Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a system and a method for connecting a cable drive housing of a window regulator drive motor device to an inner door panel of a motor vehicle door.

[0002] The German utility model DE 203 13 274 U1 discloses a cable window lifter device for a motor vehicle door 10. As shown in the attached drawing taken from DE 203 13 274 U1. Fig. 1, a single-strand cable window lift device comprises a window lift drive motor 22 which is accommodated in a cable drive housing 24 and is connected to an inner door panel 12 via the cable drive housing 24, a driver 82 which can be connected to a window pane (not shown) and to which a deflection pulley 84 is rotatably fastened, a guide rail 90 which guides the driver 82 on a travel path, a pull cable 72 which is driven by the motor 22, guided over an upper and lower deflection pulley 78 and 80 which is rotatably fastened to the guide rail 90 at the top (at 78) and a bottom (at 80) and is connected to the driver 82 via the deflection pulley 84.

[0003] Furthermore, DE 20 2012 001 602 U1 discloses a device for connecting a first part to a second part of a motor vehicle by means of a connecting element which passes through openings of the two parts, and with an acoustic decoupling element which is made of a comparatively softer material than the first or second part.

[0004] Furthermore, DE 85 05 490 U1 discloses a motor vehicle door with a window lifter. Furthermore, DE 695 10 524 T2 discloses an arrangement for attaching an element belonging to a windshield wiper mechanism to the body of a motor vehicle.

[0005] The invention is directed to the connection of the cable drive housing 24 of the motor 22 with the door inner panel 12. The door inner panel 12 has a plurality of (in the Fig. 1: three) mounting holes 14 and the cable drive housing 24 has a plurality of (in the Fig. 1: three) holes 26, which are assigned to the mounting holes 14 and in each of which an internal thread 28 is formed, which is aligned coaxially with respect to the mounting holes 14. Each hole 26 is surrounded by a circular stop surface 30. According to DE 203 13 274 U1 and as in the Fig. 2, when the connection is assembled, each of these stop surfaces 30 rests directly against the door panel 12. Associated with each hole 26 or mounting hole 14 is a screw 32 having a screw head 34 and a screw thread portion 38. To connect the cable drive housing 24 to the inner door panel 12, the screw 32 is aligned coaxially with the mounting hole 14 on the side of the inner door panel 12 facing away from the cable drive housing 24. The screw thread portion 38 is then pushed through the mounting hole 14, inserted into the hole 26, and screwed into the internal thread 28 until the screw head 34 rests against the inner door panel 12. Finally, the screw 32 is tightened.A disadvantage of this design of the connection is that the cable drive housing 24 is rigidly and directly connected to the inner door panel 12, so that operating noises of the motor and the cable drive are transmitted via the cable drive housing 24 directly to the inner door panel 12 and radiated from the inner door panel 12.

[0006] In order to avoid the rigid connection and the direct transmission of operating noise from the cable drive housing 24 to the door inner panel 12, it was proposed to provide a decoupling element 40 made of an elastic material for each hole 26, which is attached to or in the mounting through hole 14, as shown in the Fig. 3. The decoupling element 40 has an opening 42 and an annular first and second section 44 and 46. The first section 44 rests against the inner door panel 12 on one side of the inner door panel 12 and is arranged between the stop surface 30 of the cable drive housing 24 and the inner door panel 12. The second section 46 rests against the opposite side of the inner door panel 12 and is arranged between the screw head 34 of the screw 32 and the inner door panel 12.

[0007] In the opening 42 of the decoupling element 40, a cylindrical spacer 92 is arranged surrounding the screw thread section 38, the length 94 of which, measured in the axial direction, is dimensioned such that the decoupling element 40 is prestressed between the screw head 34 and the stop surface 30, but is not squeezed out of shape, as in the Fig. 3. In this arrangement, the cable drive housing 24 is elastically connected to the inner door panel 12 via the "intermediate" decoupling element 40. The elastic connection dampens the transmission of operating noise from the cable drive housing 24 to the inner door panel 12. The disadvantage of this connection design is that two additional components, namely the decoupling element 40 and the spacer 92, are required during manufacture, and that additional steps must be carried out during assembly, namely attaching the decoupling element 40 to or in the mounting through-hole 14 and positioning the spacer 92 in the opening 42 of the decoupling element 40, which increases the material and parts expenditure, the assembly effort, and the costs.

[0008] The object of the invention is to provide a system and a method for connecting a cable drive housing to a door inner panel, in which the transmission of operating noise of the cable drive motor (structure-borne noise) from the cable drive housing to the door inner panel is dampened and the material and parts expenditure, the assembly expenditure and the costs are reduced.

