Method for waking a user of a motor vehicle, control device, and motor vehicle

Abstract

A method for waking a user of a motor vehicle (10), wherein a display device (20) of the motor vehicle (10) has a display surface element (28) with a display surface (36) which is adjustably arranged in at least two extension positions; wherein in at least one of the extension positions the display surface element (28) projects at least partially from an interior trim element (30) and a portion of the display surface (36) is visible to a user of the motor vehicle (10), and wherein the display surface element (28) has a different extension height in each of the extension positions; wherein a control device (14): - defines an event independent of any display content to be displayed or shown on the display surface element (28) (S1), and assigns to the defined event a change between at least two of the extension positions of the display surface element (28) (S2), - receives (S3) a control parameter signal from a motor vehicle system (38) of the motor vehicle (10), wherein the received control parameter signal describes control data of the motor vehicle system (38), - checks (S4) whether the control data described by the received control parameter signal meets a predefined wake-up criterion, which is met if the control data indicates a need to immediately notify the user of the motor vehicle (10), - upon fulfillment of the specified wake-up criterion: detects the occurrence of the defined event (S5) and generates an adjustment signal (S6) that describes a change between the at least two extension positions that is repeated at least once, as well as the immediate triggering of the change between the extension positions; and - transmits the generated adjustment signal to the adjustment device (26) (S7).
