Abstract

Method for operating an infotainment system in which handwriting recognition is activated by an activation action, wherein the activation action consists of a gesture performed on a touchscreen (30), wherein the touchscreen (30) is activated only with respect to a touch-sensitive layer and is monitored for the user's activation action, wherein the infotainment system and the handwriting recognition are switched on by a suitable signal as soon as the activation action is detected.