[0009] This object is achieved by a system having the features of independent patent claim 1, a system having the features of independent patent claim 3, a method having the features of independent patent claim 10, and a method having the features of independent patent claim 11. Advantageous embodiments and further developments are the subject matter of the dependent claims.

[0010] The starting point of the invention is a system for connecting a cable drive housing of a window lift drive motor device to an inner door panel of a motor vehicle door, wherein the inner door panel has at least one mounting hole and the cable drive housing has at least one hole that can be aligned coaxially with the mounting hole. For each mounting hole or for each hole, a decoupling element made of an elastic material, such as rubber, is provided, which has an axial opening and at least two, in particular substantially annular, sections, and which is intended to be connected to orto be mounted in the mounting hole of the inner door panel, that the first section covers a first circumferential region of the inner door panel arranged on the side of the inner door panel facing the cable drive housing and surrounding the mounting hole, and that the second section covers a second circumferential region of the inner door panel arranged on the side of the inner door panel facing away from the cable drive housing and surrounding the mounting hole.

[0011] According to a first aspect of the invention, the system further comprises the cable drive housing, which has the at least one hole, a stop surface surrounding the hole and facing the inner door panel, in particular a substantially circular ring, and an annular shoulder protruding from the stop surface. The stop surface is designed to bear against the first portion of the decoupling element, and the annular shoulder is designed to be arranged substantially in the opening of the decoupling element attached to or in the mounting through-hole.

[0012] The system according to the first aspect further comprises a screw having a screw thread portion and a screw head with a circular surface arranged on the thread side. The screw thread portion is designed to at least partially penetrate the hole in the cable drive housing, and an outer portion of the circular surface is designed to bear against the second portion of the decoupling element.

[0013] In the system according to the first aspect of the invention, the annular shoulder of the cable drive housing can have a lateral surface and an inner annular surface adjoining it radially inwardly, wherein the inner annular surface is designed to bear against an inner portion of the annular surface of the screw head.

[0014] According to a second aspect of the invention, the system further comprises the cable drive housing, which has the at least one hole and a stop surface surrounding the hole, which can be turned towards the inner door panel and is in particular substantially annular, an outer portion of which is intended to bear against the first portion of the decoupling element.

[0015] The system according to the second aspect further comprises a screw having a screw thread portion, a screw head with an outer annular surface arranged on the thread side, and an annular shoulder arranged between the screw thread portion and the screw head. The annular shoulder protrudes from the outer annular surface on the thread side and is intended to be arranged substantially in the opening of the decoupling element attached to or in the mounting through-hole.

[0016] In the system according to the second aspect of the invention, the screw thread portion can be configured to at least partially penetrate the hole in the cable drive housing. The outer annular surface of the screw head can be configured to bear against the second portion of the decoupling element.

[0017] Furthermore, according to the second aspect, the annular shoulder of the screw collar can have a lateral surface and an inner circular surface adjoining it radially inward. The inner circular surface can be configured to bear against an inner portion of the stop surface surrounding the hole in the cable drive housing.

[0018] The essence of the invention is that an annular shoulder is provided which replaces the spacer from the prior art and fulfills its function, while being integrated into a component that is already required. According to the first aspect of the invention, the annular shoulder is integrated into the cable drive housing and protrudes from the stop surface surrounding the hole. According to the second aspect of the invention, the annular shoulder is integrated into the screw and protrudes from the thread-side annular surface of the screw head. The integration of the annular shoulder in a component that is already required eliminates the spacer that is additionally required in the prior art and, during assembly, the additional work step of positioning the spacer in the opening of the decoupling element.

[0019] According to the first and second aspects of the invention, the following embodiments of the system according to the invention can be provided.

[0020] The stop surface of the cable drive housing surrounding the hole can be essentially circular. This way, the stop surface is adapted to the shape of the first section of the decoupling element, against which it also rests when installed.

[0021] An internal thread can be formed in the hole of the cable drive housing. The screw thread section can be designed to engage the internal thread of the hole. This design allows for easy screwing and tightening of the screw during assembly.

