resource of any guard band is continuous with a fourth frequency domain resource and that a frequency domain resource of any guard band is located between the first and fourth frequency domain resources, or that the frequency domain resources of the first guard band and the third frequency domain resource are continuous, that the third frequency domain resource is continuous with a frequency domain resource of the second guard band, and that the third frequency domain resource is located between the frequency domain resources of the first and second guard bands. The first and second guard bands are two of one or more guard bands. Of course, the first pattern can also have other forms, which will not be listed here.

[0262] For example, you can refer to the first pattern. Figure 21 Middle (1) to Figure 21 Any of the patterns shown in (3). For example, the fourth index is 00, indicating that the first pattern is Figure 21 The pattern shown in (1). For example, the fourth index is 01, indicating that the first pattern is Figure 21 The pattern shown in (2) is an example. For instance, the fourth index is 11, indicating that the first pattern is... Figure 21 The pattern shown in (3) is shown in the middle.

[0263] In a scenario where one or more guard bands comprise multiple guard bands, and the relative positions are defined as the positions of at least one guard band relative to the sensed signal in the frequency domain, the positions of the remaining guard bands (excluding the at least one guard band) can be associated with that at least one guard band. This association can be predefined by the protocol and is not limited thereto. Thus, the first information indicates the position of at least one guard band relative to the sensed signal in the frequency domain, and the first communication device can also determine the position of each of the one or more guard bands relative to the sensed signal in the frequency domain based on the first information and the association mentioned in this paragraph.

[0264] Where the first information only indicates a relative position, the bandwidth of any of the one or more guard bands may be predetermined by the protocol, or configured by the second communication device to the first communication device, without limitation.

[0265] Implementation B3: The first information indicates the bandwidth of any one of the one or more guard bands, and its relative position. Implementation B3 is equivalent to a combination of Implementation B1 and Implementation B2. The content of the first information indicating the bandwidth of any guard band can be referred to the content of the first information indicating the bandwidth of any guard band discussed in Implementation B1, and the content of the first information indicating the relative position can be referred to the content of the first information indicating the relative position discussed in Implementation B2; they will not be listed individually here.

[0266] The content of the first information indicating the bandwidth of any protection band can be referred to the content discussed in the previous implementation method B1, and the content of the first information indicating the relative position can be referred to the content discussed in the previous implementation method B2. They will not be listed one by one here.

[0267] Any of the above embodiments B1 to B3 can be applied to cases where the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit included in any guard band is equal to, less than, or even greater than RB.

[0268] In another possible implementation, when the first sub-frequency domain unit is an RB, the first information can indicate one or more guard bands via a RIV. For example, the first information indicates the RIVs corresponding to one or more RBs included in one or more guard bands, so that the first communication device can determine one or more guard bands based on the RIVs.

[0269] In one possible implementation, the second communication device can transmit second information. The second information indicates the type of a first sub-frequency domain unit included in any of one or more guard bands, equivalent to the second information indicating what type of first sub-frequency domain unit it is. Thus, the first communication device clearly identifies the type of the first sub-frequency domain unit.

[0270] For example, the second information uses a single bit to indicate the type of the first sub-frequency domain unit (or, in other words, the first sub-frequency domain unit) as a subcarrier or an RB. Specifically, for example, when the bit takes on a first value, the first sub-frequency domain unit is a subcarrier. When the bit takes on a second value, the first sub-frequency domain unit is an RB. For instance, a value of 1 indicates that the first sub-frequency domain unit is a subcarrier. And for another example, a value of 0 indicates that the first sub-frequency domain unit is an RB.

[0271] In this implementation, the first communication device can promptly determine the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit, facilitating the accurate determination of the second frequency domain resources based on the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit. Furthermore, this implementation is compatible with scenarios where the first sub-frequency domain unit of the guard band is an RB or a subcarrier.

[0272] In another possible implementation, the type of the first sub-frequency domain unit can be predefined by the protocol, eliminating the need for the second communication device to send second information, which helps reduce signaling interactions in the communication system.

[0273] Optionally, the second information and the first information can be carried in different messages or in the same message; there is no limitation on this. For example, the second information can be carried in higher-level signaling (such as RRC signaling or DCI signaling) or proprietary signals; there is no limitation on this. Alternatively, the second information can be carried in DCI or system information.

[0274] S1302, The first communication device transmits or receives sensing signals in the third frequency domain.

[0275] Optionally, the first communication device can receive second information to specify the type of the first sub-frequency domain unit, such as whether the first sub-frequency domain unit is a subcarrier or an RB. Based on the first information, the first communication device can determine the first frequency domain resources and the second frequency domain resources. Further, the first communication device can determine the third frequency domain resources, i.e., determine the frequency domain resources of the sensed signal, based on the first and second frequency domain resources. For example, the first communication device can determine the other frequency domain resources in the first frequency domain resources besides the second frequency domain resources as the third frequency domain resources; for instance, it can determine the other frequency domain resources in N frequency domain units besides the second frequency domain resources as the third frequency domain resources.

