System (2), comprising a furniture door unit (4) and a household appliance (10) that can be installed in a recess (6) of a furniture environment (8), wherein the furniture door unit (4) comprises a furniture door (12) and a furniture door movement device (14), and wherein the installation niche (6) with the household appliance (10) installed therein is completely concealed in a closed position of the furniture door (12) and is accessible in at least one open position of the furniture door (12) for use of the household appliance (10), and wherein the furniture door (12) in its closed position forms an optical unit with the furniture surroundings (8), the furniture door unit (4) is designed and arranged relative to the installation niche (6) in such a way that in at least one opening position of the furniture door (12) only the installation niche (6) in which the household appliance (10) is installed is visible, characterized by the fact that the household appliance (10) is designed to be suitable for mounting on a rear wall of the installation niche (6) and / or the household appliance (10) is designed to be suitable for mounting on a base (18) of the installation niche (6), wherein the furniture door movement device (14) is attached to the base (18) of the installation niche (6).
