Abstract

System (S) for monitoring the condition of an aircraft (A), comprising: a data processing unit (30); at least one sensor node (20) mountable on or in the aircraft (A), comprising at least one measuring sensor (24a, 24b, 24n), a sensor control unit (23), a rechargeable electrical energy storage device (22) and a photovoltaic cell (21) and designed to transmit measurement data from the at least one measuring sensor (24a, 24b, 24n) to the data processing unit (30) via a wireless network connection (W); and an energy supply device (10) installable in an outer shell (H) of the aircraft (A) with a laser device (11) which can be folded out of the outer shell (H) of the aircraft (A) via a folding or pivoting mechanism (12) and is designed to emit radiant energy to the photovoltaic cell (21) via a laser beam (L) for charging the electrical energy storage device (22).
