Detailed description

[0014] An exemplary embodiment is described below as an example of the present invention. The descriptions and examples illustrate the exemplary embodiments and do not limit the scope of the exemplary embodiments.

[0015] In the numerical ranges described in stages in this specification, an upper limit or lower limit described in one numerical range may be replaced by an upper limit or lower limit of the numerical range described in other stages. Furthermore, in the numerical ranges described in this specification, the upper limit or lower limit of the numerical range may be replaced by the values shown in the examples.

[0016] In this description, the term "step" does not only refer to a stand-alone step, and even if a step cannot be clearly distinguished from other steps, that step is included in the term "step" as long as the intended purpose of the step is achieved.

[0017] Each component may include several of the corresponding substances.

[0018] When reference is made to the amount of each component in the composition, unless otherwise stated, this refers to the total amount of the multiple substances present in the composition when there are multiple substances corresponding to each of the components in the composition.

[0019] The term “(meth)acrylic” means at least one of acrylic and methacrylic and “(meth)acrylate” means at least one of acrylate and methacrylate.

[0020] In this specification, a cellulose acylate (A) and an aromatic compound (B) are also referred to as component (A) and component (B), respectively. <harzzusammensetzung>-First exemplary embodiment-

[0021] The resin composition according to the first exemplary embodiment comprises a cellulose acylate (A) and an aromatic compound (B) which does not contain a functional group that reacts with the cellulose acylate (A) but contains a long-chain aliphatic group and at least one of a phenolic hydroxy group and a monoglycidyl ether group directly bonded to an aromatic group of the aromatic compound (B).

[0022] A mass ratio (B) / (A) of the aromatic compound (B) to the cellulose acylate (A) is 0.15 or more.

[0023] In recent years, resin compositions containing biologically derived components instead of petroleum have been widely used with a view to building a sustainable society, preventing global warming and conserving depleted resources.

[0024] In particular, environmental pollution and destruction of biological systems due to plastic waste discharged into the ocean have occurred, so there is a demand for a bio-derived and biodegradable resin molded product.

[0025] On the other hand, many biodegradable resin molding products such as cellulose and polylactic acid are reported.

[0026] However, the biodegradable resin molded products all have insufficient biodegradation rate and long life in the environment, are eaten by organisms before decomposition, and are easily eaten by organisms due to their reduced shape due to decomposition.

[0027] In response, a resin molded product with high biodegradability having the above configuration can be obtained from the resin composition according to the first exemplary embodiment. The reasons for this are assumed to be as follows.

[0028] Cellulose acylate (A) (component (A)) is a biodegradable compound. In this mechanism, the molecular chain initially shortens through hydrolysis of component (A). When the molecular chain reaches a certain length, biodegradation by microorganisms begins, and component (A) ultimately forms water, carbon dioxide, and acid.

[0029] It takes time for the molecular chain of component (A) to hydrolyze to a biodegradable length. This is one of the factors that slows the rate of biodegradation.

[0030] Furthermore, since the hydrolysis of component (A) occurs randomly, the decomposition results in a distribution of long and short chains, with the short chains biodegrading relatively quickly, while the long chains remain. This also makes it impossible to increase the rate of biodegradation.

[0031] On the other hand, when the resin composition containing the cellulose acylate (A) (component (A)) and the aromatic compound (B) (component (B)) is exposed to moderate temperature and humidity such as in compost or an alkaline atmosphere and humidity such as in seawater, the monoglycidyl ether group or phenolic hydroxy group (hereinafter also referred to as "epoxide group or hydroxy group") of component (B) has a weak binding force and increased activity because component (B) has a relatively long-chain aliphatic group. Therefore, the hydrolysis of component (A) is promoted.

[0032] In addition, when the mass ratio (B) / (A) of component (B) to component (A) is 0.15 or more, the effect of promoting the hydrolysis of component (A) by the epoxy group or hydroxy group of the aromatic compound (B) is increased and the biodegradation rate of the obtained resin molded product is increased.

[0033] In response to the above, it is believed that a resin molded product with high biodegradability having the above configuration can be obtained from the resin composition according to the first exemplary embodiment. -Second exemplary embodiment-

[0034] The resin composition according to the second exemplary embodiment comprises a cellulose acylate (A) and an aromatic compound (B) which does not contain a functional group that reacts with the cellulose acylate (A) but contains a long-chain aliphatic group and at least one of a phenolic hydroxy group and a monoglycidyl ether group directly bonded to an aromatic group of the aromatic compound (B).

