Description

[0001] This application claims priority over Japanese patent application No. 2017-086998, filed on April 26, 2017. The entire disclosure of Japanese patent application No. 2017-086998 is hereby incorporated by references herein. BACKGROUND Area of the invention

[0002] The invention relates to a spinning reel. Description of related areas

[0003] In a spinning reel, a fishing line is wound around a spool as a rotor rotates. Generally, a spinning reel includes a spool shaft on which the spool is mounted and a pinion gear on which the rotor is fixed. The spool shaft is located on a reel body and extends longitudinally through the inside of the pinion gear. The spool shaft moves back and forth along the length of the reel body, accompanied by the rotation of a handle.

[0004] When the spool shaft moves back and forth along the length of the reel body, accompanying the rotation of the handle, the rotational power of the pinion is reduced as the spool shaft and pinion rub against each other. To counteract this reduction in the pinion's rotational power, a collar supporting the spool shaft is provided on the pinion's tip, as demonstrated, for example, in JP 2003-284465A. This collar supports the spool shaft, creating a predetermined gap between the pinion's inner circumferential surface and the spool shaft's outer circumferential surface. Consequently, the contact area between the spool shaft and pinion decreases, and the increase in the frictional force generated between the spool shaft and pinion is suppressed.

[0005] The inner circumferential surface of the collar supporting the coil shaft must be machined with high precision. In JP 2003 - 284 465 A, a nut or pinion abuts this type of collar, limiting its axial and radial movement.

[0006] In a configuration like the one in JP 2003-284465A, however, the pinion's tip and collar rub against each other as the pinion rotates, and the pinion's rotational power can be reduced. JP 2003-284465A also prevents bending of the coil shaft and / or misalignment or tilting of the nut, etc., because it restricts the nut's radial movement relative to the collar. If the coil shaft is bent, or if elements arranged around the coil shaft are misaligned or tilted, the frictional force generated between the elements and the collar increases, and the pinion's rotational power can be reduced, or a problem with the coil shaft's longitudinal movement can occur.

[0007] Furthermore, the disclosure of DE 602 24 612 T2 may be helpful for understanding the present invention. OVERVIEW

[0008] The object of the present invention is to suppress the reduction in the rotational power of the scoring in a spinning reel and to move the bobbin shaft smoothly in the longitudinal direction.

[0009] The spinning reel according to one aspect of the present invention, in which a fishing line can be wound around a spool during the rotation of a rotor, comprises a spool shaft on which the spool is mounted, a pinion gear, a collar, a nut, and an elastic element. The pinion gear is arranged around the spool shaft, and a rotor is mounted on it in a rotationally fixed manner. The collar is tubular, rotatably mounted on one end face of the spool shaft in the axial direction of the pinion gear, and supports the spool shaft. The nut is tubular, arranged to receive the collar, and screwed onto the pinion gear. The elastic element is arranged between the outer circumferential surface of the collar and the inner circumferential surface of the nut.

[0010] In this spinning wheel, an elastic element is positioned between the collar supporting the bobbin shaft and the nut. Accordingly, the collar can be supported by the nut via the elastic element, creating a gap between the collar and the nut. Even if the inner circumferential surface of the collar is machined with high precision, ensuring proper support of the bobbin shaft, the gap between the collar and the nut, combined with the elastic deformation of the elastic element, can cause the bobbin shaft to bend and / or misalign or tilt the nut surrounding the bobbin shaft. Furthermore, the axial movement of the collar can also be limited by the elastic element. Therefore, it is possible to suppress the frictional force generated between the collar and the pinion, and consequently, it is possible to reduce the suppression of the pinion's rotational power and also to make the movement of the coil shaft smoother.

[0011] Preferably, the spinning reel further includes a termination element arranged on the end face of the collar, which holds the collar on the bobbin shaft. The collar comprises a small-diameter section that can contact the end face of the pinion, and a large-diameter section that can contact the termination section and whose diameter is larger than that of the small-diameter section. The elastic element is arranged between the outer circumferential surface of the small-diameter section of the collar and the inner circumferential surface of the nut. In this embodiment, the collar and the elastic element are held on the bobbin shaft using a simple configuration.

[0012] Preferably, the end element is a sealing element that seals the gap between the coil shaft and the collar. In this embodiment, the end element can also be a sealing element.

