An absorbent hygiene product for absorbing bodily fluids

Abstract

The present invention relates to an absorbent hygienic article (10) for absorbing bodily fluids. The absorbent hygienic article comprises a top sheet (12), an acquisition and distribution layer (14), an absorbent core (16), and a support layer (18), characterized in that the acquisition and distribution layer is disposed between the top sheet and the absorbent core. The top sheet is a nonwoven material comprising cellulose-based fibers. The acquisition and distribution layer is a nonwoven material comprising continuous filaments made of regenerated cellulose, the continuous filaments being multi-linked by a combination of fused filaments, hydrogen bonds, and physical interconnection of the filaments. The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing the absorbent hygienic article.
