A car charger for wireless charging of a telephone and a method of control of the car charger

Abstract

The car charger (1) for wirelessly charging a phone (7) comprises a holder (3) for an induction coil (11), an induction coil (11) for charging the phone, a control unit (8) and a cover (2) for the induction coil (11). The induction coil (11) is attached to the upper side of the holder (3) for the induction coil (11) and a cover (2) for the induction coil (11) is attached to the upper side of the induction coil (11). When looking at the induction coil (11) from above, the induction coil (1) is surrounded on all sides by the holder (3) for the induction coil (11). The induction coil is communicatively connected to the control unit (8). The car charger (1) further comprises a light source (5). This light source (5) is communicatively connected to the control unit (8). At least a portion of the holder (3) of the induction coil (11) is made of a translucent material for guiding light from the light source (5). The light source (5) is directed into the translucent material of the holder (3).