[0013] Preferably, the spinning roller further includes a holder arranged on the outer circumferential section of the nut, which prevents the nut from rotating. The nut comprises a head section that receives the collar and a section with an internal thread that is screwed onto the pinion. The holder includes a projection section that extends to the radially inner side and faces the head section of the nut in the axial direction. The end element is mounted immovably in the axial direction between the projection section of the holder and the head section of the nut. In this embodiment, the end element can be fixed between the holder and the nut.

[0014] Preferably, the collar comprises a large-diameter section that can contact the end of the pinion in the axial direction, and a small-diameter section whose diameter is smaller than the outer diameter of the large-diameter section. The nut comprises a terminal section whose diameter is smaller than the diameter of the large-diameter section of the collar, and a stepped section whose diameter is larger than the outer diameter of the large-diameter section of the collar. The terminal section of the nut is arranged opposite the small-diameter section of the collar. The stepped section of the nut is arranged opposite the large-diameter section of the collar. The elastic element is arranged between the large-diameter section of the collar and the stepped section of the nut.In this embodiment, the collar and the elastic element can be held on the spool shaft using a simple configuration.

[0015] Preferably, the axial movement of the collar is limited by the end face of an end face of the pinion and the end section of the nut. In this embodiment, the axial movement of the collar can be limited using a simple configuration.

[0016] Preferably, the axial movement of the elastic element is limited by the end face of a pinion face and the end section of the nut. In this embodiment, the axial movement of the elastic element can be limited using a simple configuration.

[0017] Preferably, the collar is made of an oil-impregnated sintered metal. Since the smoothness of the collar is improved, this embodiment suppresses the frictional force generated between the collar and the elements in contact with it.

[0018] Preferably, the elastic element is an O-ring. This embodiment makes the installation of the elastic element easier.

[0019] According to the present invention, a reduction in the rotational power of the pinion can be suppressed in a spinning reel and the spool shaft can be moved smoothly in the longitudinal direction. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES Fig. Figure 1 is a longitudinal section of a spinning wheel utilizing an embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 2 is a partially enlarged view of Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is a Fig. 2. Corresponding diagram of another embodiment. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EXECUTION FORMS FIRST EXECUTION FORMS

[0020] Fig. Figure 1 is a longitudinal section of a spinning reel 100 utilizing an embodiment of the present invention. The spinning reel 100 comprises a reel body 1, a spool shaft 2, a spool 3, a rotor 4, and a pinion 5. Regarding forward and backward in the following description, when fishing, the direction in which the fishing line is unwound (casted) is forward, and the opposite direction (retrieving) is backward. In particular, in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2. The left side is defined as forward (i.e., the casting direction) and the right side as backward (i.e., the retrieval direction). Furthermore, left and right mean left and right when viewing the spinning reel 100 from behind.

[0021] The reel body includes an interior space containing a rotor drive mechanism 6 and a pendulum mechanism 7, which winds the fishing line evenly around the spool 3, etc. A handle 8 is rotatably mounted on the right section of the reel body 1.

[0022] The spool shaft 2 is arranged longitudinally on the roller body 1. The spool shaft 2 extends through the interior of the pinion 5.

[0023] The spool 3 is the element around which the fishing line is wound. The spool 3 is fixed to the spool shaft 2 by a knob 10, which is screwed onto the end of the spool shaft 2. The spool 3 moves back and forth along the length of the reel body 1 together with the spool shaft 2, accompanying the rotation of the handle 8.

[0024] The rotor 4 is an element for winding the fishing line around the spool 3. The rotor 4 rotates around the central axis of the spool 3, accompanying the rotation of the handle 8.

[0025] The pinion 5 is arranged around the shaft of the coil shaft 2. The rotor 4 is mounted to the pinion 5 in a rotationally fixed manner. As described below, the rotor 4 is in particular secured by a nut 11 which engages an external screw thread 5a formed on the outer circumferential surface of the front end of the pinion 5 (see Fig. 2) is screwed onto the pinion 5 and is mounted in a rotationally fixed manner. The pinion 5 is rotatably supported by the roller body 1 by an axle bearing 12 and an axle bearing 13.

[0026] On the front face of the pinion 5, a tubular collar 15, which supports the coil shaft 2, is rotatably arranged on the coil shaft 2. The collar 15 is made of oil-impregnated sintered metal; accordingly, the sliding properties of the collar 15 are increased and the friction between the collar 15 and the coil shaft 2 is suppressed.

