Abstract
Device for shortening the start-up time of an internal combustion engine, comprising an electrical load resistor (2) with at least one PTC heating element (32) housed in a casing (4), wherein the electrical load resistor (2) is connected to a generator driven by the internal combustion engine and the casing (4) is mounted on a vehicle having the internal combustion engine in such a way that the heat generated by the device is dissipated exclusively and directly to the environment or stored in the casing (4).
