Abstract

Bicycle front derailleur (10), including: a basic component (12) configured to be coupled to a bicycle frame (2); a chain guide (14) configured to guide a bicycle chain (4); a first link (16) configured to couple the chain guide (14) to the base component (12) such that the chain guide (14) is movable between a retracted position (P1) and an extended position (P2) relative to the base component (12); and a cable guide (38) and a further cable guide (44), which are separate components from the first link (16) and which are selectively attached to the first link (16), wherein the cable guide (38) comprises a cable guide section (40) configured to guide a switching cable (5) of a control cable (6) located in a top-pull arrangement, and the further cable guide (44) comprises a further cable guide section (46) configured to guide a switching cable (5) of a control cable (6) located in a bottom-pull arrangement, wherein the rope guide (38) is configured so that it can be detachably attached to the first link (16) in such a way that it can be replaced with another rope guide.