[0035] The solubility of the resin composition in methyl ethyl ketone at a liquid temperature of 25 °C is 200 mg / ml or more.

[0036] From the resin composition according to the second exemplary embodiment, a resin molded product with high biodegradability having the above configuration can be obtained. The reasons for this are assumed to be as follows.

[0037] The cellulose acylate (A) is sparingly soluble in methyl ethyl ketone alone. On the other hand, the resin composition in which the aromatic compound (B) is mixed with the cellulose acylate (A) exhibits increased solubility in methyl ethyl ketone.

[0038] When the solubility of the resin composition in methyl ethyl ketone is 200 mg / ml or more at a liquid temperature of 25°C, the intermolecular force of the cellulose acylate (A) weakens, and the aromatic compound (B) easily mixes between the molecules of the cellulose acylate (A). Therefore, as described above, the effect of promoting the hydrolysis of component (A) by the epoxy group or hydroxy group of the aromatic compound (B) increases, and the biodegradation rate of the resulting resin molded product is increased.

[0039] From the above, it is believed that a resin molded product with high biodegradability having the above configuration can be obtained from the resin composition according to the second exemplary embodiment.

[0040] Hereinafter, the resin composition (hereinafter also referred to as "the resin composition according to the present exemplary embodiment") corresponding to both the resin compositions according to the first and second exemplary embodiments will be described in detail. However, an example of a toner of the present invention may be any toner corresponding to any of the resin compositions according to the first and second exemplary embodiments.

[0041] The resin composition according to the present exemplary embodiment will be described in detail below. [Cellulose acylate (A): Component (A)]

[0043] For example, cellulose acylate (A) is a cellulose derivative of the following general formula (CA).

[0044] In the general formula (CA) A 1 , A 2 and A 3 each independently represents a hydrogen atom or an acyl group and n represents an integer of 2 or higher. However, at least a part of the n A 1 , n / a 2 and n A 3 an acyl group. All the n A 1 in the molecule can be the same, partially the same, or different from each other. Similarly, the n A 2 and n A 3 in the molecule be the same, partially the same or different from each other.

[0045] In the acyl group, represented by A 1 , A 2 and A 3 , the hydrocarbon group in the acyl group may be linear, branched or cyclic and is preferably linear or branched and more preferably linear.

[0046] In the acyl group, represented by A 1 , A 2 and A 3 , the hydrocarbon group in the acyl group may be a saturated hydrocarbon group or an unsaturated hydrocarbon group, and more preferably a saturated hydrocarbon group.

That is, the cellulose acylate (A) is preferably a cellulose acylate (A) containing an acyl group having 1 or more and 6 or fewer carbon atoms. A resin molded product with excellent impact resistance is easier to obtain when the cellulose acylate (A) contains an acyl group having 1 or more and 6 or fewer carbon atoms than when a cellulose acylate (A) contains an acyl group having 7 or more carbon atoms.

[0048] The acyl group, represented by A 1 , A 2 and A 3 , may be a group in which a hydrogen atom in the acyl group is substituted by a halogen atom (e.g., a fluorine atom, a bromine atom, and an iodine atom), an oxygen atom, a nitrogen atom, or the like, and is preferably unsubstituted.

[0049] Examples of the acyl group represented by A 1 , A 2 and A 3 , include a formyl group, an acetyl group, a propionyl group, a butyryl group (a butanoyl group), a propenoyl group, and a hexanoyl group. [0050] Examples of the cellulose acylate (A) include cellulose acetate (cellulose monoacetate, cellulose diacetate (DAC) and cellulose triacetate), cellulose acetate propionate (CAP) and cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB).

[0051] From the viewpoint of improving the biodegradation rate of the resin molded product, the cellulose acetate (A) is preferably cellulose acetate propionate (CAP) or cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB), and more preferably cellulose acetate propionate (CAP).

[0052] The cellulose acylate (A) can be used alone or in combination with two or more of them.

