Abstract
This utility model describes a surgical simulator designed for training in cleft palate repair procedures. The device consists of a container that provides artificial depth, allowing for the simulation of real-life conditions of limited access in deep cavities. Inside, a three-dimensional anatomical model of a soft palate cleft or secondary palate cleft is located, which can be replaced or interchanged. Unlike existing simulators that faithfully reproduce external oral anatomy, this design prioritizes surgical functionality and accessibility, enabling more precise deep suturing practice. Its modular and simplified structure allows for low-cost manufacturing without compromising the clinical utility of the training, as it contains the three layers (two mucosal and one muscular or bony) to be repaired using different surgical techniques.
