Stepped geometry vortex generator and integrated angular rotation system

Abstract

The Stepped Geometry Vortex Generator with Integrated Angular Rotation System features a technical improvement based on a vortex generator bio-inspired by the feathers of the peregrine falcon. Its fins incorporate transversely aligned micro-protrusions that contribute to the organized shedding of the flow and the formation of helical trajectories around the generator body. Similarly, an angular rotation system is incorporated so that the vortex generators can rotate aerodynamically, thus improving the rotor's operational efficiency under varying wind conditions.