[0022] The decoupling element can be substantially U-shaped in radial section. One leg of the "U" can span the first section in the circumferential direction and the other leg of the "U" can span the second section in the circumferential direction. The decoupling element can further comprise a third section, in particular a substantially cylindrical section, which spans a shell surface surrounding the opening in the circumferential direction and connects the first section to the second section. The decoupling element can be designed such that the third section covers an inner wall surface of the mounting through-hole. In particular, the third section can be substantially cylindrical and, in radial section, connect the first leg of the "U" to the second leg of the "U".Due to these decoupling element designs, the inner door panel is covered by the elastic decoupling element in the area surrounding the mounting hole, where the decoupling element extends, so that neither the stop surface of the cable drive housing surrounding the hole nor the screw head come into direct contact with the inner door panel. This prevents the direct transmission of structure-borne sound from the cable drive housing to the inner door panel.

[0023] The height of the annular shoulder, measured in the axial direction, can be smaller than the thickness of the decoupling element, measured in the axial direction. In particular, the axial thickness of the decoupling element can be dimensioned such that the decoupling element is compressed and preloaded between the annular surface of the screw head and the stop surface of the cable drive housing when the screw is fully screwed in, but is not crushed out of shape.

[0024] An outer diameter of the stop surface of the cable drive housing surrounding the hole can be substantially equal to an outer diameter of a surface of the first section of the decoupling element facing the cable drive housing. In this way, the cable drive housing and the decoupling element, or more precisely, the first section of the decoupling element, are optimally matched to each other in terms of shape and size.

[0025] Analogously, the outer diameter of the screw head can be substantially as large as or smaller than the outer diameter of a surface of the second section of the decoupling element facing away from the cable drive housing. In this way, the screw head and the decoupling element, or more precisely, its second section, are optimally matched in terms of shape and size.

[0026] According to the first aspect of the invention, a method is also provided for mounting a cable drive housing of a window lift drive motor device to an inner door panel of a motor vehicle door by means of at least one screw, wherein the cable drive housing, the inner door panel, and the screw are elements of a system designed according to the first aspect, which system is configured as described above and includes the screw. The method comprises the following steps: Attaching the decoupling piece to or in the mounting hole of the inner door panel, so that the first section of the decoupling piece covers a first circumferential region of the inner door panel arranged on the side of the inner door panel facing the cable drive housing and surrounding the mounting hole, and that the second section covers a second circumferential region of the inner door panel arranged on the side of the inner door panel facing away from the cable drive housing and surrounding the mounting hole, Pre-positioning the cable drive housing with respect to the inner door panel so that the hole of the cable drive housing is substantially coaxial with the mounting hole of the inner door panel and the annular shoulder of the cable drive housing is arranged in the opening of the decoupling element, Pre-positioning the screw on the side of the door inner panel facing away from the cable drive housing so that the screw thread section faces the door inner panel and is substantially coaxial with the opening of the decoupling element, and Insert the screw thread section through the opening of the decoupling element into the hole of the rope drive housing.

[0027] According to the second aspect of the invention, a method is provided for mounting a cable drive housing of a window lift drive motor device to an inner door panel of a motor vehicle door by means of at least one screw, wherein the cable drive housing, the inner door panel, and the screw are elements of a system according to the second aspect of the invention, as described above. The method comprises the following steps: Attaching the decoupling piece to or in the mounting hole of the inner door panel, so that the first section of the decoupling piece covers a first circumferential region of the inner door panel arranged on the side of the inner door panel facing the cable drive housing and surrounding the mounting hole, and that the second section covers a second circumferential region of the inner door panel arranged on the side of the inner door panel facing away from the cable drive housing and surrounding the mounting hole, Pre-positioning the cable drive housing with respect to the door inner panel so that the hole of the cable drive housing is substantially coaxial with the mounting hole of the door inner panel and the distance of the stop surface of the cable drive housing from the door inner panel is less than the length of the screw thread section, Pre-positioning the screw on the side of the door inner panel facing away from the cable drive housing so that the screw thread section faces the door inner panel and is substantially coaxial with the opening of the decoupling element, and Insert the screw thread section through the opening of the decoupling element into the hole of the rope drive housing and insert the ring shoulder of the screw into the opening of the decoupling element.

[0028] In both the method according to the first aspect and the method according to the second aspect, the screw, ie the screw thread portion, can then be screwed into the hole formed in the cable drive housing and the screw can then be tightened.

[0029] A respective procedure can then be carried out on the other holes of the inner door panel or the mounting holes of the cable drive housing.

