Wave generating system

Abstract

A wave generating system (1) for surfable waves in a body of water (2) comprising at least one tilting generator (20) and a drive system configured to tilt the tilting generator (20) about an upper rotation axis (40). The tilting generator (20) is provided with a water-displacing front face (23) for the formation of waves in front of the tilting generator (20) and a convex face (24) extending from the front face (23) to an upper face (22) of the tilting generator (20), the rotation axis (40) being disposed above the front face (23). The tilting generator (20) is provided with a simple drive system, compensates for the formation of waves behind the tilting generator (20), and enables the production of quality surfable waves when installed as part of the generating system (1).