[0053] The weight-average polymerization degree of the cellulose acylate (A) is preferably 200 or more and 1,000 or less, more preferably 500 or more and 1,000 or less, and still more preferably 600 or more and 1,000 or less from the viewpoint of the moldability of the resin composition, the impact resistance of the resin molded product, or the excellent toughness of the resin molded product.

[0054] The weight-average degree of polymerization of the cellulose acylate (A) is determined based on the weight-average molecular weight (Mw) by the following method.

[0055] First, the weight-average molecular weight (Mw) of cellulose acylate (A) based on polystyrene is measured with a gel permeation chromatography apparatus (GPC apparatus: HLC-8320GPC manufactured by Tosoh Corporation, column: TSK-Gel α-M) using tetrahydrofuran.

[0056] Next, the degree of polymerization of the cellulose acylate (A) is determined by dividing it by the molecular weight of the structural unit of the cellulose acylate (A). For example, in a case where a substituent of the cellulose acylate is an acetyl group, the molecular weight of the structural unit is 263 for a degree of substitution of 2.4 and 284 for a degree of substitution of 2.9.

[0057] The weight-average degree of substitution of the cellulose acylate (A) is preferably 2.1 or more and 2.9 or less, more preferably 2.2 or more and 2.9 or less, still more preferably 2.3 or more and 2.9 or less, and particularly preferably 2.6 or more and 2.9 or less from the viewpoints of the moldability of the resin composition and the improvement of the biodegradation rate of the resin molded product.

[0058] In the cellulose acetate propionate (CAP), the ratio of the degrees of substitution of the acetyl group to the propionyl group (acetyl group / propionyl group) is preferably 0.01 or more and 1 or less, and is more preferably 0.05 or more and 0.1 or less, from the viewpoints of the moldability of the resin composition and the improvement of the biodegradation rate of the resin molded product.

[0059] In the cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB), the ratio of the degrees of substitution of the acetyl group to the butyryl group (acetyl group / butyryl group) is preferably 0.05 or more and 3.5 or less, and is more preferably 0.5 or more and 3.0 or less from the viewpoints of the moldability of the resin composition and the improvement of the biodegradation rate of the resin molded product.

[0060] The degree of substitution of cellulose acylate (A) is an index indicating the degree to which hydroxy groups of cellulose are substituted by an acyl group. That is, the degree of substitution is an index indicating the degree of acylation of cellulose acylate (A).

[0061] In particular, the degree of substitution refers to an intramolecular average of the number of substitutions where three hydroxy groups in a D-glucopyranose unit of the cellulose acylate (A) are substituted by an acyl group. The degree of substitution is calculated from the ratio of the peak integral of a hydrogen originating from cellulose to the peak integral of a hydrogen originating from an acyl group using 1 H-NMR (JMN-ECA, manufactured by JEOL RESONANCE Co., Ltd.). [Aromatic compound (B): component (B)]

[0113] The abbreviations of the individual components are as follows. Component (A) = cellulose acylate (A) Component (B) = aromatic compound (B)

[0114] The mass ratio (B) / (A) of component (B) to component (A) is 0.15 or more.

[0115] If the mass ratio (B) / (A) is less than 0.15, the effect of hydrolysis of component (A) by component (B) is insufficient, and a high biodegradation rate cannot be achieved.

[0116] However, if the mass ratio (B) / (A) is excessively large even in a normal environment, such as before transfer to a compost bin or before discharge into seawater, hydrolysis of component (A) may occur, and the shelf life of the resin molded product during use may be reduced. Therefore, from the perspective of preventing excessive biodegradation, the mass ratio (B) / (A) is preferably 0.80 or less.

[0117] From the viewpoint of improving the biodegradation rate and at the same time imparting durability during use of the resin molded product, the mass ratio (B) / (A) is preferably 0.15 or more and 0.80 or less, and more preferably 0.20 or more and 0.50 or less.

[0118] From the viewpoint of improving the biodegradation rate, component (A) and component (B) are preferably included as main components.

These resins can be used alone or in combination with two or more of them. [Properties of the resin composition]

[0134] In the resin composition of the present exemplary embodiment, the solubility of the resin composition in methyl ethyl ketone is 200 mg / ml or more at a liquid temperature of 25 °C.

[0135] When the solubility of the resin composition is 200 mg / ml or more, the effect of promoting the hydrolysis of component (A) by the epoxy group or hydroxy group of the aromatic compound (B) increases and the biodegradation rate of the obtained resin molded product is increased.

