Abstract

Assembly comprising a surge protection device (SPD) and an electrical terminal device or consumer, wherein the electrical terminal device or consumer has a low-voltage network connection (L) which has at least one phase and additionally at least one control signal connection (Lst) for a control line, wherein a change in the operating state of the respective terminal device or consumer can be specified via the control signal connection (Lst), wherein the surge protection device (SPD) comprises an arrangement of varistors (V), each of which is assigned a thermal disconnect device (ATV) and an optical function indicator (D), and at least one gas discharge tube (G) connected between the mains connection (L) and a protective conductor (PE), wherein the surge protection device (SPD) further comprises a first varistor (V) with thermal disconnect device (ATV) between the mains connection (L) and a neutral conductor (N), and wherein the surge protection device (SPD) has a second varistor (V) with thermal disconnect device (ATV) between the control signal terminal (Lst) and the neutral conductor (N), and where the surge protection device (SPD) is located in the immediate vicinity of the electrical terminal device or consumer.
