Purpose of the graphical user interface: The entire graphical user interface is used for information display, and a portion of the graphical user interface is used for the sidebar. Design 1's main view is an interface with a sidebar. The top of the sidebar displays frequently used applications, and the bottom displays recent tasks. Users can pin the sidebar to the same side by clicking the pin button at the bottom left of the sidebar, as shown in the interface state diagram of Design 1. Design 2's main view is an interface with a sidebar. The top of the sidebar displays frequently used applications, and the bottom middle of the sidebar displays recent tasks.