[0136] The solubility of the resin composition is preferably 250 mg / ml or more, and more preferably 300 mg / ml or more.

[0137] The solubility of the resin composition is measured as follows.

[0138] In a container, 100 ml of methyl ethyl ketone at a liquid temperature of 25 °C and 50000 mg of the resin composition to be measured are mixed, then ultrasonic waves with an oscillation frequency of 38 kHz are applied for 480 minutes and the mixed solution is then left to stand for 3 hours.

[0139] Next, the solution in the container is filtered through a filter with a pore size of 25 µm and the dry mass of the residue on the filter is measured.

That is, the resin molded product according to the present exemplary embodiment has the same composition as the resin composition according to the present exemplary embodiment.

[0143] Here, in addition to plastic waste, the granular materials (e.g., granular materials with a particle diameter of 1000 µm or less), so-called microbeads, easily pass through various filters and flow into the environment, e.g., the ocean, and must have faster biodegradability than resin molded products such as plastic bags or straws.

[0144] Therefore, the resin molded product of the present exemplary embodiment having rapid biodegradability can have any desired shape and is preferably a granular material (hereinafter also referred to as "resin particles").

[0146] When the particle diameter of the granular material is 3 µm or more, the number of particles per unit weight is not too large, thus preventing a decrease in the biodegradation rate. On the other hand, when the particle diameter of the granular material is 100 µm or less, the specific surface area is increased, and the biodegradation rate is further improved.

[0147] The volume-average particle diameter of the granular material is therefore preferably in the above range.

[0148] The particle size distribution index GSDv of the large diameter side of the granular material is preferably 1.5 or less, more preferably 1.3 or less, and even more preferably 1.2 or less.

[0149] With an almost uniform particle size distribution of the granular material, regular hydrolysis occurs with appropriate opportunity for water contact and the biological degradation rate is further improved.

[0150] The volume-average particle diameter and particle size distribution index GSDv of the large diameter side of the granular material are measured as follows.

[0151] The particle diameter is measured using an LS particle size distribution meter "Beckman Coulter LS13 320 (manufactured by Beckman Coulter, Inc.), taking the cumulative distribution of the particle diameter from the smaller diameter side by volume, and the particle diameter at which the cumulation is 50% is determined as the volume-average particle diameter.

[0152] On the other hand, the cumulative particle diameter distribution by volume is taken from the smaller diameter side, and the particle diameter corresponding to the cumulative percentage of 50% is defined as the number-average particle diameter D50v, and the particle diameter corresponding to the cumulative percentage of 84% is defined as the number-average particle diameter D84v. Then, the particle size distribution index GSDv of the larger diameter side is calculated according to the equation GSDv = (D84v / D50v). 1 / 2 calculated.

[0153] Examples of the methods for producing the granular material include the following methods. 1) a kneading and pulverizing process, wherein the respective components are kneaded and the resulting kneaded material is pulverized and classified to obtain a granular material 2) a dry manufacturing process in which the granular material obtained by kneading and pulverizing is changed in shape by mechanical action or thermal energy to obtain a granular material 3) an aggregation and coalescence process, wherein particle dispersion liquids of the respective components are mixed and the particles in the dispersion liquid are agglomerated and heated and fused to obtain a granular material 4) a solution-suspension method, wherein an organic solvent in which the respective components are dissolved is suspended in an aqueous solvent and a granular material containing the respective components is granulated

[0154] Among them, from the viewpoint of obtaining a granular material having a volume-average particle diameter and a particle size distribution index GSDv of the large diameter side in the above-mentioned ranges, a wet method such as an aggregation and coalescence method and a solution suspension method is preferable.

[0155] The method for molding the resin molded product according to the present exemplary embodiment may be an injection-molded product obtained by injection molding from the viewpoint of a high degree of freedom in the shape.

[0156] The cylinder temperature during injection molding of the resin molded product according to the present exemplary embodiment is, for example, 160°C or higher and 280°C or lower, and preferably 180°C or higher and 240°C or lower. The mold temperature during injection molding of the resin molded product according to the present exemplary embodiment is, for example, 40°C or higher and 90°C or lower, and preferably 40°C or higher and 60°C or lower.
