Abstract

The application discloses an optical waveguide and a display device, and relates to the technical field of optical display. The optical waveguide comprises at least one waveguide substrate and at least two groups of sub-gratings, the at least two groups of sub-gratings are arranged on the surface of the at least one waveguide substrate, and the projections of the at least two groups of sub-gratings in the stacking direction are staggered, wherein the height of each group of sub-gratings is between 1 / 4h and 3 / 4h, and h is a preset height. The optical waveguide and the display device can reduce the difference in transmittance between the coupling-out grating and the surrounding area without reducing the coupling-out efficiency, and improve the user experience.
