Abstract
A material is described comprising a transparent substrate coated with a stack of thin layers on at least one of its surfaces to act upon solar and / or infrared radiation likely to be incident upon that surface. The stack of thin layers comprises, starting from the substrate, no more than two functional layers F1 and F2 based on Nb / NbN and TiN, respectively, and three dielectric coatings M1, M2, and M3, each comprising at least one dielectric layer, such that each of the metallic functional layers is sandwiched between two dielectric coatings. The proposed material has a desirably low solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) or solar factor (SF); desirable visible light transmission; thermal stability and color matching capability after a heat treatment such as tempering; and a desirable selectivity value.
