Abstract
One method for producing diesel fuel involves combining a tetraalkoxyborate with a triglyceride composition to form a reaction mixture, where the triglyceride composition includes one from a vegetable oil or an animal fat. The method also involves heating the reaction mixture to a temperature above 40°C to form a diesel fuel containing alkyl esters of fatty acids.
