Abstract

Electromechanical front derailleur (30) for a bicycle (300) with a chain (64), with: • a base element (34) that can be attached to the bicycle (300); • a four-bar linkage mechanism (54) movably coupled to the base element (34); • a chain guide (60) movably coupled to the four-bar linkage mechanism (54) for contacting the chain (64); • a motor (226) supported by the base element (34); • a gear transmission (126) driven by the motor (226) to move the four-bar linkage mechanism (54); • a CPU (276) for controlling the motor (226); • a power supply (42) supported by the base element (34) to operate the motor (226) and the CPU (276); and • a housing (48) on the base element (34); wherein the housing (48) comprises a front housing section (52) which is located at or near the front of the front switching mechanism (30) and a rear housing section (50) which is located behind the front housing section (52), characterized in that the power supply (42) is detachably connected to the rear housing section (50).