[0027] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 2, the collar 15 supports the coil shaft 2, creating a predetermined gap A in the axial direction between the inner circumferential surface of the pinion 5 and the outer circumferential surface of the coil shaft 2. By forming the gap A and reducing the contact area between the pinion 5 and the coil shaft, the friction between the pinion 5 and the coil shaft 2 can be suppressed.

[0028] The collar 15 comprises a section 15a with a small diameter and a section 15b with a large diameter. The section 15a with a small diameter is arranged such that its rear end face can contact the front end face of the pinion 5. The section 15a with a small diameter is designed such that its outer diameter is smaller than the outer diameter of the pinion 5.

[0029] Section 15b with a large diameter has a larger diameter than the outer diameter of section 15a with a small diameter and is designed to extend forward from section 15a with a small diameter along the coil shaft 2. The inner diameters of section 15b with a large diameter and section 15a with a small diameter are the same.

[0030] A tubular nut 11 is arranged on the outer circumferential section of the collar 15 to receive the collar 15. The nut 11 includes a head section 11a and a section 11b with an internal thread. The collar 15 is received in the inner circumferential section of the head section 11a, and a section 11b with an internal thread is formed on the rear section of the inner circumferential surface of the nut 11. The internally threaded section 11b is screwed onto the external thread 5a formed on the outer circumferential surface at the front end of the pinion 5.

[0031] A holder 16 arranged on the outer circumferential section of the nut 11 can prevent the nut 11 from rotating. The holder 16 is fixed to the rotor 4 by a plurality of screw elements 17. The holder 16 includes a projection 16a that extends towards the radially inner side. The projection 16a is formed in front of the holder 16 and is arranged axially opposite the head section 11a of the nut 11.

[0032] In the axial direction, a sealing (closing) element 18 is arranged between the extension section 16a of the holder 16 and the head section 11a of the nut 11. The sealing element 18 is sandwiched between the extension section 16a of the holder 16 and the head section 11a of the nut and is fixed in the axial direction. In the present embodiment, the sealing element 18 is a rubber lip seal that contacts the coil shaft 2 in front of the collar 15 and seals the gap between the coil shaft 2 and the collar 15.

[0033] The sealing element 18 includes a contact section 18a at its rear, which can contact the large-diameter section 15b of the collar 15. The axial length from the contact section 18a to the front end face of the pinion 5 is longer than the axial length of the collar 15, and a gap B is arranged between the two. The collar is axially movable by approximately the width of the gap B between the contact section 18a and the front end face of the pinion 5. In other words, the axial movement of the collar 15 is limited by the sealing element 18 and the pinion 5, and the collar is thus held on the coil shaft 2.

[0034] Since, as described below, the elastic element 20 is arranged on the small-diameter section 15a of the collar 15, the contact pressure between them is low, even if the elastic element 20 deforms elastically and the collar 15 and the pinion 5 or the collar 15 and the sealing element 18 come into contact, although the collar 15 is movable in the axial direction between the contact section 18a of the sealing element 18 and the front face of the pinion 5. Accordingly, the frictional force generated when the elements come into contact can be minimized, and the reduction in the rotational power of the pinion 5 can be suppressed.

[0035] The elastic element 20 is arranged between the outer circumferential surface of the small-diameter section 15a of the collar 15 and the inner circumferential surface of the nut 11. The elastic element 20 is, for example, a rubber element capable of elastic deformation, or, in the present embodiment, an O-ring. The collar 15 is supported by the nut 11 via the elastic element 20, creating a predetermined gap C between the inner circumferential surface of the nut 11 and the outer circumferential surface of the large-diameter section 15b of the collar 15. The size of the gap C is configured to be approximately equal to or smaller than the gap A.

[0036] In the axial direction, the elastic element 20 is positioned between the large-diameter section 15b of the nut 11 and the front end face of the pinion 5. In other words, the axial movement of the elastic element 20 is limited by the large-diameter section 15b and the front end face of the pinion 5, and accordingly, the elastic element 20 is held on the coil shaft 2.

[0037] By arranging the elastic element 20 in this way, the collar 15, accompanied by the elastic deformation of the elastic element 20, is movable in the radial direction with respect to the nut 11. Accordingly, bending of the coil shaft 2 and / or misalignment or tilting of the collar 15, the nut 11, etc., arranged around the shaft of the coil shaft 2, is possible. Therefore, an increase in the frictional force generated between the collar 15 and the coil shaft 2 can be suppressed. Consequently, the reduction in the rotational power of the pinion 5 can be suppressed, and the coil shaft can move smoothly in the longitudinal direction.

