Abstract

shunt (100) comprising: a power terminal (118) having a planar first potential region (FPR) (102) connected via a resistive element (106) to a second potential region (SPR) (104), wherein the SPR (104) is offset from the FPR (102) and runs parallel to it; and a sensor connection (120) comprising a first potential lead (FPL) (108) connected to the FPR (102) and a second potential lead (SPL) (110) connected to the SPR (104) and separated from the FPL (108) by an insulating plate (112), wherein the SPL (110) and the insulating plate (112) cover the resistive element (106), characterized in that the resistive element (106) is plane-parallel with the SPR (104) and the FPR (102) is separated from the SPR (104) by an insulating plate (114).