[0030] Embodiments of the invention are described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. Fig. 1 View of an inside of a motor vehicle door with an inner door panel and a window lift assembly with a window lift drive motor device attached to the inner door panel, Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view of a system for connecting a cable drive housing of a window lift drive motor device to an inner door panel of a motor vehicle door according to a first known embodiment, Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view of a system for connecting a cable drive housing of a window lift drive motor device to an inner door panel of a motor vehicle door according to a second known embodiment, Fig. 4 a perspective and partially sectioned section of a system for connecting a cable drive housing of a window lift drive motor device to an inner door panel of a motor vehicle door according to a first embodiment of the invention, and Fig. 5 a perspective and partially sectioned section of a system for connecting a cable drive housing of a window lift drive motor device to an inner door panel of a motor vehicle door according to a second embodiment of the invention.

[0031] The Fig. 2 and Fig. The known embodiments of the connection of a cable drive housing 24 to an inner door panel 12 shown in Figure 3 and their disadvantages were explained at the beginning and will not be repeated here.

[0032] The Fig. 4 and Fig. 5 show, by way of example, a first and a second embodiment of a system according to the invention for connecting the cable drive housing 24 to the inner door panel 12. In both embodiments, the inner door panel 12 has at least one mounting through-hole 14 and the cable drive housing 24 has at least one hole 26 that can be aligned coaxially with the mounting through-hole 14.

[0033] Also in both versions and as in the Fig. 4 and Fig. 5, the system according to the invention comprises a decoupling element 40. The decoupling element 40 has an axial opening 42 that can be arranged coaxially with the mounting through-hole 14, a first section 44 and a second section 46, both of which are essentially circular, and a third section 48, which is essentially cylindrical, surrounds the opening 42 and connects the first section 44 to the second section 46. The decoupling element 40 is made of an elastic material, such as rubber. It is thus attached to ormounted in the mounting through hole 14 of the inner door panel 12, that the first section 44 covers an annular, first circumferential region 18 of the inner door panel 12 arranged on the side of the inner door panel 12 facing the cable drive housing 24 and surrounding the mounting through hole 14, that the second section 46 covers an annular, second circumferential region 20 of the inner door panel 12 arranged on the side of the inner door panel 12 facing away from the cable drive housing 24 and surrounding the mounting through hole 14, and that the third section 48 covers an inner wall surface 16 of the mounting through hole 14. The decoupling element 40 is, seen in a radial section, substantially U-shaped, wherein one leg of the “U” spans the first section 44 in the circumferential direction, the other leg of the “U” spans the second section 46 in the circumferential direction, and the third section 48 forms a circumferential surface surrounding the opening 42.

[0034] In the in the Fig. 4, the cable drive housing 24 comprises at least one hole 26 associated with the mounting through-hole 14, a substantially circular stop surface 30 surrounding the hole 26 and facing the inner door panel 12, and an annular shoulder 52 protruding from the stop surface 30. The stop surface 30 is provided to bear against the first section 44 of the decoupling element 40. The annular shoulder 52 is provided to be arranged in the opening 42 of the decoupling element 40 attached to or in the mounting through-hole 14 and to serve as a spacer or to fulfill the function of the Fig. 3, as shown in the prior art, as explained below.

[0035] The annular shoulder 52 of the cable drive housing 24 has a cylindrical outer surface 54 and an inner annular surface 56 adjoining it radially inward, which is intended to bear against an inner section of the annular surface 36 of the screw head 34. The height 58 of the annular shoulder 52, measured in the axial direction, is slightly smaller than the thickness 50 of the decoupling element 40, measured in the axial direction. The height 58 is dimensioned such that the decoupling element 40 is compressed and preloaded between the annular surface 36 of the screw head 34 and the stop surface 30 of the cable drive housing 24 when the screw 32 is screwed in as far as it will go, but without the shape of the decoupling element 40, which is generally "U"-shaped in radial section, being changed or crushed.

[0036] The one in the Fig. The connection system shown in Figure 4 further comprises a screw 32, known per se, associated with the hole 26, having a screw thread portion 38 and a screw head 34 on which an annular surface 36 is formed on the thread side. An outer portion of the annular surface 36 is intended to bear against the second portion 46 of the decoupling element 40. The screw thread portion 38 is intended to penetrate into the hole 26 of the cable drive housing 24 and to at least partially penetrate it. An internal thread 28 is formed in the hole 26 of the cable drive housing 24, and the screw thread portion 38 is intended to cooperate with and engage the internal thread 28 of the hole 26.

[0037] In the in the Fig. In the second embodiment of the connection system shown in Fig. 5, the cable drive housing 24 comprises at least one hole 26 associated with the mounting through-hole 14 and a substantially circular stop surface 30 surrounding the hole 26 and facing the inner door panel 12. An outer portion of the stop surface 30 is provided to bear against the first portion 44 of the decoupling element 40.

