Abstract

Method for the at least partially autonomous operation of a motor vehicle (10), comprising: - Retain at least one potential conflict area (20) in which there is a potential for conflict with other road users (16), wherein the conflict area (20) is to be traversed by the motor vehicle (10) according to a planned driving maneuver; - Determine at least one observation area (22) to be observed when driving through the conflict area (20) in order to avoid conflicts with other road users (16); wherein at least one dimension (L) of the observation area (22) is determined taking into account at least the following parameters: a) a speed of the motor vehicle (10); b) a type of road user expected in the observation area (22) (16); c) an observed state of the transport infrastructure, with the further steps: - Determining a proportion (23) observable by the motor vehicle (10) and / or a proportion (25) not observable of the observation area (22) and controlling the driving through the conflict area (20) based thereon, wherein if the observable proportion (23) is below a minimum proportion and / or the non-observable proportion (25) is above a maximum proportion,: - Receive at least one type of road user (16) expected to be in the observation area (22); - Determine that no other road user (16) is in the observation area (22) based on the observable portion (23) and / or the unobservable portion (25) of the observation area (22) and the type of road user (16).
