Abstract
The invention provides a compressed mass comprising a marking formulation that includes a marking component. This marking component includes a metal oxide. Laser irradiation is applied to the tablet at a wavelength of approximately 200 nm to approximately 400 nm, causing the marking component to change color. A marking method and formulation are also provided.
