Description of the graphical user interface (GUI) state changes: By hovering the mouse over the "#2" area on the left side of the main view, a "Location Segment" overlay icon appears, and the interface evolves to state 1. Clicking the "#2" area in state 1 causes the corresponding segment in the right sidebar to slide to the top, evolving to state 2. Hovering the mouse over the play icon in state 2 causes a "Play Segment" overlay icon to appear, evolving to state 3. Clicking the play icon in state 3 evolves the interface to state 4. Hovering the mouse over the play icon again in state 4... The interface evolves into state 5 with the "Pause Playback" overlay icon; clicking the play icon in state 5 evolves the interface into state 6; hovering the mouse over the delete icon in state 6 displays the "Delete Layer" overlay icon, evolving the interface into state 7; clicking the delete icon in state 7 displays the "Please select the segment to merge" pop-up window, evolving the interface into state 8; hovering the mouse over the "Previous" button in the "Please select the segment to merge" pop-up window and clicking it in state 8 evolves the interface into state 9 and state 10 in sequence.
