Connector for attaching items to a geomembrane

Abstract

An anchorable coupling assembly for a geomembrane, comprising an extrudable polymeric material that is fluid in one state and rigid upon curing, is deposited onto the geomembrane and receives a longitudinally elongated threaded member within the mound before curing. The distal end portion of the member extends upward from the mound, defining a threaded hole in situ. Upon curing, the polymeric material anchors the mound to the geomembrane, and the threaded member is removably unscrewed to attach an item with a fastener received in the threaded hole. A method for attaching an item to a geomembrane is described.
