Abstract
Fuel supply system, namely common-rail fuel supply system, of an internal combustion engine, with a low-pressure area, comprising a pumping device comprising at least one high-pressure pump for conveying fuel from the low-pressure area to a high-pressure area, wherein in the high-pressure area between the pumping device and the injectors assigned to the cylinders a pressure storage system having at least one storage unit, permanently under high pressure, is provided, and wherein each high-pressure pump of the pumping device is assigned a suction valve, through which fuel can be drawn from the low-pressure area into a pump chamber of the respective high-pressure pump, and a delivery valve, through which fuel can be conveyed from the pump chamber of the respective high-pressure pump towards the pressure storage system, characterized in thatthat a valve seat (8) of the suction valve (3) and / or a valve seat (10) of the delivery valve (4) of each high-pressure pump (1) is formed by a replaceable seat insert (11, 12), wherein the seat insert (12) for providing the valve seat (10) of the delivery valve (4) and / or the seat insert (11) for providing the valve seat (8) of the suction valve (3) are integrated into a recess (14) of a pump cylinder (5) of the respective high-pressure pump, and wherein a valve body (9) of the delivery valve (4) is arranged in the valve carrier (6) of the respective high-pressure pump, which interacts with the pump cylinder (5), and a valve body (7) of the suction valve (3) is arranged in the pump cylinder (5) of the respective high-pressure pump, wherein the supply line from the low-pressure area to the suction valve and the discharge from the delivery valve to the high-pressure area are arranged in the valve carrier (6) which interacts with the pump cylinder (5).
