An undercarriage of a vehicle with a multi-axle backbone construction with a central supporting tube

Abstract

In the chassis of a vehicle with a multi-axle backbone structure, the transfer case (10) is provided with holes in which stud bolts (12) are screwed with their first ends, onto whose second ends the transfer case cover (11) is fitted with its holes. The transfer case cover (11) is centred with the transfer case (10) by means of axial cylindrical bearing surfaces with a centring diameter (DR) of the cover (11). The flange (9) of the supporting tube (6, 7) or the connecting part (5, 8) is further fitted with its holes on the second ends of the stud bolts (12). The flange (9) is centred with respect to the transfer case cover (11) by means of axial cylindrical bearing surfaces with a centring diameter (DT) of the flange (9). The openings of the transfer case (10), the transfer case cover (11) and the flange (9) of the support tube (6, 7) or the connecting part (5, 8) are arranged coaxially with each other.The flange (9) of the support tube (6, 7) or the connecting part (5, 8) is secured to the cover (11) and the housing (10) of the axle differential (1 to 3) by means of tightening nuts (13) arranged at the second ends of the stud bolts (12).