[0276] The way the first information indicates the first frequency domain resource is different, so the way the first communication device determines the first frequency domain resource is also different. Examples are given below.

[0277] D1. The first information indicates the first frequency domain resource in the manner described in A1 above, that is, the first information includes at least two of the following: the start frequency domain position, the end frequency domain position, or the length of the first frequency domain resource. In this case, the first communication device can determine the first frequency domain resource based on at least two of the following: the start frequency domain position, the end frequency domain position, or the length of the first frequency domain resource.

[0278] D2. The first information indicates the first frequency domain resource in the manner described in A2 above, that is, the first information includes the first RIV. In this case, the first communication device can determine the first frequency domain resource based on the first RIV.

[0279] The way the first information indicates the second frequency domain resource is different, so the way the first communication device determines the second frequency domain resource is also different. Examples are given below.

[0280] G1. The first information, as described in embodiment B1 above, indicates the second frequency domain resource, and the first information indicates the bandwidth of any one of one or more guard bands. The first communication device can determine the bandwidth of any guard band based on the first information.

[0281] In cases where one or more guard bands include only one guard band, the first communication device can determine the third frequency domain resource based on the first frequency domain resource and the guard band.

[0282] In cases where one or more guard bands comprise multiple guard bands, if two of these guard bands have different bandwidths, first information can indicate the bandwidth of any guard band, and the bandwidths of the other guard bands are associated with the bandwidth of the stated guard band. Then, the first communication device can determine the bandwidth of these multiple guard bands based on the bandwidth of any guard band and the association between the bandwidths of that guard band and the bandwidths of the other guard bands. The first communication device can determine a third frequency domain resource based on a first frequency domain resource and the multiple guard bands.

[0283] In the case where one or more guard bands include multiple guard bands, if any two of these multiple guard bands have the same bandwidth, then the first information indicates the bandwidth of any guard band, and the first communication device can determine the multiple guard bands based on the first information.

[0284] G2. The first information, as described in embodiment B2 above, indicates the second frequency domain resource, and the first information indicates the relative position. In this case, the bandwidth of any one of the one or more guard bands may be predetermined by the protocol, or configured by the second communication device to the first communication device. In summary, the first communication device can determine one or more guard bands based on the relative position and the bandwidth of any guard band.

[0285] G3. If the first information indicates the second frequency domain resource through the above-described embodiment B3, that is, the first information indicates the bandwidth and relative position of any guard band, then the first communication device can determine one or more guard bands. In this case, the first communication device can directly determine one or more guard bands based on the bandwidth and relative position of any guard band.

[0286] For example, after determining the first and second frequency domain resources, the first communication device can determine the other frequency domain resources in the first frequency domain resource besides the second frequency domain resource as the third frequency domain resource. Alternatively, the first communication device can determine the other frequency domain resources in the first frequency domain resource besides the second and fifth frequency domain resources as the third frequency domain resource. The fifth frequency domain resource can be, for example, a frequency domain resource predefined by the protocol. In this way, a mechanism is provided for clearly identifying the frequency domain resources of the sensed signal. Regardless of whether the first sub-frequency domain unit of the guard band is less than, equal to, or greater than RB, the first communication device can determine the third frequency domain resource.

[0287] For example, the end frequency domain position of the third frequency domain resource can be determined by referring to the content of the following formula (4).

[0288] f = f0 + Q * P * 2μ *15kHz (4)

[0289] Where f0 is the starting frequency domain position of the third frequency domain resource, Q is the number of frequency domain units included in the third frequency domain resource, and P represents the number of first sub-frequency domain units included in each frequency domain unit. μ *15kHz represents the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit.

[0290] Optionally, when the sensing signal is located at the lowest frequency of the first bandwidth, there is no need to set a guard band at the lowest frequency, so the value of f0 can be 0.

[0291] The first communication device can receive sensing signals (or receive echo signals of sensing signals) in the third frequency domain. Alternatively, the first communication device can also transmit sensing signals in the third frequency domain. Examples of possible scenarios for S1302 are described below.

[0292] Scenario 1: In dual-station sensing mode, the first communication device acts as the receiver of the sensing signal. For example, one implementation of S1302 is S1302a. S1302a involves the first communication device receiving the sensing signal in the third frequency domain resource. Exemplarily, the second communication device can transmit the sensing signal in the third frequency domain resource. Optionally, the sensing signal is received by the first communication device after passing through the target. The first communication device can perform target sensing or localization based on the received sensing signal, etc., without limitation.

[0293] Optionally, the first communication device can also transmit communication signals on a fourth frequency domain resource. Correspondingly, the second communication device can receive the communication signals.

[0294] Scenario 2: In the dual-station sensing mode, the first communication device acts as the transmitter of the sensing signal. For example, one implementation of S1302 is S1302b, where the first communication device can transmit the sensing signal using third frequency domain resources. Exemplarily, the first communication device can receive the sensing signal using third frequency domain resources. Optionally, the sensing signal is received by the second communication device after passing through the target. The second communication device can perform target sensing or localization based on the received sensing signal, etc., without limitation.

