A Braille dot display

Abstract

A Braille display includes a housing, an elastic diaphragm, and display elements. The housing comprises an upper cover and a lower cover connected vertically. The upper cover has a plurality of arrayed telescopic through holes. A plurality of independently movable display elements are installed in the installation space. Each display element has a protrusion that extends out of the telescopic through hole. The elastic diaphragm is fixedly disposed on the bottom surface of the upper cover and contacts the top of each display element in the installation space. As the display element rises, the elastic diaphragm elastically extends out of the telescopic through hole, adhering tightly to the protrusion. When the display element descends to its reset position, the elastic diaphragm retracts below the telescopic through hole. Thus, when the display element rises under the drive of the drive assembly, the protrusion on the top of the display element can lift the elastic diaphragm, causing the elastic diaphragm to tightly wrap around the protrusion. This ensures the tactile feedback for the blind user while preventing the entry of skin abrasions from the telescopic through hole and the installation space, resulting in better usability for the blind.
