A modular temperature controller

Abstract

This application discloses a modular thermostat, including a temperature sensing module and a contact module. The temperature sensing module includes a temperature-sensing cover, a bimetallic disc, a ceramic actuating rod, and a guide frame. The ceramic actuating rod is fixedly connected to the bimetallic disc. The contact module includes a connecting cover, a fixed contact plate, a movable spring, a housing, and two terminals. The fixed contact plate has a fixed contact, and the movable spring has a movable contact. The connecting cover has multiple arc-shaped grooves, and the vertical walls of the arc-shaped grooves have mounting slots. A positioning post is connected to the mounting slot via a compression spring. The guide frame has multiple protrusions, and the arc-shaped grooves have guide notches. The protrusions have hemispherical positioning slots. The ceramic actuating rod passes through the connecting cover and can contact the actuating part. This thermostat allows for modular installation, and the contact module and temperature sensing module can be maintained independently, thus shortening maintenance time. The two modules are locked together by an elastic locking mechanism between the positioning post and the positioning slot.
