Abstract
Ionic half-sandwich coordination compounds of iridium in the +III oxidation state, containing a complex cation of the general formula [Ir(η5‑Cpx)(L)(X)]+, where Cpx represents a substituted tetramethylcyclopentadienyl, X is a monodentate halogen ligand and L represents an N,P-donor bidentate ligand based on an amine or pyridine bearing a (diphenylphosphanyl)alkyl substituent for use in the treatment of lung cancer.
