Heated wire sewing head assembly and heated wire sewing apparatus equipped therewith

Abstract

A heated wire sewing head assembly includes a sewing head (121) provided with a sewing needle (123) capable of selective linear movement, a nozzle (122) arranged around the sewing head (121) and capable of selective rotation about a central axis of the sewing needle (123), a heated wire threaded through the nozzle (122), and a heated wire activation feed device (500) arranged on the nozzle (122) upstream of the nozzle (122) and configured to be capable of selective switching between a first state in which a heated wire is allowed to be freely transported through the heated wire activation feed device (500) and a second state in which the heated wire activation feed device (500) clamps the heated wire and exerts a force on the heated wire urging it to move towards or away from the nozzle (122). A heated wire sewing apparatus is also disclosed.
