Abstract

Housing (10) for a windshield wiper motor (100), wherein the housing (10) consists of at least two interconnectable housing parts (11, 12), and wherein a sealing element (20) made of elastic material is arranged in the connection area between the two housing parts (11, 12), which is at least partially received in a recess (22) of one of the two housing parts (11, 12), wherein the recess (22) is designed such that a positive locking connection (30) is formed between the sealing element (20) arranged in the recess (22) of one housing part (12) and the housing part (12), wherein the recess (22) is groove-shaped, wherein the cross-section of the recess (22) widens or narrows at least partially to form the positive locking connection (30) between an opening region (29) of the recess (22) and a groove base (26),wherein the cross-section of the recess (22) is at least substantially rectangular and comprises two flat side walls (24, 25) from which at least one projection (27, 28) extends, and wherein the at least one projection (27, 28) is spaced apart from the groove base (26), characterized in that two convexly curved projections (27, 28) extend from the two side walls (24, 25) near the groove base (26) in the direction of a plane of symmetry (23).