[0038] The Fig. The connection system shown in Figure 5 further comprises a screw 32, which in this embodiment is not a conventional screw, but one specially designed for the intended application. Fig. 5, the screw 32 comprises a screw thread section 38, a screw head 34 with an outer circular surface 36 arranged on the thread side, and an annular shoulder 62 arranged between the screw thread section 38 and the screw head 34, which rises on the thread side from the outer circular surface 36. The annular shoulder 62 is intended to be arranged in the opening 42 of the decoupling element 40 attached to or in the mounting through-hole 14, and to serve as a spacer or to fulfill the function of the Fig. 3, as shown in the prior art, as explained below.

[0039] The annular shoulder 62 of the screw 32 comprises a cylindrical outer surface 64 and an inner annular surface 66 adjoining it radially inward. The inner annular surface 66 is intended to bear against an inner portion of the circular stop surface 30 of the housing 24, which surrounds the hole 26 of the cable drive housing 24. The outer annular surface 36 of the screw head 34 is intended to bear against the second portion 46 of the decoupling element 40. The height 68 of the annular shoulder 62, measured in the axial direction, is slightly smaller than the thickness 50 of the decoupling element 40, measured in the axial direction.

[0040] The height 68 is dimensioned such that the decoupling element 40 is compressed and pre-tensioned between the circular ring surface 36 of the screw head 34 and the stop surface 30 of the cable drive housing 24 in a maximally screwed-in state of the screw 32, but without the generally "U"-shaped configuration of the decoupling element 40 in radial section being changed or squeezed with regard to its shape.

[0041] In the in the Fig. 4 shown, first embodiment and in the Fig. In the second embodiment shown in Figure 5, the outer diameter of the stop surface 30 of the cable drive housing 24 surrounding the hole is substantially equal to the outer diameter of the surface of the first portion 44 of the decoupling element 40 facing the cable drive housing 24. Furthermore, the outer diameter of the screw head 34 is substantially equal to or smaller than the outer diameter of the surface of the second portion 46 of the decoupling element 40 facing away from the cable drive housing 24.

[0042] Both in the Fig. 4 as well as in the Fig. 5, during assembly to establish the connection of the cable drive housing 24 of the motor 22 to the inner door panel 12, the decoupling piece 40 is first attached to or in the mounting through hole 14 of the inner door panel 12, so that the first section 44 of the decoupling piece 40 covers the first circumferential region 18 of the inner door panel 12, which is arranged on the side of the inner door panel 12 facing the cable drive housing 24 and surrounds the mounting through hole 14, and the second section 46 covers the second circumferential region 20 of the inner door panel 12, which is arranged on the side of the inner door panel 12 facing away from the cable drive housing 24 and surrounds the mounting through hole 14. Then, the cable drive housing 24 is pre-positioned with respect to the door inner panel 12 such that the hole 26 of the cable drive housing 24 is arranged substantially coaxially with the mounting through hole 14 of the door inner panel 12.

[0043] In the in the Fig. In the embodiment shown in Figure 4, the annular shoulder 52 of the cable drive housing 24 is then also arranged coaxially in the opening 42 of the decoupling element 40. The screw 32 is then pre-positioned on the side of the door inner panel 12 facing away from the cable drive housing 24 such that the screw thread portion 38 faces the door inner panel 12 and is arranged substantially coaxially with the opening 42 of the decoupling element 40. The screw thread portion 38 is then inserted through the opening 42 of the decoupling element 40 into the hole 26 of the cable drive housing 24. Finally, the screw 32 is screwed in and tightened using a tool, whereby the screw thread portion 38 engages in the internal thread 28 of the hole 26.

[0044] At the Fig.5, the cable drive housing 24 is first pre-positioned with respect to the inner door panel 12 such that the hole 26 of the cable drive housing 24 is arranged coaxially with the mounting through-hole 14 of the inner door panel 12 and the distance of the stop surface 30 of the cable drive housing 24 from the inner door panel 12 is less than the length of the screw thread section 38. Subsequently, the screw 32 is pre-positioned on the side of the inner door panel 12 facing away from the cable drive housing 24 such that the screw thread section 38 faces the inner door panel 12 and is coaxial with the opening 42 of the decoupling element 40. The screw thread section 38 is then inserted through the opening 42 of the decoupling element 40 into the hole 26 of the cable drive housing 24 and the annular shoulder 62 of the screw 32 is inserted into the opening 42 of the decoupling element 40.Finally, the screw 32 is screwed in and tightened using a tool, whereby the screw thread section 38 engages in the internal thread 28 of the hole 26.