[0038] Meanwhile, the movement of the collar 15 in the radial direction is limited by the fact that the outer circumferential surface of the large-diameter section 15b of the collar 15 touches the inner circumferential surface of the nut 11, when the collar 15 attempts to move a significant distance in the radial direction. SECOND VERSION

[0039] Fig. Figure 3 shows a partially enlarged view of the circumferential surface of the collar according to the second embodiment of the present invention. In the second embodiment, the configurations of the nut 111 and the collar 115 differ from those of the first embodiment. Configurations differing from the first embodiment are described in detail below.

[0040] The collar 115 supports the coil shaft 2, similar to the first embodiment, so that there is a predetermined gap A between the inner circumferential surface of the pinion 5 and the outer circumferential surface of the coil shaft 2 in the axial direction.

[0041] The collar 115 comprises a large-diameter section 115b and a small-diameter section 115a. The large-diameter section 115b is arranged such that its rear end face can contact the front end face of the pinion 5. The large-diameter section 115b is designed such that its outer diameter is smaller than the outer diameter of the pinion 5.

[0042] The small-diameter section 115a has an outer diameter that is larger than the outer diameter of the large-diameter section 115b and is configured to extend forward from the large-diameter section 115b along the coil shaft 2. The inner diameters of the small-diameter section 115a and the large-diameter section 115b are the same.

[0043] A tubular nut 111 is arranged on the outer circumferential section of the collar 115 to receive the collar 115. The nut 111 includes a terminal section 111a, a section 111b with an internal thread, and a stepped section 111c. The section 111b with the internal thread has a similar configuration to the section 11b with the internal thread in the first embodiment and is screwed onto the external thread 5a of the pinion 5.

[0044] The end section 111a is formed on the front inner circumferential surface of the nut 111. The end section 111a has a diameter that is smaller than the outer diameter of the large-diameter section 115b of the collar 115 and is arranged to face the small-diameter section 115a of the collar 115. A predetermined gap C in the radial direction is arranged between the end section 111a and the small-diameter section 115a of the collar 115.

[0045] The stepped section 111c is formed on the inner circumferential surface of the nut 111 between the end section 111a and the internally threaded section 111b. The diameter of the stepped section 111c is larger than the outer diameter of the large-diameter section 115b of the collar 115. The stepped section 111c is arranged to face the large-diameter section 115b of the collar 115. Furthermore, the axial length of the stepped section 111c is longer than the axial length of the large-diameter section 115b of the collar 115, and a gap B is arranged between the two.

[0046] By forming the nut 111 and the collar 115 as described above, the collar 115 can be held on the coil shaft 2 using a simple configuration. In particular, the end section 111a includes a stepped wall 111d formed by the height difference to the stepped section 111c. The large-diameter section 115b of the collar 115 can contact the stepped wall 111d and the tip of the pinion 5. Thus, the collar 115 is arranged such that it is movable in the axial direction by just the gap B between the stepped wall 111d and the tip of the pinion 5. In other words, the axial movement of the large-diameter section 115b of the collar 115 is limited by the stepped wall 111d and the tip of the pinion, and the collar 115 is accordingly held on the coil shaft 2.

[0047] In the present embodiment, the elastic element 20 is arranged between the outer circumferential surface of the collar 115 and the inner circumferential surface of the nut 111. Specifically, the elastic element 20 is arranged between the outer circumferential surface of the large-diameter section 115b of the collar 115 and the stepped section 111c of the nut 111. Accordingly, the collar 115 is movable in the radial direction relative to the nut 111, accompanied by the elastic deformation of the elastic element 20, and a similar effect to that of the embodiment described above can be obtained. OTHER VERSIONS

[0048] Embodiments of the present invention have been described above, but the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above and various modifications can be made without deviating from the scope of the invention.

[0049] In the embodiment described above, the end section 111a and the stepped section 111c are arranged on the nut 111, and the large-diameter section 115b and the small-diameter section 115a are arranged on the collar 115; however, these parts need not necessarily be enclosed. An elastic element can be arranged between the inner circumferential surface of the nut 111 and the outer circumferential surface of the collar 115 without encompassing the end section 111a, the stepped section 111c, the large-diameter section 115b, and the small-diameter section 115a.
