A wheel hub tube machining fixture

Abstract

This invention proposes a machining fixture for wheel hub shafts, comprising a positioning disc, a three-jaw chuck, and a shaft to be machined. The positioning disc has a protrusion on the side near the three-jaw chuck, and multiple elastic clamping strips are arranged around the outer periphery of the protrusion to form an elastic clamping tube, which extends into the inner hole of the three-jaw chuck. Through the radial expansion mechanism of the elastic clamping tube, positioning and clamping actions are integrated into a single operation: rotating the tensioning screw drives the tensioning shaft to move axially, and utilizing the engagement of the tapered part and the inclined surface of the ramp, the axial force is converted into the radial expansion force of the elastic clamping tube, thereby achieving automatic centering and stable clamping of the workpiece's inner hole. This design completely eliminates the cumbersome adjustment steps of traditional split fixtures, significantly reducing reliance on operator experience, and simultaneously avoids damage to the workpiece surface caused by rigid clamping through elastic deformation.
