Abstract

The application provides an electrode tab of a battery cell and the battery cell. The electrode tab comprises an electrode tab body, an electrode lug connected to one side of the electrode tab body in an extending direction, and a first recessed part of the electrode lug, wherein the electrode lug at the first recessed part is provided with a protruding rib. In the application, the protruding rib is arranged on the electrode lug, and the position of the protruding rib corresponds to the position of the first recessed part. The protruding rib has the function of a reinforcing rib, the strength of the first recessed part corresponding to the position of the protruding rib is improved, and the bending stiffness of the electrode lug is effectively improved, so that the use performance of the electrode tab of the battery cell is not affected.
