Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a cover for a floor drainage channel, according to the preamble of claim 1. Covers for floor drainage channels serve to cover the drainage channels in order to allow walking and driving in wet environments. Such covers tend to accumulate dirt and debris at the contact points on both sides of the drainage channel, which can only be removed with considerable and time-consuming cleaning effort. A cover of this type is known, for example, from EP 0 337 110 A1. Further drainage channels are known from DE 10 2005 034 170 A1, EP 0 898 024 A1, DE 20 2004 020 283 U1, and KR 101 770 155 B1. The object of the invention is therefore to create a cover in which cleaning at the contact points of the support edges of a floor drainage channel can be carried out simply, effectively and in a time-saving manner, and preferably also automatically using drainage water. This problem is essentially solved by a cover according to the preamble of claim 1 with features of the characterizing part of that claim. The dependent claims relate to inventive additions for further improvement of the invention. The cover for a floor drainage channel consists, in a known manner, of a longitudinally extending central part with cantilevers projecting at right angles to it on both sides, which rest on the support edges of the floor drainage channel and between which drainage openings are provided. The cover's construction, consisting of a longitudinally extending central section and outriggers projecting at right angles to it on both sides, of at least partially equal numbers and maximum length on both sides of the central section, with the new arrangement of the outriggers on one side of the central section offset to the outriggers on the opposite side in the middle of their drainage openings, allows the support points to be released, both at the support edges and at the ends of the cover's outriggers resting on them, by turning the cover over. Preferably, the cover is designed so that the support arm rests on one end of the support surface and the support arm rests on the other end of the support surface. This allows identically shaped covers to always be placed adjacent to each other on the support surfaces of the floor drain channel, ensuring that the drainage openings form a uniform sequence and making it easy to detect if a cover has been omitted from its orientation. For the close-fitting placement of successive covers, which is necessary for a uniform drainage without increased material deposition, it may be provided that at one end on the boom on one side of the middle section and at the other end on the boom on the opposite side with an edge, on which essentially each ends in its full width. Furthermore, it is advantageous to arrange the edges of successive covers at adjacent ends so that they run in a way that aligns with each other. To even out the flow and reduce material deposition, it may be possible to give the outriggers a rounded shape at their contact ends and at the drainage openings. To ensure good cleaning performance when turning the covers, it is advantageous to provide that the drainage openings between the arms on each side of the middle section have a width that is at least equal to the width of the arms. Furthermore, by designing the cover and the outriggers with uniformly smooth surfaces on both sides, top and bottom, the possibility of deposits from stuck material is reduced. Further advantages and features of the present invention will become apparent from the following description in conjunction with the embodiment shown in the drawing. The description, claims, and drawing use the terms and associated reference numerals listed below. In the drawing, Fig. 1 shows a top view of a cover placed on a drainage channel. Fig. 1 shows a floor drainage channel 5 with the cover 1 placed on top and torn-off sections of an adjoining, non-inverted cover 1' below and an adjoining inverted cover 1'' above it. The cover 1 consists of a central part 2 extending over its length and of cantilevers 3 and 3' of equal length projecting at right angles on both sides, which are spaced apart from each other by drainage openings 6 and 6' and are supported on both sides on support edges 4 and 4' of the drainage channel 5. At the two ends 7 and 7' of the cover 1, the last arranged outriggers are arranged projecting in opposite directions. The edges 8 and 8' at the ends 7 and 7' run straight and at right angles to the longitudinal extent of the cover 1. The ends of the booms 3 and 3' are rounded, as are the drain openings 6 and 6' on the central section 2. The subsequent covers 1' and 1'' are constructed in the same way and fit snugly against cover 1. Claims
Cover (1) consisting of a longitudinally extending central part (2), provided with cantilevers (3, 3') projecting on both sides at right angles to this, which are supported on bearing edges (4, 4') of a floor drainage channel (5) and between which drainage openings (6, 6') are provided, characterized in that the cantilevers (3) on one side of the central part (2) are arranged offset to the cantilevers (3') of the opposite side in the middle of their drainage openings (6'). Cover (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the cantilever (3`) at one end (7) of the cover (1) rests on one support edge (4`) and the cantilever (3) at the other end (7') rests on the other support edge (4) of the floor drainage channel (5). Cover (1) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the cover (1) terminates at one end (7) on the last extension (3`) and at the other end (7') on the opposite last extension (3) with an edge (8 and 8') substantially across the full width of the extension (3 and 3'). Cover (1) according to claim 3, characterized in that, in the case of several adjacent covers (1', 1, 1''), the edges (8 and 8') are adapted to each other at the corresponding ends (7 and 7'). Cover (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the extensions (3, 3') at their ends and the drainage openings (6, 6') on the central part (2) have a rounded shape. Cover (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cantilevers (3, 3') are spaced apart from each other on each side of the central part (2) by drainage openings (6, 6') whose width corresponds at least to the width of the cantilevers (3, 3').
