Abstract

A scroll compressor (100) comprises: a hermetic container (10); a compression mechanism (14) in the hermetic container (10) and comprising a compression chamber (1f) in which the refrigerant is compressed by engagement of a thread (1b) of a fixed scroll (1) and a thread (2b) of a rotating scroll (2); a main shaft (6) arranged in the hermetic container (10) and driving the rotating scroll (2) in a rotating motion; an electric motor (5) arranged in the hermetic container (10) for rotationally driving the main shaft (6); a supercharging mechanism (300) arranged in a hermetic container (10) and comprising a turbine (301c) configured to be rotated by refrigerant discharged from a compression chamber (1f), an impeller (301b) configured to be rotated by rotation of the turbine (301c), and a connecting shaft (301a) connected at ends to the turbine (301c) and the impeller (301b). The fixed scroll (1) includes a discharge flow channel (1d) and a suction flow channel (1e). The turbine (301c) of the supercharging mechanism is arranged in the discharge flow channel (1d).The impeller (301b) of the turbocharging mechanism is arranged in the suction flow channel (1e).
