Abstract

A bassinet and system are provided. The bassinet is configured to remain in an upright, usable configuration when mounted to a structure such as a playard. However, when the bassinet is removed from the playard, the bassinet automatically changes configuration to signal to a user that the bassinet should no longer be used (e.g., when the bassinet is on the floor, the bassinet should not be used to place a child).
