Abstract

The electromechanical steering primary transmission comprises coaxial input and output shafts (4, 5), which are connected to each other for torque transmission by means of a positive connection. Both shafts (4, 5) are connected to the electric motor (1) via a gear transmission. The positive connection between the shafts (4, 5) is formed by a front toothed coupling formed on the mutually facing faces of the input and output shafts (4, 5) by means of mutually engaging complementary front splines of these shafts (4, 5). The spline teeth have a lateral clearance (12) to enable mutual rotation of both shafts (4, 5). The shafts (4, 5) are further connected by a flexible member for torque transmission. The gear transmission is formed by gears.
