Abstract

Control unit (1) for controlling an electric machine (2) to which a pedaling torque (M) Tret ) can be supplied at an angular velocity (ω) by means of a pedal crank, having: - a pedal resistance module (3) configured and adapted to produce a pedaling parameter (k TW ) the pedaling torque (M Tret ) supporting or the pedaling torque (M Tret ) to determine the opposing pedaling resistance quantity, in particular a pedaling resistance current (I) TW ) to determine the flow through an electrical coil of the electrical machine (2); - an inertial module (4) configured and adapted to determine an inertial quantity from a change in the angular velocity (ω) of the pedal, in particular an inertial current (I) Inertia ) to determine the flow through the electrical coil of the electrical machine (2); and - a power module (5) configured and adapted to supply a generator current (I G ) of the electric machine (2) based on the pedal resistance quantity and the inertia quantity.
