Abstract

Clamping device with a base holder (1) on which clamping jaws (2, 3) are movable relative to each other along a guide, wherein the base holder (1) comprises guide rails (5, 6) projecting parallel to each other and at a distance from each other and ending in a common plane, which are undercut on both sides, characterized in that of the two undercut sides of the guide rails (5, 6) only the inner sides serve as a guide for one clamping jaw (2) and the outer sides for clamping with or as a guide for the other clamping jaw (3), or conversely, the outer sides serve as a guide for one clamping jaw (3) and the inner sides as a guide for or for clamping with the other clamping jaw (3).
