Abstract
An optically variable imaging device comprises a circular region having a radius R and in which there are K radial optical elements (1 to K) in the form of radially extending grooves or ribs, with distal ends on the circumference of the circular region. The first radial optical element (1) has a length R and each k-th radial optical element (2 to K) is rotated with respect to the first radial optical element (1) by an angle (k-1) 2π(√5 – 1) / 2 radians and its proximal end is distant from the center of the circular region by (k-1)R / K.