[0295] Optionally, the second communication device can also transmit communication signals on a fourth frequency domain resource. Correspondingly, the first communication device can receive the communication signal.

[0296] Scenario 3: In single-site sensing mode, the first communication device can transmit a sensing signal on the third frequency domain resource. The echo signal of this sensing signal after passing through the target is received by the first communication device. For example, one implementation of S1302 includes S1302c and S1302d. S1302 involves the first communication device transmitting a sensing signal on the third frequency domain resource. S1302d involves the first communication device receiving the echo signal after passing through the target.

[0297] Optionally, the first communication device can also transmit communication signals on a fourth frequency domain resource. Correspondingly, the second communication device can receive the communication signals.

[0298] This application embodiment can determine the frequency domain resources of a sensed signal using a first frequency domain resource and one or more guard bands. A method for determining the frequency domain resources of a sensed signal is provided. Furthermore, setting guard bands can avoid mutual interference caused by the coexistence of communication signals and sensed signals in high-bandwidth scenarios. Even if the frequency domain resources of the sensed signal are an indivisible segment, they can be determined using the first and second frequency domain resources, meaning the method for determining the frequency domain resources of the sensed signal provided in this application embodiment has good applicability. Further, the bandwidth of the first sub-frequency domain unit included in any guard band can be less than RB, reducing the frequency domain resources occupied by one or more guard bands, which is beneficial for improving the utilization rate of frequency domain resources. Even if one or more guard bands cannot be indicated by RIV, the solution provided in this application embodiment can still determine the frequency domain resources of the sensed signal, meaning the method for determining the frequency domain resources of the sensed signal in this application embodiment has good universality. Optionally, a quantized association relationship can be established between the first sub-frequency domain unit of the guard band and the second sub-frequency domain unit corresponding to the communication signal to ensure that the first communication device can clearly identify the frequency domain resources of the sensed signal based on the indication of the guard band. Optionally, by establishing the relationship between the bandwidth of the guard band and the bandwidth of the sensing signal, the first communication device can be ensured to clearly identify the frequency domain resources of the sensing signal based on the indication of the guard band.

[0299] Based on the same inventive concept, embodiments of this application provide a communication device. The following describes... Figure 22 and Figure 23 The following describes any of the illustrated communication devices. This communication device may be, for example, the first or second communication device discussed above, etc. Figure 1 The first communication device involved, Figure 2 The terminal equipment involved Figure 3 The terminal equipment involved Figure 4 The second satellite involved Figure 5 The terminal equipment involved Figure 6 The terminal equipment involved Figure 7 The parent node or child node of IAB involved Figure 8 The user equipment involved Figure 1 The second communication device involved Figure 2 The satellite base stations involved Figure 3 The satellites and / or base stations involved Figure 4 The first satellite involved, Figure 5 The base stations involved Figure 6 The terminal equipment involved Figure 7 The parent node or IAB node involved Figure 8 At least one of the following is involved: CU, DU, or RU. The processing unit 2210 is used to perform processing operations. Alternatively, the communication unit 2220 may be a transmitter and a receiver, or the communication unit 2220 may be a transmitter and a receiver. Optionally, the communication device 2200 may also include a storage unit 2230. The storage unit 2230 is used to store the device's program code or data.

Specifically, the processor may include a modem chip, or a SoC chip or SIP chip containing a modem core. The function of the communication unit 2220 can be implemented by transceiver circuitry.

[0308] In one possible design, when the communication device 2200 is a circuit or chip responsible for communication functions in a terminal device, or a circuit or chip responsible for communication functions in an access network device, such as a modem chip or a system-on-a-chip (SoC) chip or SIP chip containing a modem core, the function of the processing unit 2210 can be implemented by a circuit system including one or more processors or processor cores in the aforementioned chip. The function of the communication unit 2220 can be implemented by interface circuits or data transceiver circuits on the aforementioned chip.

[0309] It is understood that the division of units in the above-described device is merely a logical functional division. Each function can correspond to a functional unit, or two or more functions can be integrated into one functional unit. In actual implementation, all or some units can be integrated into a single physical entity, or they can be distributed across different physical entities. Furthermore, the aforementioned functional units can be implemented in hardware, software, or a combination of both. Whether a function is executed in hardware or software depends on the specific application and design constraints of the technical solution. Optionally, the communication device 2300 also includes an interface circuit 2320 and a memory 2330. The processor 2320 and the interface circuit 2320 are coupled to each other. It is understood that the interface circuit 2320 can be a transceiver or an input / output interface. The memory 2330 is used to store instructions executed by the processor 2320, or to store input data required by the processor 2320 to execute instructions, or to store data generated after the processor 2320 executes instructions. The interface circuit 2320 and the memory 2330 are optional modules. Figure 23 The image is indicated by a dashed box. Additionally... Figure 23 The example given is a processor 2320 and a memory 2330, but in reality, there is no limit to the number of processors 2320 and memory 2330.

[0313] In one possible implementation, the communication device 2300 is used to implement the foregoing.
